The Aleksandri Hotel is located in the centre of Tartu, close to the Emajogi River and just a short walk from the old town and the shopping centres.
Built in 1880 and turned into a hotel in 2002, the Aleksandri offers free wireless internet access and free use of internet-connected computers in the lobby. There are free guarded parking spaces.
The hotel features an a la carte restaurant, a beauty and health centre with infrared saunas and a solarium, and a room for people with allergies. Guests can enjoy live music in the hotel pub.
Good locations for the price, not far from the center. Room didn’t have a air conditioning, so it was hot! There was a fan, but it didn’t help at all. Breakfast was quite expensive and bad. The bed was hard, and the hotel felt a little bit dirty. A lot of parking spaces for the guest tho.
A short night`s stay due to work, where it was important to be quiet about computer work and comfortable for a good sleep. And so it was. Plus good breakfast, nothing special, but a decent food for the start of the day. Clean rooms, nice staff.
Very clean, comfortable beds, lovely staff. Long walk to centre & only 1 restaurant nearby. No lift so made being on the furthest room from entrance/ reception with heavy suitcases hard work! Bathroom needs improbing. We did enjoy our stay
The hotel is located quite well, at about 1 kilometer from the city center and AHHA. The room was quite big, clean and cozy, the service OK and kind staff. On the negative side, they provided only 30 ml of shower gel for 2 persons / 3 days and there was a funny smell coming from the bathroom. Also, every morning (except on Saturday) there was a lot of noise.
Originally thinking we would be taking two single rooms, we were pleased to find that this hotel has apartments. Plain, clean, well-equipped and comfortable, we had a sitting room, two bedrooms and a separate toilet, a large fridge, three TVs and a microwave. There were plates etc, cutlery and a kettle. All at a reasonable price. We had a medical problem during our stay. The hotel receptionist went out of her way to help, making phone calls and translating where needful.
The room was clean and cozy, also quite big. Service was okay. The room and also corridors were extreamly hot. Luckily we had a cold air fan in our room. It was enough for us. The selection of tv programs was very poor.
We had a room on top floor which was very hot and only velux window. Was ok for one night as there was a school party staying and they thought it would be quieter for us which it was. Breakfast was a bit of a scrum due to the school kids but choice was good. Room was clean and comfortable.
Best in this hotel is location.10 min walking distance to center and spaas and theatre.Breakfast was normal.Next to hotel is party place and it's pretty noisy at the weekend.Room was very tiny but bed was comfortable.
Nice hotel, not far from the city center and AHHA. Clean, nice bed sheets. Near is a restaurant. Easy to find. Not very quiet in the evenings, but after long walks in the city it doesnt matter :))) Kind personal.
Not in city center, but it is 10-15min walking distance from it. Nice and friendly staff. Clean rooms. Room was actually quite big (if compared to other that kind of rooms). Bathroom was small. There wasn't shower gel or shampoo, only hand soap. There isn't mini bar in the room. Also wifi didn't work in our room. Walls are pretty thin so you can hear if somebody is loud (you can't hear everything people are doing,it is not that thin, just some noises sometimes). Breakfest not included, but you can pay for breakfest. We didn't do that, because it costed 7 eur for a person. Good place to stay.
