Staff friendly, seats outside are quiet and clean, I mean the street is around the corner. Simply, its above the Slovak/Czech average. Btw, you can leave your car at the post office for one hour for free.
Hej, Slováci, je to nadpriemer na naše pomery. Parkujte pri pošte, ak ste narýchlo.
We were ordering and it was a little chaotic as it was nine of us. The waitor got the order wrong and brought in an extra beer that we did not order so the waitor, instead of trying to solve the situation got angry and said: "Next time think twice before you order from me so that YOU don´t make this mistake!" We were surprised about this reaction but let it be. The waitor´s attitude however only worsened. He barely came to our table, some of us got to wait almost one hour for the food and when we asked where the food is as some of us were already done with the food and some were still waiting he said: "Look into the menu, you have the times of preparation there" and just left.
When the pizza finally came it was pulled so that it was reaching out of the plate so the waitor brought it almost in his hands, put it on the table (the pizza was literally both on the plate and on the table) and then put the pieces that were sticking out of the plate back to the plate WITH HIS HANDS. He just laughed and said "extra pulled for you".
We were shocked about the bad quality and attitude of the service and we definitely will NEVER come back there!
PS: the beer we didn´t want and he took it away without us drinking it was included in our receipt!
After we got to the room we found a little "welcome surprise" in the toilet. Last visitor left a mark in there and the housekeeping did not see it (or did not care about it) so this was a huge shock to start with. Also there was dust everywhere (I know its not possible to get rid of all the dust but if you know that guests are coming just wipe it the same day - problem solved). The room was big enough, and except for the two mentioned things, good. Comfy bed, minibar and TV. All you need before you go to sleep.
As soon as we unpacked we went for dinner to hotel restaurant. Food was very well cooked however the service was just poor. There were two waitresses however one of them was really chaotic. As soon as I ordered a beer she turned and was about to leave giving me no chance to order beer for my girlfriend or the food. I had to call her back to finish the order (and we were not the only ones who experienced the same thing). Bringing a jar of lemonade without cups was just the top of the evening.
Unpleasant surprise come on saturday. We went for dinner to hotel restaurant around 20:45. Kitchen opened till 8 PM and they were closing the restaurant at 9 PM. No I am not joking this is serious thing. Dont expect to eat dinner there after 8 PM on Saturday. The one waitress from previous day even turned down 10 customers and asked them to leave. Closing the restaurant at 9PM at the beginning of the season is completely insane. After this experience we went to the near by city square that is packed with restaurants and people (almost all of them were full). This is not how you do business.
And on top of everything they charged us for parking and nobody felt the need to tell us when we checked in.
Also a good tip - if you have to make a reservation here request a room facing backyard and not a street if you want to get a nice sleep otherwise you will hear some drunk guys yelling at 2 AM.
"There is actually no wi-fi in most of the rooms but a cable connection. If you need wi-fi per se, ask for a room that is close to the stairs or close to the reception / restaurant."Read full review
