We were quite satisfied with our stay here. The best thing about it is its location. It is on the main pedestrian street close to the Town Hall Square. Many sights such as St. John's Church, Tartu University, the University Botanical Gardens are very close also as are many restaurants and bars.
The modern lobby looks good with a pool and lots of (probably artificial but very aesthetic anyway) vegetation and comfortable seating. I had no trouble with the WiFi - it worked well.
The room was fine with a comfortable bed and an enclosed shower cubicle (no water gets on the bathroom floor outside of it.
The breakfast is excellent except that the mushrooms and the cooked vegetables were terribly salty (both days so it wasn't an accident).
There is a great dense seeded dark bread, croissants, good porridge with a nice selection of add ins, kefir, oat milk, 3 types of fish, oranges, grapes and kiwis, fruit salad, even prosecco and two flavors of ice cream.
We had dinner there once and the food was also good. The focaccia that they give you (I don't think there was a charge for it) was probably the best I've ever had (though if you don't like garlic you're not going to be happy).

Soho is a modern hotel in historic downtown, on the main street with many restaurants, bars, pubs and cafes. On the ground level of the hotel is a new and very good Mexican restaurant. Very attentive and friendly staff, nicely designed and freshly painted public areas and rooms with comfortable beds made our stay simple and pleasant.

No doubt the location of the hotel cannot be beat on the main pedestrian only road. I echo everyone’s praise for the fantastic buffet breakfast served in the basement. The rooms are large and the walls stark, few pictures. The corridors looked gloomy. The staff at the front desk are very helpful. The lobby has a small water pool and the restaurant spills out of the building on to the street for al fresco building. Every place is within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel called a taxi for us to take us to the train station. Note that many of the tourist maps refer to the hotel as London Hotel, presumably its name before it changed hands.

Our stay at SOHO was amazing. The personnel was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast selection was was wide, that including ice cream and waffles. What was a home run was us was that SOHO allows you to take your dog with you.

Let's start with the best parts: location is the best and the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, every morning! They even had bottle of sparkling wine there, even though we did not try it.
The reception was friendly and the lobby was nice for hanging out if needed. Rooms were just the right size for the price, shower was good. There was some noice from the neighbourhood bars, but nothing ear plugs can't handle (you are staying right in the middle of the city, mind you).
Rooms did get bit hot during the night but we could open the windows, don't know how it will be during summer.

Excellent location and friendly staff. Loved my rooftop room. Only thing I was missing was vegan option at breakfast. At least there was oat milk.
There was ear plugs on the bed side table, that was a very nice touch. Needed them on the May night due to the celebration out side.

The hotel is ideally located right in the middle of the pedestrian zone. A small parking lot (with barrier) in the street that leads to the hotel.
The interior of the room area seems relatively dark, as do the rooms.
The furniture and color scheme is unusual, and sometimes impractical: e.g. the switch for the lighting is in the middle of the headboard of the bed. Beds are very soft and springy. The bathroom is large, but the floor-level shower means that parts of the bathroom are submerged and the shower has some obvious mold stains - so far only "satisfactory" at best.
What actually saves the 4th point and makes the hotel more recommendable (also in terms of price/performance ratio) is the very good breakfast in the modernly designed basement and the very attentive staff there. There is hardly anything left to be desired, even a prosecco or ice cream (!?) is available.

Great location and breakfast. In the room, whose windows open onto the street, the noise of the nightlife disturbs quite a bit. We did not like that because we were traveling with a ten-year-old child, we should have booked two rooms.

The hotel is basic, everything you need was found and a good breakfast. I can recommend.
On the other hand, I can't recommend the hotel's restaurant El Chapo, the food was avoidable and the restaurant staff was rude and you didn't get service from them. only paying was interested - nothing else. Go eat elsewhere There are many good places to eat in Tartu

Really nice staff and great location, but at 140 euros per night it's just not worth it. My room (no. 211, should the manager be reading this) is in need of a thorough cleaning. The wall is stained as if a Formula One victory ceremony was held there and champagne sprayed everywhere. The bathroom has mold between the tiles and the bathroom door trim looks as if they were feasted on by a beaver. The breakfast is unimpressive and about what you'd expect from a roadside motel in the US. The bed is comfortable but the rest of the furniture and fixtures are cheap. In short: Despite how nice things look on Soho's website, if room 211 is representative then it's just not worth the money they're asking. If you can get this room for 70 euros, then go for it!
