We stayed here for 3 nights . Good value for money . 24 hour reception ( but vary in helpfulness .) great place for ferry port , easy to find . 4 showers pretty clean . Room was comfortable and a good size . Beds were good - negative. Sometimes the room felt damp . - negatives . When someone had a shower the toilet floor would get wet also . No shoe policy meant wet socks or bare feet .

Friend and I stayed here on our trip to Tallinn. It was honestly a pretty terrible experience. You cannot wear shoes inside, which would be fine if the place was clean, but it was not. We were both picking hair from previous guests off of our blankets. My friend slept without hers because it was so filthy. The WiFi doesn’t work at all in the room. The bathroom situation is unfortunate. The shower and toilet are in the same room, which means that water is constantly all over the floor from people showering. Since you cannot wear shoes, half the time you go to use the restroom, your feet get wet. We also got locked out for a bit one night because the staff person left the desk and locked the hostel. Guests are not provided with keys to the front door. We were not given any information on when the staff person would return, but fortunately we weren’t locked out that long. The one good thing I will say about the place is that the location is excellent. Easy walk from most things you want to do in Tallinn.

Close to the bus station... also walking distance to old town. Spacious room with no bunk beds, a unique hostel thus... Simple common room ( a bit dark though) with a simple kitchen. 3 bathrooms on the ground floor could be very busy during rush hours ;-)

We went backpacking to Europe and Tallinn was our first stopover. And Old House Hostel turned out to be the ideal beginning to month-long trip. simple yet very aesthetically designed. The room was nicely done up for 4 of us with all basic things. even the kitchen had everything that one requires. Outside was so quiet that people back home asked if there is a curfew when they saw the pictures. Despite being so quiet and seemingly away from hustle bustle of market, the hostel is in the heart of Old Town and approximately a kilometer of walking to Town hall Square. The port area was also within walking distance. The only thing I didn't like was the shared washroom because bathing area is also inside so only 1 person could use it at a time despite provision for 3 people. Bit that's a minor issue... pluses are much more. A clean, hygienic hostel with all needful things in place strategically located is a big yes,

Staff were friendly and helpful, the location was great, the rooms were clean, the WiFi was good and the shower was hot. Sadly, we didn’t try the breakfast because there was so much on offer nearby. All in all, an enjoyable experience and I would return again.

Located very close to the ferry station, on the old part of the town, just a few blocks from the castles. I booked a private room with shared bathroom. Room was excellent, window leading to the street side. Coffe and tea free from charge on the kitchen/ dinning room, the recepcionists were very kind and the whole place was clean and cozy. For my next visit to Tallin, i will book again here for sure.

This Hostel is very nice, its location is very strategic where it is walking distance to everything the marine port (10 min) where you can get a boat to Helsinki in Finland, the city center where the supermarkets, and the shopping areas, and the old town and the town hall square /freedom square. At the old house hostel you feel the name it is a house with several rooms with a typical traditional old kitchen, where the basin is built in a wooden cupboard, also the style of the furniture is some areas like the living room area is old , the toilets (shared ) is nice and clean. I think it is a special experience, I like it. but I recommend for the guest to make sure that they stay in the main building not the other one, where I didn’t like it like the main building , the only thing I think they need to reconsider is the beds ( the mattresses is not fixed completely to the bed) - Breakfast Buffet for 5 Euro

🇬🇧I with my friends we slept for two nights in the hostel, the location is great but there are many things wrong, very dirty, very unprofessional, the guy who works the front desk with glasses was very little Professional, due to a bit of chatter after 22 has threatened several times to leave and never come back, when we pointed out that it would be illegal, he threatened us saying he had our cards you would do anything to steal our I know ldi, there was such a thing ever happened, SHAME 🇮🇹Io con i miei amici che abbiamo dormito per due notti in ostello, la posizione è ottima, ma ci sono tante cose sbagliate, molto sporco, molto poco professionale, il ragazzo che lavora alla reception con gli occhiali era molto poco professionale, a causa di un po' di chiacchiere dopo 22 ha minacciato sever al volte a lasciare e mai tornare indietro, quando abbiamo fatto fuori che sarebbe stato illegale, ha minacciato noi dicendo che ha avuto le nostre carte faresti qualsiasi cosa per rubare il nostro io so ldi, c'era una cosa del genere è mai accaduto, vergogna

We really enjoyed our stay at the OldHouse Hostel situated in the old town. It is a great location but also a cosy place with friendly people. If we return to Tallinn, no doubt, we will stay again at the OldHouse Hostel !

We looked forward to our stay in Tallinn as it was supposed to be a nice Ending to trip through the baltic countries. But this Place is just a disgrace. 1. In all my stays in hostels i ve Never Seen such unfriendly staff. 2. The showers were disgusting. 3. No cleaning at all: a rotten banana was laying on the table in the Common area for our entire 3 nights stay. I would not recommend this place to anybody.
