King Hotel is located near ”the city centre”, which is... small. Our hotel room was a suite. The toilet seat was deattached from the floor, so the smell of sewer got in. There was no phone in the room, or no sauna available. Even though they are mentioned in the description. The fridge in the room was so loud, that it couldn’t been on during nights. Basic small fridge would be better. Restaurant wasn’t open on Saturday night, which was a huge loss. We stayed in King Hotel for three nights/four days, and during that time our room was not cleaned. The garbage bin should have been emptied and the towels should have been changed at least, well, once. The staff was ok. And the bed was comfortable. Toilets floor heating was a pleasant welcome.

Pluses: The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. There was a free parking place at the back of the house (not guarded). The man at the reception and in the restaurant spoke good English and was very nice and customer oriented. The food at the restaurant (dinner and small meals) was very good. At the breakfast table, the omelette and the sausages were tasty. And I liked their dark roast coffee. The surroundings were quiet. Minuses: There was no shower curtain. The mattress protector was 10-20 cm narrower than the mattress itself. The shower flow was low (enough for washing but not for long showers). The breakfast cost 5 euros and was quite modest but it was enough though (bread, porridge, omelette, sausages, corn flakes...). The sausage slices for the bread were so thick that I didn’t want to eat them. There was no juice available, only lemon water (I didn’t taste). One morning we ran out of coffee and had to go and ask for more. The next morning the coffee was served from a coffee pump pot which did not work too well. The lady who took care of the cleaning and I suppose also of the breakfast did not speak English.

Pros: - location is very good (close to Narva castle) - staff is polite and helpful Cons: - the room was relatively small, with some unpleasant smell - wifi didn't work - the breakfast was more than basic - no tea or coffee making facilities in the room - the beds are not really comfortable

Nice old building, with character. Also the restaurant is stylish. Our room was clean, warm and quit comfortable. Good points: *Location - close to the Russian border check point, Shopping Centre, Narva Castle, River Promenade etc. *People at the reception were polite and helpful. *Smoking corner for smokers at the restaurant - it's good if it's freezing or rainy outside. *Breakfast - nicely presented and tasty(omelette or fried eggs, corn flakes and a selection of ham, bacon, different cheese, fish(pickled lamprey - yummy!), cucumber, tomato, pickled gherkins. *Parking the car - there was a little fenced area with a security cam where the hotel manager let us park our car. Also there is a bigger car park as well. *Good wifi included in price. *Nice big bath towels in the bathroom. Could be better: *There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. *Breakfast - the food was good but the coffee was not hot enough. *The TV should have more channels - beside only Estonian channels also BBC News or CNN News (Cable TV). *Better explanation how to use the bath/jacuzzi - as it is a very old building(from 17th of century), there is no central heating or central hot water(individual electric heating and a 200 l water boiler in the bathroom). Bad points: *No bad points. All in all we had lovely time in Narva.

hotel king offers all you need. very basic but clean. the room on the lower level was rather small but ok for one night in narva. I think it is a good choice for narva! and also compared to other cities in Estonia. we paid eur 42 which is fair for what you get.
