Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice and modern hotel. Everything was totally clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. And view is amazing. All the food is perfect! (for Michelin star surely). Also good for kids. If you have allergies, that is no problem for them. Cook prepare food especially for you. Wellness is nice and quiet, with two saunas and jacuzzi. We did hiking on Gerlachovský štít. It was unfogettable experience!!! Thank you Tono Suchý 🤩

I was very disappointed with the hotel's staff. I never leave negative reviews but both hotel managment and potential clients should be aware of this. I have reserved the winter romantic getaway promotion for myself and my partner (with 3 course dinner, 2 course lunch, welness, view point, welcome fruit basket and welcome bottle of wine, late check included), and when I got to the room, there was no welcome gifts. My partner came down to reception to inform them of the mistake, and their answer was "we don't have it on the system and we can't honour any of that". Great! So due to their system fault, they were not able to honour the conditions of the reservations and they didn't even offer partial refund. The reception didn't follow up to understand why it didn't appear on their system, simply they blamed me for booking it incorrectly where I definitely booked it the correct way, because I ensured that the promotion code is included, and yes, yes it was. Very disappointing. This would never take place in an actual 4 star hotel on the West of Europe. After the incident, we felt very negative vibe from reception not even saying hello to us or giving ua looks for I believe being "demanding guests" since we have paid for this. This stay was supposed to be my birthday treat, and they absolutely destroyed the weekend. At the same time, we got a confirmation that they would be able to cater for vegans. During breakfasts vegan people could eat 1 particular bread and jam and some fruit unless it was already eaten by other guests. That's it. One bread type and jam and maybe pineapple. No ham/cheeses/butter/eggs alternatives. Nothing. For dinner, the guests have about 10 different meal options and they all look amazing. For vegans? Fries and vegetable salat. Not one hot meal replacement, you don't eat meat or cheese? Eat raw salad. This isn't acceptable and this clearly isn't "catared for vegans" but "we happen to have salad and fries since other guests would like that too. It's not difficult to make a soup without cream, or to make curry without meat. Thank God, I got only 2 nights in the hotel because on salads only (and bread and jam) you wouldn't be able to function long term.

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel states the quality of 4 stars, but this is not true. The standard is equal to 3 star hotel. Our room was very smelly and the radiator was not working although the weather was cold, 0 degrees outside. We informed receptionist about this issue, but we didn't receive any solution. The meal was ok, but the wait service was very poor. Every time we came to any table there were dirty dishes from previous guests and it took more than 20 minutes till they took it away and ordered our drinks. Do not expect, that they will serve you gin tonic for 10 euros in proper glass, because they will serve it to you in wine glass. (OMG) Overall we paid 600 euros for two nights for cold smelly room with poor guests service... Not to be a total hater, the view of mountains is spectacular.

Planning a family trip to the High Tatras? You will hardly find a better spot for your hiking plans. Bueautiful mountains, lake, waterfall, spa, fine dining and quiet and beautifull nature all around. My kids loved the selection of food and deserts in the hotel restaurant and they are already looking forward for our next visit here. Cheers!

The location of the hotel is very unique - it is located just next to the mountain lake and between the wonderful mountain range. Even if the weather might not be sunny during your stay, it offers breathtaking views. Breakfasts and dinners were excellent, we were very surprised by the variety and tastefulness of the dishes. They even offer gluten free choices. Rooms are cozy and warm, service is extremely polite, we just felt as if we were home only with all inclusive service included :)

Really enjoyed the stay here prior to a winter ascent of Mount Gerlach. The hotel staff were so helpful with everything whilst both the food and accommodation were both excellent . It was also a real bonus to be collected in the snow tractor . After a winter trek do grab yourself a relaxing massage.

I like this place Let’s start with the good Bar staff - excellent Breakfast - excellent Dogs welcome - thank goodness yes Views - excellent Comfortable - very good Inside temp - very warm Bathroom - excellent Bed - good Wi-fi - excellent Now the things that I didn’t like - small details but I would be better prepared next time No info at all in the room about the hotel or it’s services Football tables on each floor - good for kids .... but the noise from it in our room gets annoying at 2200 Spa - hmmm not great, whirlpool cold and with a layer of scum on the top of the water, but steam and dry sauna are good Gets busy so book your 1 hour slot early Pillows on the bed are useless. Summary It’s in a lovely place and is still good value for money Would I stay there again??? 100% yes

This place has simply amazing location, rooms are designed to have a lake view and it is definately best spot in high tatras with views directly from room. Hotel is in high attitude, reachable by car /only for acommodated guests/ so not crowded as lakes lower! Hotel is very comfy, rooms are cozy, wellness with amazing view. Great food for breakfast and dinners as well. Important notice is that this is mountain lodge = means, not a kempinski, not in a town /no shopping and night clubs available :))) / Everyone should realize that this place is for hiking lovers, as there is not much to do in surroundings except amazing hikes. Name of the hotel says it, hotel description says it, you just have to read. Also rooms are smaller, as it always is in moutain lodges, so no reason to complains dear travelers :) very recommended for active people, very comfortable mountain place

This seemed a perfect gateway for people looking to spend some time in a special location. We had some questions since not all packages they offer worked on their website. Only the original content in local language works well. We tried to obtain information via email but the level of service was " go back to see all on the website " and while we explained that the English content does not work very well and that it was not possible to book or that not all relevant info are translated "go back to see packages on the website" .... I will never even bother to contact them again.

The hotel itself is ok: mid-small size room (although we booked the superior). Spa is enjoyable (you have to make a reservation in advance for 1 hour. Free of charge). Simple breakfast and dinner. Therefore it is over priced. Pay attention: # it is good if you hike around the hotel or a mountain climber. Other wise, book a hotel in one of the villages on main road below the mountain. # The hotel is in a national park, with a dead end narrow road (leading only to it), still you have to pay 20€ per day per vehicle add this to your room rate and understand (more than 15% of room rate), not clearly stated on the web info). Its 15-17 min drive (up or down). Food is medium level (max) and staff looks tired and not willing to help.
