The hotel was very good, but the people who work in the reception and in the restaurant was no serviceminded. No smiling and they was very sad . One boy in the reception he was very borung. When you come they could say welcome but it was no one who talk or smile
Nice hotel in Old town Riga Very good location, close to restaurants and bars. Had room on the top floor with a nice view, value for the money. Great breakfast and the SPA/Sauna is perfect for rexaling in November.
We had a great stay in this hotel, with one big BUT. One of our key reasons for choosig the hotel was the availability of the Spa. The pool was so cold that most just dipped a toe in the water. Brave ones did one length and got out. The jacuzzi was just about warm enough to use. The steam room was off and when turned on did not warm up enough to wor correctly. The sauna was out of order. Very disappointing.
The Staff was unfriendly and not very helpful. Had to pay for the hotel twice and no one could explain why. The Mattress was very uncomfortable. There were some Hair from previous guest in the bathroom. Smell in the hallway. Location and breakfast were good
Stayed for three nights in November. Two problems, no dressing gowns and slippers in the room, sorted out by reception staff. The room was clean, breakfast was good, the Spa was good and the staff was great.
A bright modern hotel right in the heart of the Old Town. The breakfast was great and the play area for small children a nice touch. I especially liked the beautiful fish in the large tanks, a great place to sit and drink a coffee.
We had booked for 6 nights and wanted to be central, location was great, but it did come at the price of being pretty noisy at night. I usually love the buzz of city noise when I am on holiday, as I live in a rural location, but being woken by noisy drunks at 3am was not so great! Perhaps a room away from the Main Street would be better. The room itself was nice, twin beds for myself and my daughter, tea making facilities and plenty of space. Breakfast was good each morning, worth keeping an eye out for hot items being refreshed.
We liked the look of this hotel from the website and previous reviews on TA. We were given a corner room which looked exactly like the website pictures. Room is large with a minibar fridge. Bed is a bit hard and takes getting used to. It is a Superking size. Bizarrely though you have separate duvets. Never seen that before but actually not a bad idea. Tea/coffee making in room although the coffee sachets are a combined milk and coffee combo. Breakfast is your usual European affair, hotdog type sausages, fatty streaky bacon, eggs etc. plenty of cereals, cakes, croissants etc. Good coffee from the machine too. There is a swimming pool and spa but you have to pay extra to use it and not cheap. Around €15 per person per day. We didn’t bother with it so can’t say if it was good or not. All in this is a great hotel in a perfect location.…
This was our fourth visit to the Wellton Centrum. We love the location as its convenient to all sites and transport hubs. Booked for 6 nights and initially given a room more suited to a single occupant staying overnight, had absolutely no storage space. Requested a room change the next day, which was granted and this one had ample storage space. Room was within the internal triangle and suffered appalling sound proof issues which really spoilt any chance of relaxation, could hear everything from next door room. We also noticed that the breakfast did not have such an extensive spread as before and quality of food was average. Room staff were lovely and very kind. On the whole the reception were helpful, just a couple need reminding they work in the Hospitality industry. We used the spa five days out of the six and booking was easy. Overall a great break in Riga.…
Positives- Location is perfect Shopping center across the hotel Plenty to see around and walkable distance Dropping rating due to the following- Refrigerator in both the rooms didnt work Staff unfriendly Mattress wasnt very comfy Walls are thin and can hear other people in adjoining rooms €15 to use the pool area or Spa
