My hubby and I stayed recently in the month of June at the Horner Pub Hotel in Lauterbrunnen and I have to say that it was one of the loveliest stays in our visits to the Interlake region in Switzerland. Even before we arrived we were already experiencing wonderful service by Angie who kept in touch with us the whole...

This review is for CHALET Horner (apartment run by T. Steiger) not Pub Horner… Our family of four stayed in the two bedroom Schilthorn apartment for four nights. Mixed reviews from the family, but I liked it. Pros: - extremely good price compared to local hotels - great location in center of town, across from Hotel Oberland - rooms were...

Spent an easy 2 hours in the afternoon at the pub after hitch hiking across Switzerland. Immediately felt at home with the friendly staff and the wooden bar. Drinks were really good and reasonably priced (for Switzerland!). Other people said the food was excellent. They also have a free discotech upstairs which is frequented by locals, sports folks, and travelers....

I echo the post of Jeanette D on 24 June 2012 - this review is regarding CHALET Horner, run by Teresa Steiger. It looks as though some there is a mix of reviews here, some for CHALET HORNER and other for Hotel Horner. We visited CHALET HORNER in early April 2014 and stayed in the Jungfrau apartment on the first...

The Horner is a great place to stay if you are looking for a budget place to stay. It's not luxurious, but its location is fantastic and it directly above the a bar. It can be a bit noisy, but the staff there are always friendly. They also have a great range of apartments to rent which are well equipped.

We stayed at Chalet Horner for four nights. The Jungfrau apartment was small but well equipped with wonderful views of the valley and falls. The balcony just great with all day sun. Good value for Lauterbrunnen.

I've been visiting Lauterbrunnen every year for over 10 years now, and have been in the Horner countless times for a beer, and even had to stay there a couple of times in a pinch. It's half the price of any other "hotel" in Lauterbrunnen, but well under half as nice. If you're looking for budget accommodation, there are other...

This was the best place to stay for our visit to Switzerland. We had nine people with ages from 80 to 9 years of age. We had the first floor of the apartment and the room right outside. This was perfect for the number of people we had The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner. Tthe...

This review is for the Horner Pub Apartment across from the Pub which is owned by the same people, but not as easy to find on the web. Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids spent the end of June 2013 in the top apartment (4th floor) which included the entire floor and had three bedrooms (two beds pushed...

I guess we stayed at the Chalet, it was across the street from the pub and we had the whole bottom floor! It was really big for the two of us we had a living room (with cable and 2 couches), kitchen, bedroom and bathroom! More than we needed, but nice! It was definitely dated, like 70's IKEA but was...

“The bath tub was hard for the older members of the family. The apartment on the bottom level was a shower that we were able to use for a few days. The first floor apartment had bunk beds and then the living room had a pull out bed. The church was a bit loud on the living room side.”

“We stayed in Jungfrau (single bedroom with kitchenette) and Schilthorn (one bedroom with kitchenette) right next door, so our two balconies were right next to one another, with that same incredible view. It is so worth it to stay here just for that view. But also for the cleanliness, friendliness, and overall atmosphere of this place, which is not a hotel but a true Chalet and also Teresa's home (hence the beautiful garden which surrounds it and is part of your view).”
