Beautiful room, spacious. Friendly welcome, and we were allowed to use everything ourselves, such as the kitchen and the garden. Because we were on the road a lot, we ate a sandwich 'at home' in the evening. So we could use plates and cups, we could boil water for soup or something like that.

Our family had the pleasure of staying in this amazing guest house. We stayed in the family room which had a large double bed and two single beds with an en-suite. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

The guest facilities here are great. Firstly, we had excellent Wi-Fi. This may sound like a given but isn’t always that reliable in that part of the country, so this is a real plus. The guest house has a separate kitchenette and living room for guest use. For us traveling with kids it gave us extra space. In the evening we could take a few steps away from our sleeping kids and watch a movie in the living room or have a chat which was a lovely social extra. The kitchenette was a great addition too, especially with kids.

Noreen’s breakfast is still a talking point in our house. She is an exceptional cook and everything was delicious.

The area itself has plenty to do with kids. There are great playground, beaches and forests to explore. It’s also ideally located close to towns like Clonakilty and rosscarbery which also have plenty to offer.

Overall, this is a great choice for accommodation and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks for everything Joe and Noreen, we look forward to our return.

Our recent stay at Kilcatten Lodge was memorable – from the moment, we arrived. Warm welcome from Noreen, our hostess, and what a beautiful place – in every way! So well set up, beautiful rooms with modern, tasteful decor, every single thing we needed, and the freshly cooked, generous breakfasts were wonderful! We really enjoyed our chats with Noreen and Joe, and would recommend this place to everybody! Thanks for your hospitality – you can be very proud of what you have created!

Stayed here with a friend for a wedding we were attending in courtmac and it was the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Noreen and Joe, the owners, were extremely welcoming when we arrived and gave us tea and scones on arrival. The breakfast was great, fresh homemade bread with a fry and a lovely cup of tea. Garden was spectacular and from speaking to Noreen Joe puts a lot of effort into maintaining the garden. Would recommend the B&B to anyone, thanks Noreen and Joe

Very warm welcome - the room just wonderful ( spacious and nicely decorated ). Nice bathroom and large estate ! Breakfast : super delicious and the selection is very good. Dinner at Padjoes Bar - recommended by the hostess - was also a highlight ! For the further journey the host gave us still super good recommendations and also a historical review for the cities on our route. Very interesting and impressive. I learned how to pour a Guinness Draught ( can ) - thank you !

I was on a weekend fishing trip with my son, and decided to stay at Kilcatten Lodge. Glad we did, it’s an example to others on how a B&B should be. From the moment of booking I was able to chat with Noreen, as being anglers our comings and going’s can be anti social to suit local tides. This was not a problem. When we got there we were made most welcome, not only by the owners, but their friendly labs as well. Was able to chat with Noreen and Joe, ( when we were not dashing off to fish ), and found them both pleasant and engaging. Simple proof of the pudding is, would we go back, yes, without question.. Thank you for the nice stay.

The location is quiet, the room was beautyful, large and clean and the breakfast is enough and very good. Noreen was very kind and helpful. She gave us some recommendations for dinner and useful tips for our tour at following day. We would devenitely come back.
Thank you very much!

What a lovely little place this is, and how lucky we were to find it and stay for a couple of nights! What we needed was a base for exploring West Cork by car, and this was the perfect place, with the perfect hosts! Noreen and Joe have a lovely home and are so friendly and welcoming, it FEELS like home when you get there. Very clean, beautifully decorated, gorgeous garden and property PLUS plenty of free parking and a delicious breakfast. What more could any traveller ask? My friend and I agreed that of all the places we stayed during our Ireland travels, Kilcatten Lodge was a highlight, and one we both would love to return to! Thanks Noreen and Joe from Sue and Sue (Canada)

Lovely quiet B&B with very friendly and helpful hostess Noreen. Beautiful and carefully decorated rooms, fully equipped. Wonderful base for the Wild Atlantic Way. But you can also relax in the beautifully arranged garden. Thank you Noreen for your good care.
