I visited in the august 2016 to the turiba hostel and i found that it is not upto the expectations. I found many things that were not satisfactory there . My visit was unpleasant because of the staff of turiba hostel. They are not ready to help and their behavior is arrogant. Also the toilets and bathroom were not cleaned... More

Clean rooms and facilities, free parking - what else do you need when travelling on budget? Hostel is a 10 minute train trip away from the city centre so there is no need to struggle with parking in city. As it is a university campus, there are a lot of young people, so some level of noise and disturbance may... More

The rooms are small, bathrooms are not clean and the place is very far from city center. But after all, Riga is a small city and you can take public transportation. Also the staff is very helpful. You can try if you are a student and but I do not really recommend otherwise.

The place looks better from outside than from inside but its still very good place to stay while in Riga. Nice campus, few blocks, in one of them you have the hostel. Very kind staff, helpful. The place is cheap and we were lucky to sleep in 2 person in a 4 person room as it was mid of the... More

The hostel, which is part of the Turiba University, is located a few kilometers from Riga. But Riga centre is easily reached by public transport . You can take the train (station is just behind the university), minivan or bus. The price is always 0,5 LAT and it will only take 10-15 minutes to get to Riga. So the location... More

The locations is ok but quite far from the city centre. There is a train station directly behind the hostel and the taxis/public transport are cheap as well. The rooms were dirty, and especially so the bathrooms. Quite a lot of mold in the showers. There were no freezers/fridges/kitchen utensils available in summer so we didn't do any cooking. Laundry... Turiba is by far the cheapest hostel in Riga, at least for double rooms. The double room we got was 13 LAT per night, which equals about 20 Euros for 2 people. Turiba hostel is part of the Turiba business school, so you live in the sleeping house of the students. this is not a problem, they are all very... More
