A Long overdue review of my time spent at the stunning Lakeavenue house.
Whenever you arrive at this scenic lakeside location you are met by the hosts, Joe and Catherine who immediately make you feel at home. The house was warm and inviting with an open log fire in the lounge. Catherine’s food is amazing her cooking ability is equal to her baking, thanks for all the additional food. Thanks also for the interesting chats sat at the dinner table with those sublime views of the lake as a backdrop. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at your beautiful lakeside house and would highly recommended it. Your time and generous hospitality was very much appreciated. Thank you and best regards to your family.

I'm from Southern Oregon, US and stayed here with my two adult children to visit the nearby town of Killeshandra. It could not have been more pleasant at Lake Avenue House. The home is so comfy and well appointed and with modern technology. Very comfortable beds too. The surrounding countryside and lake were great for walks. We had a delicious Irish breakfast, French press coffee each morning and warm lighting and an open door for our return each night. A genuinely warm and kind hostess. Of all the places we stayed on our trip, Lake Avenue House came in as our favorite. We look forward to staying here again.

Fabulous stay with Catherine at her homely b&b for a recent wedding in Cavan. The b&b is situated in quite a remote area but bear with Google maps and you will get there. Not ideally located jf you are attending a wedding in the Slieve Russell as it is a good 15 mins drive away but would definitely return for a home away from home stay. Bedroom and ensuite perfect and comfortable. Freshly cooked breakfast and a great selection too. Thanks!

Lake Avenue is a beautiful guesthouse, set in a stunning location.
The hospitality is second to none and the breakfast was amazing.
Catherine is a wonderful, generous 'bean an tí'.
If you are planning a visit to this beautiful part of Ireland, do your self a favour and stay at this beautiful house, set in a stunning lakeside location.

Lovely place to stay in a beautiful quiet location. Rooms are spotless with all the facilities you would expect. Host Catherine is so welcoming! Delicious breakfasts with home made wheaten bread. It's a little haven for the weary traveller after a day's walking.

My sister and I stayed with Catherine for a couple of nights in March. The accommodations are beautiful and the breakfast was excellent. Great little B+B, lovely house with ensuite rooms , clean and well equipped for short stays in Irish countryside, lovely selection of fruit, cereals, and full Irish for breakfast, would definitely stay again!!!

Catherine welcomed us with tea and scones and it was so nice. We enjoyed a lot our stay, only one night but wonderful ! She gave us good advices for dinner. The irish breakfast was so good and diversified.
The room (n°1) was spacious and clean included the bathroom, we slept very well.

We stayed at Lake Avenue B & B five years ago and were fortunate enough to be able to return to County Cavan last month. We once again stayed in Catherine's home. Once again, it was wonderful. Catherine's hospitality has not changed! We had a lovely time in a beautiful home. Breakfast was excellent. Thank you for a great start to our Ireland vacation!

Stayed Saturday night as no vacancy where we were at, and so happy we got to experience the nice accommodations, warm hospitality, and lovely setting. Owner's daughter gave us a warm greeting with tea and rolls, and had a lovely breakfast in the morning. Would definitely go back again!

1. We are 35 mins drive from Cavan town
2. Yes we would have 2 rooms available for the 14th, 15th and 16th of October. All our rooms are ensuite (toilet, wash hand basin and shower)
3. Or rate per night per person sharing is EUR30.00 and includes a full Irish breakfast.
