The day we were supposed to check in, we called the hotel 10 times and no one answered. The staff didn't speak any English or Estonia. The hotel was like a labyrinth, the corridors were tiny and it was difficult to find our room. Floors and steps were covered in dirty and dusty carpets. The hotel room was crowded and dark. The first night we had three large moths in the room, even though we had the window closed all the time. The breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast I've seen. Small selection and everything had run out and no one filled up. When we asked for more food, no one did nothing. We had to change hotel the next day.
The staff were veeeery rude and we felt like they were annoyed by our appearance. No smile, no hello or good morning. The staff speaks only russian and dont understand anything you say. The breakfast was… well if there was any, any if you wanted to ask more the staff just looks at you weird.
Not a bad choice if you are about to stay in the very center of the old town for couple of nights in the end of August. It’s cozy, it had it’s own style and spirit. I loved the view from our window. When we arrived, the guy at the reception was quite polite and helpful. The room was clean and everything in the bathroom working pretty well - shower, hot water etc. Breakfast was a bit poor, but it had everything to fill your stomach before going to wander around the old town. Satisfied overall. I would not suggest to go there in the hottest summer days, since there are no AC in the rooms, but the end of August was perfect.
Not worth it. Staff was rude, facilities not working. Had to change hotel in middle of the trip since room was entered into without permission. Breakfast was a joke since it does not last the whole serving time.
Location is the best, 2 steps to main square Friday night stay was pretty loudy, people were walking down the stairways alot and it was all heard in the rooms. still max points for location, clean room, tasty breakfast and friendly staff. Unforgettable journey in narrow medeival hallways and steps, you can get lost in the building easily :)
