Detailed Reviews
This is a very pleasant little hotel with traditional decor and comfortable rooms. The location is ideal on the little town 'square' and just a few minutes walk from the castle and park around it. Our rooms also had perfect views of the castle. Parking on-site for a small fee, wifi worked well.
Breakfast for a small fee but was good with hot options. We didn't eat in the hotel except for breakfast but there were plenty of restaurants with terraces on the square outside.
Service was very good, friendly, and English-speaking, but not intrusive.
Very good choice for a weekend or other stay.

Rovnako priľahlé kaviarne a rešturácie boli veľmi príjemne.
Excellent accommodation. Rooms and the entire hotel is interestingly furnished, in addition to the wine shop, there is also a sauna and whirlpool. The staff was very friendly and always willing to fulfill our wishes, whether in terms of food, drink or information about the area. The hotel room overlooks the beautiful castle. The adjacent cafes and restaurants were also very pleasant.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a wonderful experience in this hotel. It is beautiful, very welcoming (the owners are wonderful and really care about their guests), and super clean. The best choice in the Bojnice area by far. The breakfast was very nice, and the private and secured parking option (reasonably priced) inside the hotel gate was great to have. They also have a great wine cellar and their own brand of delicious wines. This little jewel of a hotel is a must if you are looking to stay in the area. It sits on a beautiful street with shops, cafes and restaurants and you can see the castle from the front door (very short walk). Highly recommend - great experience!

I have seldom been treated so deplorably, and all the more shocking given this was a family business that clearly had little concern for how they treated me or my family.
There were many problems and issues ranging from dirty sheets (photo attached) to very poor – if not factually incorrect – selling of the rooms by the hotel (photo attached of our booking confirmation claiming that all the hotel’s accommodation has AC. For the record, they don’t).
But the point to make here and to help other customers is simply to judge a hotel on how it responds to these problems and manages its customers.
For my issues they passed many problems off as ‘mis-understandings’; they tried to pass blame to us (for not cross-checking information THE HOTEL sent US with information on their website – apparently this was our responsibility); at one point, when I asked how their apartment could be sold as coming with a kitchen but had no fridge, I was told that of course there was one and my claim was unfounded. Made to feel like a fool, I checked the rooms again. There was no fridge. They then said it had been taken out two days ago… no apology was given. And, ultimately, this was the theme. There were no admissions of mistakes made, no real apologies for anything. All the focus is clearly on themselves. I can almost predict what the response to this post will be: i) I should be grateful that they let us leave a day early without charge; ii) that they offered us help to find alternate accommodation which I turned down... (Given I had explicitly asked for help and then spent the rest of the evening trying to find somewhere else to stay, this would be a strange thing to turn down).
The crowning moment came at check-out. The surly, elderly father of the family who runs this hotel said to his daughter at reception – in Slovak – that he could call the police to deal with me if she wanted. Given I was not threatening, paid in full for the night we had to stay there and was travelling with my young children, I thought this was a very classy move. Of course, he hadn’t expected me to understand what he had said. No apology given of course when I mentioned this.
While most of the reviews continue to be positive, nothing will change. But they would do well to remind themselves that customer satisfaction is their core business. And if you book, you should hope that there are no problems... or maybe take some money so you can bail yourself out from prison if you are brave enough to point them out.

Dear WorldStory, I remember you as a guest very well... We offered you a possibity to leave the same day you checked in and you were not satisfied with the accommodation. We even offered to find room for you in a different hotel. We offered a possibility to leave without paying cancellation fee but you decided to stay. Then, next morning you didn’t want to pay for your stay, a typical guest who is searching every possible lie in order not to pay the room. Regarding the “calling the police” everyone who reads this can imagine how you must have behaved, not letting go, threatening to ventilate yourself on the internet, which you did, so my father was worried about you being aggressive. That is normal, he was worried about safety. We are very happy not to see you again and hope not to have any more guests like you...because that in 10years of our existence we have never had such a problems with any guest, who first uses the room and than does not want to pay for it. Maybe the technique you use in order not to pay for your accommodation works in other hotels, but not in ours.

Wish we could have reviewed what looks like a lovely hotel. We were booked for months before to enjoy a special visit to the area, however the hotel chose to cancel our bookings as they had a bigger group who wanted our rooms. Good Customer service? You decide! Beware if you book here

Dear Girlingbudd, I apologize for the inconvenience. We notified the situation monthes ahead / it wasn´t last minute notification/ so you could arrange a suitable substitute for your booking. We even offered help finding new accommodation in this area. This is not a standard procedure in our hotel, exeptional circumstances occured, due to which we had to cancel various bookings. Any guest has the same right to cancel his/her booking even without notifying the reason to the hotel, we as a hotel have the same right and we did so mothes in advance. So again this is not a standard procedure and we appologize for the inconvenience. Kindest regards, Michal Lekyr - owner

Firstly we dealt with a lady whom i believe to be the wife of the owner.Pleasant to start off with and as soon as we put a deposit to reserve the rooms as we were intending on filling the whole hotel with our guests her manner changed. She was rude to my wife, she declined to speak to us passing us to a receptionist who didnt speak English and made everything complicated because the initial agreement was done between ourselves and her. Cancelled rooms for some of our guests and still wanted us to pay for the rooms they didnt occupy. Just to make matters worse we forgot nearly 400Euros in our room upon checking out. Went back hours later and the room had been cleaned money gone. A different receptionist just said to us there is nothing in the room yet she could clearly see the room had been cleaned. For the standard they try to uphold surely they would have known which cleaner was in our room but no one bothered to invastigate.
The only good thing about the hotel is the son of the owner who was nice and polite.
I will never stay there again.

We booked rooms months before to stay for a wedding and were assured everything was fine - but with less than eight weeks to go we were contacted to say the hotel was now 'closed' for the booked period and that we needed to cancel. No reason was given and no compensation offered. I presume they have had a better offer / wedding booking but it's an appallingly unprofessional way to behave, compounded by the terrible communication around the decision.

Our Family of Four stayed at the Vinny Dom Hotel a couple nights while we visited this area, while touring Slovakia. The front desk treated us to a welcoming glass of wine, immediately after we checked in. My son & daughter loved their room, with the beautiful flowers at the window, and the wi-fi. My wife and I loved our room with the perfect view of the castle. One of the days the front desk showed us the wine cellar. We couldn’t have chosen a better hotel nor had better rooms. We had the best views in town of the famous “fairy tale castle” of Bojnice. The rooms themselves reflected the feel of the old empires of Central Europe. Our two beds were in the Biedermeier style with large white comforters and several very plump bolster pillows — just what the former inhabitants of Bojnice castle might have had in their guest bedroom. Even the hallway corridor on the second floor was charming — lined with large windows that look out over the valley and a row of hills outside of town. Personal touches are everywhere. Breakfast is served in a large downstairs dining room and the cold buffet was outstanding, including the fresh-made pastries. Our hostess personally made excellent coffee to order for us each morning along with delicious scrambled eggs. This is first class. We will stay here again on our next trip to this Beautiful Country. Highly Recommended!

Hi!
I am from Slovakia, and I had organized my wedding party in this hotel! I had a pleasant feeling after first time I saw owner of this hotel. She was kind and helpful, everything seems to be so easy. Things started to change at my wedding day. Owner had all the time irritated look on her face, and lt looks like we are bothering there. It was mixed-culture wedding (spanish and slovak) so there were different customs. Spanish guest had prepared games for us and there was one moment during a dinner that owner stop the music and canceled music coming with the game, all our spanish guests get disappointed by this.
We had agreed about wedding menu week ago, and she forgot about bread in every table, and she changed type of potatoes in the menu that we choosed! It was imposible to get jug of water there, because they wanted to get every euro for bottled water! My guests were coming to me asking what is going on here?!?! Another problem comes next day when we saw how many bottles of wine they count for us to pay. It comes more than one bottle for person and we knew is definitely not true! So we protested and owner said: "ok! I dont depend on 3 or 4 bottles more or less" and count 7 bottles less. We think, that if he will be so sure about amount of bottles he will never change this that fast.
Rooms are furnished with historical furniture which make sound every time you move, but this is more about taste than a mistake. We had lack of toilet paper, and there were no space where to put our luggage. One day we had problem with the hot water. Towels and bathrobe were rough, it didnt feel nice to put it on.
Some positive stuff, I would say that food was great and receptionist named PETRA make a very good job with her Spanish language skills and kindness!!!
The most important thing is we felt in many moments that owners want us to run out of money.
I dont recommend this hotel for organize bigger party such as wedding party.

Dear guests, we have to react, since a large part of this information is not true and for the people who have not visited us yet it could have a harming effect on our name. It's not possible to go through every detail here, let us briefly answer at least the heaviest accusations. We are a small boutique hotel furnished with original antique furniture and each photograph we have on our website is realistic, our rooms look like on the photos and everyone can check that personally. We are a family business; we try to create home like atmosphere - clean, warm and welcoming. These three aspects actually sell our hotel and these are we believe aspects that we are strong at. If someone wants to give us 2 points for cleanness we have to protest. In this case we changed bedding in the room every day and cleaned the room. They had fresh flowers, bottle of wine and chocolates at our expense in the room, just to make them feel comfortable. Especially for their wedding we decorated the hotel with Spanish flags and a welcome banner written in Spanish, since majority of the guests were from Spain. Wedding menu consisting of appetizer, soup and main course was served as it was agreed on earlier during the preparation process of the wedding. We always invite our guests to taste the wedding menu at our expense, and this happened here too. The menu was served exactly as it was agreed on. After the soup our waiters began to serve the main course, the kitchen was running at 100% to give hot meal on hot plates to everyone, guests decided to start dancing. We kindly informed the guests we are in the middle of serving the menu and we kindly asked them to wait after we serve the meal after which the dancing would continue. We -as owners - were present at the hotel from the early morning until the next day to make sure everything goes as it was agreed on earlier. The wedding was off schedule, and things were running late, bride and groom kept changing the program and we had to adjust to new situations throughout the entire evening. They were served by Spanish and English speaking staff and during the wedding we have not heard any complaints about the wedding itself. After this wedding our restaurant was in a bad shape, it had taken some damage. A lot of wine was consumed, which at the end the guests didn't want to pay for and therefore they are writing these reviews full of lies. A few more words about the drinks. Guests were allowed to bring their own hard alcohol free of charge! Water was present at the bar, where everyone could serve themselves and drink as much water as needed. At the tables we were serving water in standard water bottles. At weddings we serve wine from our own production. The owners of the hotel - Michal Lekýr and Alzbeta Lekýrová and entire staff pressent at this wedding.

Rooms are lovely and we had a nice view of the Castle. However, the staff seem very untrained and unsure of themselves. If you speak Slovak/ Czech you're probably OK, but they are NOT prepared to deal with English speaking clients. It took over a half hour to get a remote to turn on the A/C. There was no luggage rack; bags had to be opened on the floor. Reviews said the Hotel was romantic, but how can you be romantic on a king size bed with a wooden board down the middle and a thin, crappy mattress. The Restaurant is supposed to have a good chef, but when we asked about dinner they said he was busy with a catered lunch. We asked to have dinner at 6:30, but they said that was too early. We compromised on 7. They put us in a private dining room. The woman who waited on us was the only one who spoke good English. She was very nice. We could NOT choose from the menu. She told us what choices were left; only 2 in each category. The food was OK, but not gourmet by any standards. The "house wine" was acidic and immature. We also had to give an exact time for breakfast. Breakfast was limited and there were no hot things set out. The young woman in charge made only fried eggs with ham.
