This hotel is fabulous! We stayed 3 nights in September and it was wonderful! the room was perfect and the bed was comfortable. The view from our balcony was breathtaking looking at the Alps and the waterfall. The breakfasts were delicious and so were the two dinners we ate there. The gardens were lovely. The hotel was in a great location and it was easy to walk everywhere or catch the bus. What a charming hotel that made our anniversary trip perfect!

We stayed 6 nights : 4 nights at e valley view superior and 2 nights at jugfrau spa superior . The jungfrau spa superior room is bigger with a big bathtub , big L shape balcony with a very stunning view . The breakfast is good . The ambiance is very nice with the nice view . The display is very neat and clean . The food is very good and fresh ( dinner and breakfast ) . The only things i hope that this hotel will have an elevator for the luggage so we dont have to carry upstair or a porter to help us . The location is very convenient close to the train station , supermarket , and the gondola station

We visited from Costa Rica and had high expectations of the region and the hotel and did not disappoint, the rooms have amazing views to the mountains, the room was big and very clean, the service was amazing and the food is some of best we had in our trip, I highly recommend to try the wood oven pizzas and the wine selection. Thank you very much for everything!

Our room was listed as a "Staubbach" room. It had a great view of the Valley and the Falls. It was on the upper floor of the annex building just across the small street in front of the hotel lobby. It was very quiet at night. During the day, we could sit on the balcony and listen to the cow bells. We ate in the hotel restaurant all three nights and had wonderful Swiss specialties each evening. The breakfast buffet was great with a large selection. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Hint for those like us that brought a car. Upon arrival, stop at the lobby first and check in. You can not get into their parking lot behind the hotel without a room key card. Also, when walking to the train and gondola stations, no need to walk down the hill using the road. Across the street from the hotel lobby is a gravel path and cement steps that come out right next to the grocery store on the main street. Much shorter. We recommend staying in Lauterbrunnen when visiting this area. Gives you the option of going up into the mountains on either side of the valley quickly. While the main street of Lauterbrunnen was crowded with other tourists and vehicles most of the day, the Hotel Silberhorn was secluded from all the traffic.

I booked this place on hotels.com. showed single room when you look at the pictures shows a beautiful room with a balcony for the exact same room shown in the picture. The room I got is old with the window facing a courtyard or the back street. The bathroom showed modern with heated towels what I got is a very old dated room and bathroom. The description on Hotels.com shows twin for the bed. It is a single. And the sink is in the bedroom. There's no elevator yet in the hotel so any floor you're on you're carrying your own bags all the way up. And you start with a fairly steep Hill from the main road to get up to the hotel. Knowing what I know now I would never stay here. I'm only here two nights so I'll put up with it and just write my honest review about what I think about it. Pretty much looks like a motel room from the '70s.

We only spent one night but it served us well as a jumping off point to explore the valley. The exterior has a classic Swiss look but the rooms are very contemporary. Our rooms had a view of the valley - just lovely. The staff was very friendly. An ample breakfast buffet awaited us in the morning which included some American options, i.e. scrambled eggs and pancakes. They provided a place to keep our luggage until we left in the afternoon - a very valuable service.

We stayed one night here following four days in Murren. Great location very close to the train and gondola stations with access to many hike options. We were only able to reserve a standard double. It was small but very comfortable and modern, with a nice balcony. After check in we enjoyed sipping wine on the outdoor terrace. Dinner that night in the restaurant was excellent as was the service. Recommended!

A healthy 4.5. The room, the bathroom, and the balcony were comfortable and in good condition. The hotel was hidden from view when we emerged from the train station and we had to hunt around a bit to find it. But, being one block off the hyper-crowded Main Street has its merits. The breakfast was great with plenty of options. We had dinner in the the hotel restaurant on our first full day and the menu had one of the better selections in the area with friendly service. The front desk staff was cheerful and helpful. As with a previous reviewer, unusual heat for the region rendered the room uncomfortable to come back to after several miles of hiking. The only thing I truly hated is something that I find in too many hotels everywhere...where the only bedding is a hot heavy comforter. In the middle of the ski season, that may work out well. But for a summer night where the low is in the 50s, its a poor option.

If I could give a 4.5, that is what I would give the Hotel Silberhorn. The hotel had a great location that is close to the train station but a little removed from the overcrowded Main Street. The room itself (including closets), the bathroom and toilet room, and the balcony were a great size, and the furnishings were in great condition. The breakfast had lots of food and drink options; the hotel restaurant service for dinner was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious (much better than Hotel Oberland). Some of the best dishes were the carrot and ginger soup, the pumpkin soup, the roasted trout, and the deer steak. The front desk staff, while reserved, were accommodating and helpful. And, the price was reasonable. The small things that would have made it a true 5 would be having a refrigerator in the room and providing more fans or AC to combat the extreme stuffiness in the room. I appreciate that Switzerland has not been accustomed to the recent summer heat, but it was still not comfortable to come back to a hot room after a day in the sun.

Highly recommend! Our room (#11) was lovely and spacious, views of the mountainside were beautiful, the breakfast buffet was delicious (and had much more variety than expected!), the location of the property was perfect, and the hospitality was wonderful. This was our first trip to Switzerland, following a river cruise down the Rhine. Unfortunately, it rained A LOT every day while we were there, and to make things worse I became sick on our very first day. (You KNOW you stayed in a great place when you can rave about it despite the fact you were sick AND the weather was bad!) Our room was very clean and well appointed with super comfy bedding, a nice large bathtub and shower, and a comfortable lounger for gazing at the mountain views. 5/5 stars for Hotel Silberhorn!
