Great hotel on centre of town. Room clean and spacious. Staff friendly very helpful. Good breakfast highly recommend. Best location at a bargain price. Very pleased with our stay hope to return again.
It has become common knowledge that the only good think about this hotel is the location. Don't be fooled because you will get a room at the back of the building overlooking the parking lot. Only pricey suites face the nice square. What shocked us however was the way we were greeted. We had to wait 15 minutes at reception then a grumpy old woman (the owner?) and a man showed up. She was so rude and aggressive, I don't know where to start. It ruined our stay. Seriously, look for another hotel, you deserve better!
The reason behind this rating ? First of all, you are, if I can say, welcomed by a old angry couple with absolutely no sense of customer management. It is a kind of take it or leave it decision that you to make in few minutes. Secondly, the room. The size is fairly acceptable, no comment on that. The bedding is very tired, you literally sink in the bed, pillows are old, filled with foam and I wonder how long they haven’t been cleaned. The carpet is smelly and the furniture date from the 90’s. Thirdly, the bathroom. Everything is just basic. Shower screen ? No, a simple plastic curtain. Towels, yet, but thick as cigarette paper. My two positive points, hence my rating, are the location, right in the middle of the city center, and the free car park. Charging 89 € in that part of Europe for such a poor service and low room standards is more a robbery than a nice cosy place where to stay in Tartu.... …
cosy affordable hotel in excellent location, free inner yard parking and great breakfast. hosted by nice couple for long time. hopefully soon again. hotel is in many levels, not suited for totally disabled, but equipped with elevator
I’ve stayed in different hotels in Tartu and nowhere have I experienced such lack of professionalism. Location may be great, but it doesn’t outweigh the appalling customer service at reception. Ended up not staying in there.
