We stayed two nights in a studio unit which was drab and poorly furnished with two of the four chairs revealing the inner stuffing. The whole place badly needed renovation. The kitchen utensils were very basic and inadequate. The location was convenient and an excellent restaurant was about 10 minutes walk away in the same street.

Really a pretty basic place, but had good parking and in a good location. Kitchen and bathroom was dated and basic. Really needs a reno. Located on the main road into town. Close to shops and services.

Easy, comfortable and average accommodation. But can honestly say in the month we toured in the South Island our reception here was appalling. Despite having pre booked and paid we were at first told there was no record of our booking. No apology, no smile, no welcome, our pregnant receptionist couldn't even get up off her chair and show us...

Very basic room- looked a bit like a prison. However very spacious and we actually slept well. Fine location- restaurants only a 15minute walk away. Whilst the decor and facilities were aged, it did provide everything we needed.

We had a two bedroom unit, second floor. One of the two with a balcony which was pleasant. No complaints - though you don't see old style TV's much these days! Not the most comfortable bed - as others have said some updating needed. Its also on the "main" road which means noise first thing in the morning. Also a...

Stayed here for one night and that was long enough. Slept badly due to soft lumpy bed. Living area was clean and tidy, kitchen equipment not in the best condition and not very clean. I particularly disliked the bathroom. Did not see owner until check- out time. Not on hand to welcome or give advice was not good.

As we drove into Akaroa on a long weekend Saturday we were so happy to see a vacancy sign out the front of this place. A quick call to the owner using their phone at the office (the owner was at another set of flats somewhere in the village) and we had secured a 2 br unit (2 queen size...

We found the unit very tired and in need of significant refurbishment. Didnt see the owner during our stay, key was left in the unit door and a note on the office door with details of our unit. Very disappointing for the cost.

Good location and room was clean but the 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in is badly in need of redecoration (breeze block walls!) and the kitchen section needs replacing. Settee was grubby and not particularly comfortable. This was the only accommodation we found in 3 weeks travelling around South Island where no free wifi was available. Akaroa hosts many Cruise...

Situated in a good location as you drive into Akaroa this motel complex is close to all shops, restaurants and other places of interest located close to the town. Seriously in need of redecorating it was however clean and well laid out. Compared to other establishments we stayed out during our 10 day stay in the South Island this one...
