Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely loved this place. Well located on the edge of the Old Town. Nice old building. Standard room was very good with lovely bathroom. But the best thing was the staff. Very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them it seemed. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at Rixwell Collection Savoy Boutique Hotel in August. The hotel definitely looks like it should/could be a 4 star hotel. It may even be a 4 star for Tallinn but I'd choose another hotel next time. On the positive side it was clean, the room was large and the location was very good, easy to get to from the hotel via car or tram. On the negative side, I had requested and early check in after an international flight. Check in time was 2pm and I was asking for a 1-:130pm check in. I put in this request upon booking and didn't think asking for 30-60 mins before the check in time was something that couldn't be easily accommodated. No early check in and the room wasn't ready at check in either; not a good start. Outside of the early check in request, the next day I had asked a few questions and not only weren't they helpful with information they didn't even care to be nice. Overall the place looked very nice outside, the inside (rooms) where nice enough but I'd look for another place on my next visit.

This is a great place to stay. Very central location next to Old Town, but easily accessible by car or taxi. Nice, large and clean rooms in classic style. We enjoyed the roof top views of Tallinn from the top floor. Excellent breakfast, and nice bar as well. Also very child friendly. Would not hesitate to book again.

First up, location: the hotel is centrally located adjacent to Old Town, with everything in walking distance. The only walk that is a bit longer and less enjoyable is the one to/from the ferry (if you're transiting Helsinki/Tallinn, as we did). Second, ambience: loved the look and feel of this hotel (yes, the elevator is a smaller model of times gone by, which adds to the charm, but the stairs aren't overwhelming). Third, the service: we're always ingratiated to staff who speak entirely in English to ease the travel pain, but the staff at Savoy Boutique Hotel also had the "above and beyond" attitude that makes any stay incredibly enjoyable. From the front desk to the restaurant, the service was marked by class. In particular, the bar staff including Indraek (sp?) was to be commended for top-notch service. At one point we asked for a simple glass to put flowers in (from the local flower market), and when the bar staff realized the glass was intended for a bouquet, they went out of their way to find one of the hotel's crystal vases in which to place the flowers for our room. Note, the restaurant can get busy at breakfast time, so it's recommended to arrive early. Will certainly stay here next we're in Tallinn.

Great hotel in a great location. Really central and easy walking distance to everything. Slight problem with the room on arrival as paid extra for a spa bath and wasn’t given one, however I had a balcony and when I moved rooms (I asked to look first as the room I had was nice but they said no) asked me to bring my luggage down, it seemed a big downgrade so I asked to move back - reception didn’t seem very happy. & resulted in 3 trips up and down with luggage. Normally I would have just kept what I had but it was a special trip as was visiting my husband who I hadn’t seen for 6 months. That was only a small issue but once back into the original room it was great. Room 509 has a great view and I think the only room in the hotel with a balcony. Love the free champagne included with breakfast. Bar staff are great and really friendly. Staff let me in and to wait in reception over night when my flight was cancelled as the hotel was full. I would stay here again if I returned.

The hotel is ideally located bordering near Old Town. The bus and tram stops were about 5-10 minutes away. Although the hotel has a lift, it required climbing several steps which was a problem my packed suitcases. Since my room was on the third floor, it was faster to climb up and down the stairs than to use the lift. The bathtub was a problem. As it was raised above the floor, it must have been designed by and for hurdlers. If it was not for the foot stool, I would have injured myself getting in and out of the tub. The room was not designed for the modern traveler. Of the two free wall outlets, none were above a table. Only one of my charging cables was long enough to place my phone on the nightstand while being charged. The breakfast was a combination of hot and cold items. Although there were many items available daily, only twice did they offer fruit juices beyond apple and orange. My favorite item which I had every day was the berry cake.

Since the recent change of ownership, the standard of the hotel has clearly dropped, however, it is still a nice hotel. Friendly staff but not always on top of things. Our stay coincided with the change of ownership and new management, which meant that neither the restaurant nor the bar were open, to our great disappointment. The breakfast was mid-range but somewhat limited, albeit fresh. Lovely old building and marble bathrooms, but some wear and tear can be seen.

I absolutely love the hotel’s interior design, but after Covid the quality of the service has dropped! Not okay for one of the most expensive hotels in Tallinn. I paid extra for a really lovely room, but all kinds of small things were missing in the room (sloppy housekeeping) and the espresso machine wasnt functioning. Also, upon my arrival, the hardly English-speaking receptionist gave me somebody else’s room & charged me for that. When I left feedback with the hotel management aften my visit, I got no reply.

I loved my stay here. Check in was seamless, room was well equipped and really appreciated the complimentary water. Only reason I gave 4 stars was the bed was a bit harder (kind of like a new mattress feeling), which made sleeping not the best but I still got a good nights rest. A wonderful place for an Instagram photoshoot and so close to all the bars and adventures to be had in Old Town. It’s a 10 minute walk to the nearest gay bar.

Everything and everyone about this boutique hotel oozed quality. From our welcome to our leaving and everything in between, the rooms, the breakfasts, everything was done to make our stay perfect. The location was ideal for Tallinn, in the old town just around the corner from the Town Square. Cold days were rewarded with a cosy return to the Savoy.
