We visited the hotel with little child. I consider holiday and the hotel as a very good choice for the price we paid. First- i liked a wellness a lot! In the kid’s pool and in the pool is actually quite warm water what is very nice. It’s reconstructed and looks good. Rooms are a bit outdated but clean. I found them as well big enough. The staff was nice and friendly, some waiters did not have always good mood, but nothing too seriously. They have little kids play room. The dining, bar and reception is reconstructed as well. Food- good, something was better, something not that good but still for breakfast and dinner it was enough choices and we were not hungry. Some evenings that was “music playing”. This i would skip if i can, it’s really for older generation.
The family room is above average. The equipment corresponds to the class of the hotel. What I deserve the mention and praise is the wellnes center with swimming pool, which is part of the accommodation. The wellnes center also includes a children's pool with hot water, entertainment for the youngest. Two types of saunas, a massage department, a relaxing part, etc. are obvious. The quantity of the diet is replaced by the quality of the meals served. The hotel has a hairdressing salon, a garage and a smaller children's room. The hotel with its friendly staff is a very good choice for clients looking for a price / quality ratio, but it does not have to worry even more demanding clients for which there are also large apartments.
I stayed at the Urań for a week. Great location as it is really near to the ski slopes which was our main goal. It is an old hotel and the rooms are small (but with enough room for luggage at the entrance of the room). The pool has an extra fee and it is only free from 6 to 10. Food is decent although for dinner drinks must be bought separately. Each buffet has different selection. Nothing really elaborate. Average quality of fruit. There is a locker room for the skis but in a very uncomfortable location as you have to go up and down stairs with the skis. Great view of the tatry mountains from the room.
Excellent location. Amazing wellness named Urania, pool for swimming or relax too. Good hotel with good staff with good halfboard for good money. Rooms are small but with enough place for dress snd skii.
For the staff, you can have nice or totally...not nice (some strange behaviours from some of the waiters). The most profesional were at reception, nice and polite. The interior is little bit more retro than i would like (socik). Food is catered more towards meat eaters.
Clean, renovated, good enough but nothing special. If you like eighties. Nice spa with too warm water. The main problem is staff. No smiles, not helpful, same style like 30 years ago. Check out at 10 am with no exception. Breakfast very poor. Very bad coffee and juice. Pitty.
We visited the hotel Urán many times. For the first time even within the union recreation. So we can evaluate how this shall be developed and what is the current level of service. This hotel is situated on the west end of Tatranská Lomnica - at the main road, 5 minutes’ walk to the train and bus stations, not far from the valley station at Skalnaté pleso and Lomnický Peak. So you can get at any starting point in the High Tatras. A trip to Lomnický štít peak by chair lift is among the most attractive adventures for tourists in the High Tatras. The hotel offers accommodation in modern furnished apartments, family rooms, single and double rooms with an extra bed, which is equipped with a bathroom, toilet, telephone, LCD TV with SAT programs and balcony. The rooms are quite small and no fridges. The hotel has wheelchair access and is equipped with 2 handicapped-accessible rooms. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel zone. Spectacular views of the mountains are mainly from the sun terrace on the seventh floor of the hotel. Hotel guests can enjoy free parking at the hotel or the garage for a fee. Breakfast and dinner are served in the hotel restaurant in the form of hot and cold buffet, three-course lunch (appetizer, soup, main course, dessert) for registered guests are served with choice of 3, including a vegetarian menu. The food was good. Comfortable seating and a wide selection of drinks in a lobby bar.. To improve services, the hotel has undergone a complete makeover pool in a new Wellness Urania, in which can be used stainless relaxation pool with water attractions, two children's pools connected stainless steel slides with water hedgehog, a Finnish sauna, a steam bath and various massages. In this reconstruction, however, it was canceled Fit Center. The staff is nice. The hotel manager could be seen among the guests throughout the day and into the evening. Compared to previous visits was minimal social and cultural program at the hotel. Hotel for many years keeps their standard. We like to turn back to the hotel, this time again in the winter.…
Stayed 2 nights in August 2015. Its location is perfect. Very close to ski lift or station. Everything within walking distance. Room was small, kid cot was available (extra charge). Room was clean but little bit old although newly furnished. Sheets were clean but older with holes as well as towels. Breakfast and dinner was included and was ok, served as buffet. We paid for drinks during dinner, they are not included. Wellness area was renovated and lovely. I recommend to go on the rooftop of hotel. Perfect view on the whole Tatr. Lomnica and surroundings as well as Lomnicky stit or Skalnate pleso. This is a calm hotel occupied mainly by families and couples. Reconstructed older hotel I would rate 3- or 2+.
Stayed 4 nights in february, access to swimmingpool every day. Sauna was only fridays and cost money. breakfast and dinner was included and was ok. Pool table cost extra but its worth it. Stayed in room 112 and it was nicely furnished, flatscreen tv, new mattresses, quick wifi access in rooms. The staff speak better german than english. The heater wasn't on all day/night so we had trouble drying our snowboard clothes and gear. Its walking distance to ski lift. Try HUMNO club (more touristy) or Swift club (more local) if you are bored after skiing. The hotel reception and furniture is all brand new and the bed mattresses. The hotel feels in a good shape. the swimming pool area is supposed to be renovated next year. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOTEL, its for families or calm couples.
Helpful and friendly staff. Solid beds and matresses to keep your back firm. Nourishing food served in cafeteria style restaurant. Good for quiet evenings and early nights - no bar staying up late. Convenient location close to rail and cable car stations.
