Small hotel, perfectly located in Riga old town, only steps away from the Christmas market. You can literally walk to most of the sights, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants on the neighbouring streets. I had a deluxe room, which was really comfortable. Fantastic shower, good quality coffee machine, safe, complimentary bottled water and twice daily housekeeping. However, if you have mobility issues, make sure to ask when booking. There were some (7) steep steps in my room, separating the bathroom from the actual sleeping area, and I am sure this can be a cause of concern for some. There are also a couple of steps up from the street. I loved this hotel, and certainly this is where I will stay next time I return to Riga. The one thing I liked slightly less was the breakfast. There is a small continental display, but hot drinks and dishes are cooked to order. The food was fantastic and beautifully presented, but it is a rather formal affair and very different from what you usually see in hotels. If you, like me, like relaxed breakfasts with toast, cereal and endless cups of coffee, this may not be for you. Last but not least, my compliments to the fantastic staff. You were all great but housekeeping deserves a special thank you for keeping the rooms spotless and always greeting me with a smile.…
The hotel was in a great location in the Old Town and very quiet. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was large and comfortable and the breakfast one of the best I have had anywhere. I recommend the Egg Benedict.
We stayed here as a family. Had to rent two rooms as each room can only fit 2 people. The hotel is modern but has this feeling of being in a castle. Staff was friendly. You had to give them a key when you left the hotel. The room was clean, had everything in it. I especially liked the teas they offered. Beds were comfortable. There were steps in a room so not sure how this maybe for a mobility issues. Highly recommend. Breakfast is included as well and is very good.
This has to be one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited. I can recommend the turbot with asparagus and mushrooms. The decor is beautiful, the wine was lovely and the staff were above and beyond. This was a once in a lifetime meal, it was unforgettable for all the right reasons.
Excellent hotel in the old part of Riga. Super clean room, great bed and shower. Well filled minibar and good coffee present. Breakfast was everything you wish for. Only the coffee could be better. In the evening the breakfast room serves as restaurant. No need to go elsewhere! Wonderfull looking and super creative dishes. First time ever I had ants on my amuse, on purpose! Extremely nice staff. I will return for sure
Calm atmosphere in the hotel. Quiet and very comfortable room. Modern room with a cozy feeling. Everything you need in the room. Great breakfast Perfect location!! Best hotel I have stayed in! Recommend this and would definately come back
This is an excellent small hotel in a great location in the old town. The food is spectacularly good and the staff are charming and friendly. Where there were a couple of small gripes, they worked hard to fix them quickly. The staff know people in many good restaurants and gave great recommendations.
I have never before written a Tripadvisor review, but this hotel was so good, I want to spread the word. We have just returned from a wonderful few days in Riga where we experienced fantastic Latvian hospitality wherever we went and very reasonable prices. Whilst the old town is very interesting, the art nouveau area is sensational. We also had a day at the beach at a gorgeous pine clad resort called Jumala. The Dome hotel was though, the icing on the cake of the trip. This historic building is beautifully decorated with the loveliest interiors and finest quality fittings. Tucked away on a quiet side street it was peace perfect peace. The gorgeous beds and linens further ensured a wonderful night’s sleep. Breakfast was a delight to experience with lovely quality fayre . It was, however, the hotel staff that deserve the most special praise. From the reception team through to the restaurant and the lovely lady looking after the room, all the staff helped make this a very special stay for us. They deserve the highest praise for an exemplary standard of professional service that is so often lacking in hotels these days. Thanks to them all for making our trip so special. The Baltic area seems to be suffering economically a little with the current unstable situation. A city and hotel like this needs to succeed as they are so special. We wish them all the success in the world 💕…
Fantastic location and beautiful old building. Service was warm and friendly. The room 405 was a spacious two-storey room, with French balcony style windows opening on the roofs of Old Town Riga. Modern and clean bathroom with L’Occitane toiletries, which were much appreciated. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts in a long time. Special recommendation for the delicious croissants and fresh pressed juice.
Wonderful elegant little hotel in the old town just around the corner from the cathedral. Beautiful room, quiet, spotlessly clean, high quality wooden fittings, bathroom equally stylish, extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent. Very highly recommended in every way (if you are not looking for large common indoor or outdoor spaces)
