I guess the best thing I can say about the Vecriga, is that it is a very good average hotel. Its very quaint outside. Its not even on a road, more like a cobblestoned 10' wide pavement ( so no traffic noise ). Inside there's lots of red brick, but no open fires that would have made a big difference....

The hotel is located in the old city of Riga, just perfect for sight seeing. However: wifi is slow and instable, I could hardly do mails ! And when I came to my room, food leftovers were still in the room. I reported this to reception, the food was removed, but no excuse offered. The room is basic, certainly not...

A disappointing experience. Immediately had to request another room because the first was filthy. The next was okay, however much too hot; turning the knob on the radiator accomplished nothing. So had to keep the window open. Was awakened at 4 a.m. by the hotel garbage cans being wheeled out, this sound was loud enough to have penetrated even closed...

The hotel looks nice from the outside. Inside not very nice. You can hear every sound in the hotel. Special in the rooms. Breakfast was not very good. Could feel it was an old hotel. We change to another hotel, Wellton group. That was a fantastic nice spa hotel.

THERE IS NO HOT WATER in the morning in this hotel. At first when I arrived, I thought "Ok, shabby, but not that bad, I can do for one night". But when you are on a business trip and your morning is accurately timed, and the only thing you really need is get a shower, you run the water for...

The Hotel Vecriga is perfectly located in the heart of Old Town Riga. For those driving, there is a 24-hour parking lot (20 Euros a day, with attendant) a half-block away, but you have to navigate some very narrow streets to find it. Our smallish room was on the ground floor -- an advantage if you're hauling suitcases -- and...

+ The Hotel has a very good location in the Old Town, with walking distance to everything worth looking at. Nice and friendly staff. Beds were quite okay. Free Wi-Fi. - Just to be informed there is no elevator, and the stairs up are step and very narrow. Breakfast is modest. The room (35) had a simple interior. Overall: Expect...

Booked as an anniversary treat. Great location as most sights are within walking distance. However no heating and it was cold and damp. Had hairdryer on to warm myself up. Smoking area great but not cleaned all day. Empty bottles and overflowing ashtrays. Room service and restaraunt doesn't exist. Can't even get a cup of coffee in this place. Lots...

A really enjoyable stay--great staff As a lot of others have pointed out - the location is excellent. Walking distance to all old city attractions - in fact to most of the city centre. The staff was friendly - The room was great - good size with a high ceiling. The same applies for the bathroom. The hotel was nice...
