Three major things ruined our stay. 1) We booked our room a month in advance. We asked for a double bed, which we did not get. 2) We booked 2 relaxing massages via the online booking service. When we arrived at time to the massage appointments that we were looking forward to, the spa declined us, saying that they did not have any info that we had a booking. They even said that they do not offer "relaxing massages" (even though it is still possible to book those online). We did not even receive a proper and sincere apology or a refund and left feeling like we were at fault. 3) During high-season the hotel is very busy and noisy. Especially when there are hundreds of young athletes running around. Also, there was a table football right next to our hotel room. On one night, at 4 am, a group of drunk Russians started playing there, which was very disturbing. We gave direct feedback to the hotel as well, which was not responded to. Pros: OK breakfast, great location, nice view if facing the river…
Very bad room, air conditionier does not work, temperature in the room was +30, my mom was sleeping on the ground near window to get some sleep! Children does not sleep well, everyone was suffering, we put all windows open all night to get some air + get all noises from street! terrible! luckly we book only one night! never go back to this hotel
The hotel rooms are ok and clean, but the entrance/lobby looks like a cheap bar. Breakfast is not great - coffee tastes terrible and the juice they offer is not real juice, it tastes super-artificial. Not to mention theres nothing at all to eat for vegans (ok, yes, theres cucumber).
The big plus of this hotel is the location: just in the very centre, neighbouring three shopping malls and almost the same wall of coach station. Minus is here too: if you get room with a view to buses, there's nothing inspiring except sound of motors in the morning. But the biggest minus is here - if you close the small window (what gives you a bit of fresh air), it is hot in the room: air conditioner doesn't work properly, just blow, and nobody could help me to lower the temperature which was 24-25 in the room in September. So you can spend sleepless nights. As it appeared - it was not one room, but all the hotels problem. Rooms are modest and good, with flat TV, though without any fridge or tea-pot. But the staff is ok, hotel is clean, breakfast is really good - and do try perfect cakes!…
Great location, nice and cozy rooms. Quite big room, actually. Previously I've stayed in Hotel Pallas, Tartu which I consider as a good one. However the rooms in Dorpat are much bigger. Breakfast is rather scarce. No highlights, except the bread. Bread was delicious! And plenty of fruits. Besides nothing special. Overall great experience. Next stay in Tartu will be in Hotel Dorpat!
Very nice place. Everything was clean and we got a good night sleep in the family-room. Aircondition was not cooling too much but it was acceptable. Location is perfect - walking distance from everywhere. Breakfast variety was good enough and the food was tasty
Perfect simple hotel in the center of Tartu. Very good location near the bus station. Since I had a rental car, I particulary loved the possibility of free parking at the Tasku parking house. The rooms are simple but clean, there is everything you would expect from a 3 star hotel. I was staying here for 5 days and I did not have problems of any kind. The only thing - in the middle of the Covid-19 outbreak in Estonia and the general rule about wearing masks inside public structures it was strange to notice that some of the reception staff did not wear a mask!
Dorpat is my favorite! The best location. Nice and flexible service! I trust Dorpat! Catering quality is good. Hotel services are appropriate for business, vacation, studies, sport, spa clients all year around! Swimming option in Aura Center is very pleasent surprise!
Professional staff that went above and beyond to make our stay as wonderful as possible. Family friendly. Very clean. Comfortable rooms, although somewhat lacking in character. Location is absolutely perfect and the view of the river was the cherry on top of an already great experience!
Clean rooms, everything works as it should, good free TV channel list. Good quality breakfast buffet; staff is unobtrusive, but helpful, and is just there when you need them. Above average within the 3-star hotel range. Minor gripe is double room had connecting doors, which didn't always stay closed, and which are impossible to lock. Somewhat flimsy sound insulation, but seemed to be within acceptable range.
