First, we had a little trouble finding the hotel when we arrived. From the bus station, Google maps takes you to a spot inside the big mall nearby, but that was actually closer to the spa area. You actually just want to walk one block south from the bus station down Soola and the hotel entrance is at the intersection with Aleksandri. It's under five minutes from the bus station and really well located to get to a variety of places.
The hotel itself was nicer than I realized. The room was spacious and well-appointed and certainly on the higher end of the quality range. We enjoyed having a fully-enclosed shower, though there was a gap between the door and the glass pane it meets but it didn't let too much water through. They offer alternative pillow options and I had not realized at booking that breakfast is included at the hotel restaurant Joyce. The breakfast buffet was large and varied and was a really nice touch. We also enjoyed use of the main spa area with its four saunas, multiple jacuzzis, and pool. Front desk staff were really friendly, as was the massage therapist who did my foot massage. The rest of the spa staff was more stiff, but that's kind of the way for a lot of people in the Baltics and Eastern Europe.
The main down side to the experience was that the shower temperature didn't stay consistent. It would randomly get really hot or really cold for a couple of seconds several times over the course of a single shower. Otherwise, we had a great stay and would recommend V Spa to anyone.

Service was good. Problems solved quickly. Very nice spa. Wellness is a bit costly but service is good. Also breakfast was excellent with a lot of possibilities. Restaurant has a brilliant service but waiting time between courses was too long. We were 2 men in a room but all rooms are prepared for man and woman and hotel has separated (different colours) for slippers and robes for men and women so it wasn’t that nice to call to reception and ask another one.

Our arriving to the V Spa hotel seemed surprisingly stressful. Hotel room seemed too small for staying comfortably with 2 school age children (8 and 14). When we arrived there was an undone bed for one of the children only which didn't leave very welcoming impression (especially after making a lot of effort finding a person to take care of our small dog) . Making enough space for extra bed was a struggle and the hotel worker was not aware how to open the extra bed. Pools and saunas seemed too over crowded and boring for school age children. The hotel and pools seemed rather more suitable for families with 1-2 preschoolers or parent-child dyads (not much privacy for the parents). However, the spa treatments and food at the restaurant were wonderful. Also the location at Tartu city center was very helpful and the hotel room bathroom was extra well equipped. However, next time when travelling with school children, I would prefer a spa hotel with more spacious family room and more activities for school age children like several other spa hotels have provided before.

SPA: The spa zone at this establishment was truly exceptional. It is especially suitable for families with young children, as there are three pools specifically designed for kids. The deepest children's pool had a depth of only 75 cm, ensuring safety and peace of mind. Additionally, the spa offers a wide range of sauna options, and I highly recommend trying them all. However, it's worth noting that you should bring your own flip-flops. I found this information on a flyer in my room, and while it may have been mentioned during the booking process, I believe it could be provided more prominently to ensure guests are aware.
Room: We stayed in the "Superior" room, which provided ample space for our needs. We were two adults and a 4-year-old child, and the inclusion of an unfoldable chair as an additional sleeping option for our child was a significant advantage.
Breakfast: The breakfast selection offered a multitude of options that catered to various tastes and preferences.

In June 2022 we stayed 2 nights in this hotel in the only non-allergic room they have (with wooden floor). The room is rather small and crowded with a good kingsize bed, a desk, a big chair (or is it a fold-out extra bed?) and a minibar. There is also a watercooker and coffeemachine. WiFi is very good The hotel has an excellent location (but is not easy to find!) close to many restaurants and next to a shopping mall with a supermarket. The staff is very friendly and the breakfastbuffet very good. Next to the hotel there is a parking garage On the negative side however there are 3 things which made our stay overall a disappointment; 1.most disturbing is the fact that the airconditioning is not able to get the room cooler than 23 degrees. On top of this the heating radiator in the bathroom is always warm and cannot be switched off. Also the windows cannot be opened so we had 2 warm and unpleasant sleepless nights. 2. The room is very noisy, every footstep in the room above our room could be heard. 3. The bathroom looks nice but is not functional at all. You can only take a shower after climbing in and while standing in the slippery bath. And it is absolutely not possible to take a shower without flooding the bathroom floor

Great location with no need to get outdoors at all but when leaving the Kvartal then parks are right across the street and old city and river promenade as well. Rich breakfast with options for all eaters and nice play place for children to stay busy while parents eat. Spa offered all sorts of options and types of sauna as well as many pools for both big and small. We went there during week day, so not too crowded and our early birds seem not trouble anyone. Staff was very friendly and ready to help whenever it was needed. Looking forward to go back to this exact place! Thank you:)

For hotel and spa guests, parking could be included in the price Parking at 25€/day increases the price quite a bit

We visited the spa with family for our children's birthday. The location was beautiful, and we were checked in on time. The staff was responsive, and the spa had a large variety of saunas. However, there were a few aspects that we didn't like:
1.Parking: There was no onsite parking available, and the nearby parking was expensive and inconvenient, especially if you plan to leave frequently. 2. Additional Fee for the Salt Zone: why there was an extra charge for access to the salt zone, when we already paid for the hotel with spa access?! It felt like an unnecessary expense. 3. Stay Dates: Our stay was from November 5th to November 7th. We knew that the spa would be closed on Monday, November 6th, but we were sure that we could peacefully enjoy the complex on Tuesday morning until 12:00. Even after verifying this with the hotel through email beforehand, we were required to pay an additional fee to use the spa facilities on Tuesday." 4. The hotel did not acknowledge the fact that it was our guests' birthday. For a 4 star hotel, I believe this is essential.
