We were here on family dinner, but this visit was terrible disaster. Service fine, staff friendly. But: every next beer was warmer and warmer, food was unsalted, cold, carp pomes ( kapri hranolky) uncrispy, without any spice. Pancakes for kids hard and unfresh. Really bad surprise for us
Nice historical building in the centre of Trebon. Beautiful historical interior of the restaurant which has a wide selection of local fish. Quite spacey rooms. Safe parking on the yard. But meals in restaurant were rather average and service was really slow. WiFi only in rooms, not in the restaurant, and it doesn’t work too well. All in all a good average.
We loved this historical building, very nice accommodation and spa and the restaurant with typical fish dishes as well! The food was very tasty and for reasonable prices. Moreover, Třeboň is beautiful, thank you very much for pleasant holidays!
Everything about U Misku is a winner. We had a spacious room for three that had the ability to accommodate four and looked out on the little canal that runs between the town and the Bertiny Spa. If you book treatments at the spa you are, literally, 50 meters and two minutes away when you stay at U Misku. The staff, also running the excellent locally sourced restaurant, are all English fluent. The one exception is the woman taking care of breakfast, but she is kind and understandable with hand gestures (or if you can sputter out a little Czech like we can she is great at deciphering the mess). We thought the yogurt for breakfast was the best ever, and when mixed with the homemade jams, wow! The property is attractive with its indoor restaurant, courtyard and garden restaurant, and has space for four cars to park securely and snuggly inside. Rooms are clean and modern but with the historic characteristics and touches left in place. With many Czech hotels and pensions the bathrooms are brand new, and U Misku's are no exception to that rule. Ours was large and appropriately equipped. One thing is that we were given conflicting information about the pool and whether it was usable or not. Turns out it was. There is also an exercise room available and massages can be arranged upon request. Basically, it is one stop shopping. The WiFi was better in the downstairs area, but that part of the property is pleasant anyway so no biggie. The old town area of Trebon is small and walkable and U Misku is ensconced within it next to the Catholic Church, and as a result you are no more than about 10 minutes walk from anywhere in the lovely center of the city. There is a beautiful park with gorgeous old trees next to the spa and provides a fresh walking or jogging zone. Since the town is all but without real crime you can stroll at any time of the day or night and feel comfortable. A walk around the outside of the old town reveals one attractive trait after another... the canal, wall, castle-like manor house, rams (really), lake, park, brewery/eatery and more. They respond to emails promptly and in clean English. Do not miss the restaurant, which may require reservations at certain times. The fish is locally sourced and/or from their own private lake! They also make delicious cold teas partly with tree flavors. Sounds weird, tastes great.…
This pension is old (17th century) and beautifully maintained. Rooms are sumptuous, The breakfasts are prepared to your taste. The restaurant is quite good serving traditional Czech cuisine, particularly fish dishes for which this region (The birthplace of fish farming) is famous. The location is a short 1/2 block from the historic town square and a short walking distance from the well known spa. If you are going to Trebon for spa treatment, you will need to make your reservations well in advance and have your spa program tailored to your needs. Trebon is an historic and beautiful town located in quite beautiful Southern Bohemia. From this location, all of the greatest attractions of Southern Bohemia are easily accessed, including two UNESCO designated towns. Both are gorgeous, but Cesky Krumlov is peerless in every respect. It's castle is a jewel, 2nd only to Prague Castle in size in all of the Czech Republic!!!…
