Dorbat is a new hotel in the center of Tartu. The environment is quite hectic and there was a bit of a vague group behind the house. However, they did not disturb the stay. The room was ok. The breakfast room was quite cramped as the hotel was apparently full, some ate in the lobby. Coffee machines have taken over Estonian hotels and caused queues in all hotels.

I enjoyed my stay with Dorpat Hotel very much. I stayed in one of their Deluxe rooms on the 6th floor with the access to the Business lounge. The room was modern, recently renovated and very spacious- in addition to bedroom I had a living room area, a large hallway and a very large bathroom with two sinks, shower and a bathtub. The room also had a nice view overlooking the river Emajõgi. Since I was travelling for business, the business lounge was really convenient and quiet place to work and run online meetings. It also had unlimited soft drinks, water, coffee and refreshments available. The location was super convenient, located in the heart of the city, next to the bus station and shopping center Tasku. A great base for business trip! I will definitely stay again and next time I will also take time to explore their spa area and get pampered :)

Pretty good hotel, though possibly a bit spartan for the price I paid. Great riverside location within a 15-minute walk to the historical heart of Tartu. The front desk and morning buffet workers responded promptly when I raised issues. The breakfast offered a good selection. The only poor service was from the room cleaner, who did not actually clean anything - just changed the bathroom mat and made the bed (I guess to make it look like cleaning had happened - perhaps a throwback to a service tradition from a previous era?).

Vary basic hotel in good location. No minibar in the room and breakfast cannot offer fresh eggs. The hiding manager of the restaurant justified the poor service with the parallel catering work that needed personal. That makes a client really feel as the least priority... Coffee is also critically undrinkable.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was nice and solid, offering a comfortable and clean environment. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. The superior rooms are very comfortable and clean. Large bathroom and good beds. No disturbance from street or hallway.

Check in - easy, did it online except for payment, so at the registration desk we only needed to pay for reservation and parking, and collect door cards. Parking by the hotel is very small, no free spaces were left and not very easy to turn around at the end of parking lot. But you can park ir Tasku centre parking and it has a path to the hotel. Family room is two interconnected rooms, very comfortable. Kids loved the curtains above their beds. Room was warm and located just next to kids playroom and table football. Only thing that was disturbing - it was raining during the night and the drops on the roof or the windowsills were terribly loud :D Nice breakfast, very tasty and a large variety to choose from. Pancakes were perfect!

I had been there before when placed in it for business purposes and thought it would be good convenient to stay there again when away for non-business. It is well located, not all that expensive and the rooms are quite serviceable. It was at a busy time and the lifts were very busy so tiresome getting up and down from rooms. The bar is not often occupied by staff. There is a sign saying to ask the reception but when there is non-stop checkin going on that is not convenient. A queue had built up and we just left. Why not get a remote controlled bell? And I think this is a bit of the thing in general, sort of a lackadaisical attitude to running the place. At breakfast there were plenty of staff hovering round but still the scrambled egg was empty. Probably easier to ignore the issues.

Hi, yes there is a gym called My Fitness (a gym chain) situated about 600 m from the hotel. the address is Küüni 7 and it is on the same side of the river as the hotel.
There are more places to choose from in the Tartu area.
