Detailed Reviews
This is a wonderful hotel. It is beautifully furnished, maintaining the grace and style of traditional architecture but made modern and extremely comfortable with the latest fixtures and bathrooms. The room was spacious with windows that open and a comfortable bed. Best of all was the delicious food served at the restaurant and the friendliness of the staff. The town of Levoca is off the beaten track but well worth a visit. Don't neglect to take a hike to the church on top of the nearby hill for the great vistas.

Clean and comfortable with a good range of breakfast items. The restaurant was also excellent for an evening meal. The town is very quiet but ideally situated to the national parks and there were some great little bars nearby.

A small, family-run, very hospitable hotel in the center - we had a spacious, comfortable and very clean room, and the food in the restaurant was excellent! Also very suitable for our meeting - a pleasant, quiet atmosphere - nothing was left to be desired. We'll be back! Next time for a vacation too. Thank you very much!

Room overlooking the main square of Levoce, excellent polite staff, lovely kitchen. There are several ancient churches of different denominations in the city. Beautiful architecture and the mountains around it

+1
We recently finished a few weeks travelling around Central Europe and this hotel among all the others (3,4 & 5 star) stood out for a variety of reasons. The town itself is fabulous with amazing buildings throughout (don’t forget to look up!) but the reception we received at this hotel was warm and welcoming - the owner spoke perfect English, as did many of the staff, and really went to exceptional lengths to ensure everything was perfect.
We stayed in one of the apartments (top floor - lift to second floor and short flight of stairs to apartments) and even after viewing the photos on their website we were surprised by the enormous space we had. We had a twin bedroom, large living room/kitchen and a ‘very large’ double room, plus seperate Toilet and Bathroom.
The restaurant downstairs has excellent, reasonably priced food and very good service.
The town is less than an hours drive from the Tatra Mountain resorts and 30 minutes from Slovensky Raj National Park both areas of exceptional beauty and fabulous walking so makes a perfect base for these areas as well as the surrounding countryside with its castles and churches.
I am aware I have used a lot of superlatives here in describing this hotel and town but the Hotel U Leva stood head and shoulders above many higher ranked hotels and is one we would genuinely go back to.
The downside? – Please can someone oil the weather vane on the town hall!

Very clean, newly-renovated hotel in the center of this picturesque mountain town.
The staff speak English and are very helpful and friendly. They have wireless and wired internet and happily supply cables for the latter. Parking is out of sight at the rear, and is secure.
The restaurant is also up to a high standard with many local specialties on the menu and good Czech beer on draught.
Very highly recommended and excellent value for money.

Levoca is one of those little gems many people missed because they spent time in larger, more famous cities. Small, yet packed with charm, the city remains unspoiled by mass tourism. It is also blessed with a number of excellent hotels that rival any others in Central Europe. Among the newest and finest in an already competitive market is the Hotel U Leva. The owner, the amiable Vladimir Petroci has spared no expense in his tasteful and luxurious renovation of this wonderful centuries old townhouse on the main square.
The rooms are huge and beautifully appointed. Many over look the picturesque and historic Town Hall and all come with minibar, satellite tv with CNN, BBC as well as many other foreign channels. The staff is warm and helpful and eager to please.
Another huge plus is the hotel restaurant. Having visited Levoca no less than 10 times over the years I can say that you will NOT find a better meal in town. The menu offers one of the best steaks I have had in Central Europe as well as a number of lighter pasta dishes which come as a welcome relief from the sometimes heavy (though tasty) Slovakian cuisine. A number of excellent local wines are available by the glass or bottle. White wines of this quality would cost 3or 4 times the price in Western Europe.. Order with impunity and be amazed at how forgiving the bill is on your pocket book.
Save room for the wonderful deserts and a slivowitz and coffee.
Levoca is one of those bucolic places that will not remain undiscovered for long. If you looking for a quiet, romantic
getaway in a lovely part of Europe look no further than Levoca with its beautiful rolling hills , quiet charm and great hotels.

Stayed at U Leva again for 3 nights. The staff at this hotel speak very good english and are always very pleasant. I had a choice of two rooms and decided to stay in a room with view over the square. The room itself was fantastic with sitting room, kitchen, built in wardrobes, twin bedroom, bathroom with seperate wc and another double bedroom with sitting, tv, mini bar, telephone. The rooms were very spacious, airy, exceptionally clean and very modern. The breakfast served in the dining room is self service buffet and always adequate to start a days sight seeing. The manager of the hotel Vladimir met with me as I was checking out and was very interested in how I had found out about Levoca and his hotel. If you are thinking of coming to Levoca I would recommend this hotel as it ticks all the right boxes.

U Leva was a delightful experience. We were greeted at the front desk with a friendly smile and made to feel very welcome . Our rooms were spotlessly clean and well furnished. Dinner in the adjacent restaurant was well prepared. The town center is charming and historical. The staff helped us get to the proper bus stop for our onward travels. Great stop.

U Leva was a lovely place to stay. The staff spoke excellent English (uncommon for that part of the country we found), the room was comfortable, very clean and newly decorated. We had a separate bathroom which was nice although couldn't understand the lack of shower curtain! levoca is a lovely place and i am very much looking forward to returning there.
