The Merchant House should be retitled to the heartbeat of Tallinn. It stands amongst the old streets as a beacon to the past and present of this medieval city, a few short steps to the main square there is no where better to stay. The rooms are excellent and the service provided by the hotel staff is second to none. Business, family or a romantic getaway this hotel is the perfect choice. It offers Saunas, massage, a coffee shop and a hearty breakfast to keep you going on your exploration all day in Tallinn. Of all the reviews I have done this is my top recommend

The hotel is a beautiful building, with historic imporatnce (note UNESCO aspect). The rooms are warm, cosy and quiet with lovely features and deep baths. The breakfast was excellent (we had a full fry up with the kids looked after with fresh pancakes and cereal). Jonathan is a great host and there is nothing he wont assist any travel with. I'll look forward to my next vist to this excellent hotel with my family, right in the heart of the Old Town.

Only steps away from the main square, super clean rooms. Comfy bed. Large bathroom. Wonderful courtyard with lots of seating, twinkle lights and blankets for those chilly evenings. Breakfast was included and you could custom make your own. Lots to choose from as much as you like. I personally loved the crispy sweet bacon and crepes. Yum!! Johnathon (the manager) and his staff were super helpful and attentive. Everything from tips on where to go, what to eat and even to sending our postcards. Thanks everyone! If you like to stay where you are treated warmly and like family, you've found it.

We stayed in this great place for a night. The hotel is located in the heart of the old town. The staff was simply amazing! Jay paid special attention to a small child who was traveling with us. The hotel itself was great and there’s nothing to complain about. There’s also a great little shop downstairs of the hotel. I recommend staying here if you want a short getaway in Tallinn!
