Our wishes were certainly not taken into consideration. I had asked for a room with a city view, which I understand it's not always possible, but we were given a room for disabled guests and with a connection door for no reason. We could hear our loud neighbour all night long, to the point it was awkward! I asked to change rooms but the receptionist said he didn't have any, which is a big lie because they still had the same category for sale on their website/booking platform. We were paying a much higher rate than people booking last-minute and still got the worst room allocation. It frustrated me a lot that he was not even trying to help. The breakfast was so average, that we didn't have it the second morning. Next time in Riga, we'll just look for another place.
Stayed in room 101, a very spacious and beautiful room facing a quiet yard. Comfy beds, good lights, working desk with a minibar fridge under. Safetybox. Mirror with led lights around it. Very nice shower room. Reception staff vere friendly. Because of restrictions we had to take the breakfast to the room. The breakfast was at More Beer just outside the hotel door. We were so happy with this nice and newly renovated hotel and had such a good stay in our room. Liked to be in the Old Town, close to everything. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others. Good price too!
I stayed at this hotel on a long weekend when visiting my native town after 2 years of Covid travel restrictions, I booked this hotel due to its central location and I had stayed there before. I have to say that it has changed, but not in the best way: the room I stayed in was a very tired looking single with basic facilities. The room and bathroom are spacious, but there is no attention to detail: the curtains were not fixed to the rail properly and partly hanging off, the furniture was a mixture of everything that one would pick up from the tip…. Unlike the Reception area which has had a fairly recent overhaul. The doors and walls had a few holes from old fixtures which could be easily covered with simple filler and that would straight away give it a decent look. There is nothing wrong with furniture and design being simple, but it could be a bit more thought over. The room also was not very clean: there was a lot of dust on the panel over the bed. With all the respect to Covid measures and limited access of the hotel staff to the rooms, it could be cleaned before I arrived. A very upsetting moment was when I arrived at the hotel in the middle of one of the days to find the door of my room widely open and nobody in attendance on the whole floor or any sign of a cleaner working …! I did report this to the Reception, but there was no reaction or “sorry” from the management. I am not sure that I will feel comfortable staying there again, unless positive changes are made.…
Very good location in the old town. The room and bed were pretty big. The price was also lower than on some other places with approximately the same standard. You can hear a lot of noise from the hallway, but that didn’t bother us. The breakfast included was pretty decent. I enjoyed it. Overall very happy with the stay
perfect deal for the price we paid. We stayed in an old building of this 7 buildings hotel, but that was because we wanted a separate bedroom. (travelling with male friend) Breakfast was good, never anything short. For sure i will go back there!
