Nice historical hotel, exceptional food, not a big selection but very good. The hotel staff are pleasant and friendly. Hotel is a short distance to the lifts, bobsleigh track and children's attractions. At the reception for a fee of 2 euros you can get a goocard and cable cars, and some swimming pools in the area are free of charge, which is great.

We stayed in the hotel during our trip to Lomnický Štít. The hotel is situated approximately 15 minutes walk from the train station. Very quiet part of Tatranská Lomnica not far from the mountains. Came bit early checked in and luggage left in the receptions cupboard. Here I would suggest to put a room tag on the luggage and when room ready put it inside rather then leaving it the reception room. It would be just an extra step to make a better impression. We stayed in the double room. Spotless clean, bathroom needs update but overall with minibar in the room I would give 4.5 stars for the room. Spa was absolutely amazing and I have visited many hotels before and their spa with lot of saunas, massages etc is comparable to 5 star hotels. Outside and inside pool, jacuzzi, bar makes it perfect place to spend time after all day hiking in Tatras. Public areas, toilets and lounge spotless clean and not busy. Absolutely loved the breakfast and is exactly the same standard what you get in 5 star hotels. Huge selection of food, drinks, polite and effective staff. Amazing. I want to say big thanks to Grandhotel Praha staff to make our stay memorable. My expectations I had before our stay were exceeded completely. Thank you. …

We stayed here 2 nights and we enjoyed this stay fullest. Our suite called "modern" but unfortunately it was far away from it. Room was quite big and spacious, but furniture was oldschool. But we've got nice view from our balcony. In our bathroom was waiting for us very cute box with some cosmetic products. Unfortunately we could not use kitchen (what for we chose suite), cause there was absolutely not basic cooking ingredients (like salt, pepper, oil etc) and there was only one cooking pot (but two plates cooking)... Breakfast was absolutely fabulous, 5 stars. Dinner was also delicious. Wellness was great. We really appreciated skipasses included in our stay and enjoyed not planned trip to Lomnicky peak and skiing as well. We would like to come back again.

We have been In this hotel for New Years Eve. Hotel is located In beautiful historical building from 1905y. Room 232 was very comfortable, elegant, well equiped with wonderful view. Bathroom little out of date. Beds are comfortable. Ski room is outside, In front of the hotel. Parking. Amazing spa with saunas, indoor and outdoor heating pool with bobles ( You can lay and observe the moon and stars). Outdoor jacuzzi and sauna. You get towel and special sheet to sauna. Swimming Pool and spa are open from 9 am to 9 pm! Breakfast is excellent! Dinner to. Huge selection very tasty food. Weiters are profesional. They put knives, forks and spoons on table In white gloves! Every evening is wonderful live piano music In the lobby. Party for New Years Eve was elegant, with delicious food with live music and super concert Gladiator group. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. They have only one thing to change. It is coffee. Coffee is realy not tasty.…

Liked · The hotel is built and designed in a way how I imagine old luxury hotels with grace. Staff is very professional and very attending. Although we were visiting on last weekend before December (the ski season was still off, and lift to Skalnate Pleso and Lomnicky Stit has been serviced, so was off as well), the hotel was quite full. Food was very good, breakfast very rich, dinners with pianist. Room was very pleasant, bed was fluffy, I was especially glad that we had valley view and not the parking place view. Disliked · It´s not the fault of the hotel, but we wanted a massage, wanted to reserve it immediately after we came, but it was already fully booked for the entire weekend. Also during our stay the nice outdoor pool was under reconstruction, so it was closed. All is good, because we were informed upfront, on the hotel´s website. Hotel is part of chain of hotels in the area, and to the mother company (TMR) belongs also few ski slopes in the area. If you have a card called "goPass" and you are accomodated int he hotel, you get free ticket for every day of accomodation to use in any lift which operates at the moment. That we wanted to use on Sunday after we checked out from the hotel, we went to Strbske Pleso to take a lift to Solisko and unfortunately we found out that the card wasn´t charged. So that is what wasn´t working. I am unaware is I had to explicitly say that I want to go there, or is there was just a mistake happening, but result is that this benefit I wanted to use and couldn´t.…

We stayed at the Grandhotel Praha in August 2022, after a 15 year absence from this historic property in the High Tatra mountains of northern Slovakia. This hotel is fantastic! The rooms had been renovated since our previous stay. We had the Half Board option, so breakfast & dinner were included. Both meal services were delicious, and varied each day. The spa in the hotel was wonderful, with dry & wet heat options, and a cold dip pool. The spa was busy each day, but not overly crowded. Hiking options up the mountain will appeal to anyone, from a casual day hiker to more serious mountain climber types. Service in the hotel is impeccable. The front desk, restaurant, & bar all have excellent staff. Two who especially stood out were Natália & Jan in the bar / restaurant, both great team members. Jan’s mixologist skills were impressive, and Natália was an exceptional server. Both made our stay much more enjoyable. Something that stood out to me was how rude some guests were to the staff; we saw scenes that were borderline abusive. Difficult guests seem to have too much power in hotels like this, with staff having no choice but to smile and accommodate them. I hope the Grandhotel Praha appreciates their superior team and treats them well! Overall I highly recommend this property, and look forward to staying here again in the future!…

Their service is exceptionally good and supportive. They are going extra mile to to serve customers. Atmosphere is warm and friendly. Rooms are perfect with beautiful view. Pools are one of the bests to enjoy . I highly recommend it for visitors of Slovakia.

This hotel was absolutely perfect, but I guess 20 years ago. Now it pretends to be classy with high quality offer. But it is just pretending. The equipment in the bathroom should be changed as it is really low quality. Anyway, comparing with the offer around, it was a good choice. Spacious rooms, big swimming pool. Reception staff absolutely requires some training. The dinner was a nice surprise, they offered great selection of food. A bottle of champagne was only 30 euro, which was also a nice surprise.

I stayed in this 4* hotel for 4 nights in august this year and I was quite disappointed. One night we spent in the room n.16, below this room is the terrace of the hotel restaurant, which is open until 12 p.m. It was very noisy there and we could not sleep. Next day we had to changed the room and stayed in the second floor, room n. 212. Small old dark dirty room without balcony, only the view was beautiful. The hotel has no quality of 4 stars hotel ! I cannot recommend staying in this hotel ! Only the food was great and wellness too.

I was there three days and im really impressed. Food was great, they had huge selection as well. I can eat only gluten and lactose free food, when i told it to waiters, they were so helpful. I got even gluten free bread and desert. Welness is awsome, warm pool outside was amazing, as was hot tub inside. My room was great as well. You have to wear a face mask except in your room, welness and of course when you are eating. Also you need to be vacctinated or you had to have covid in last 180 days and you also need a test. Overall I had great three days. I will definitly come back.
