we would travel to Tallinn an booked this accommodation. It was all before corona crisis, when we knew we couldn't travel to Tallinn they were very kind and flexible to find a solution and change the reservation. But in the end we couldn't travel to Tallinn at all and we got our money back from expedia. I would like to hotel and wish them like many other hotels in the world luck in corona times...

This was my second time at this hotel and again , I left with a great smile on my face .

The location is super , close to everything but still quiet and peaceful . The rooms are big and nicely decorated and the bed is really comfy . An extra plus for all the small amenities , which nowadays are a rarity at hotels in this price range .

Reception staff was helpful and friendly . The only negative thing was, that the bread at the breakfast was a bit boring . Otherwise the breakfast selection was good .

Will definitely return !

The only good thing about this option was the location. I made my reservation based on relatively good reviews, but unfortunately, the reality was quite the opposite. You can't expect first-class cuisine and modern rooms from three stars, but you can allways strive for attitude and customer service. Unfortunately, also these factors were absent - I met indifference and wrong promises.
As I went for a business trip, then it was important for me to receive proof of expenditures. Unfortunately, I did not get them. Nor did I understand why customers have to pay for the services if it was not possible to issue the appropriate documentation in return !?

We have just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay in Tallinn. The Taanilinna is a cosy (20 room) hotel perfectly located in a quiet street in the Old Town. Full of character. Clean and bright rooms with very comfortable beds. Very helpful staff.

The medieval Old Town itself is delightfully unspoilt and is an ideal size for exploring on foot. Although small relative to other cities, there are so many hidden courtyards, alleyways and views that you miss first time round.

We found the local people (both Estonian and Russian) to be extemely welcoming and friendly. We highly recommend the Peppersack, the Contravento and the Grillhaus Daube Restaurants and were very impressed by the high quality of the food at very reasonable prices.

One of the best, if not the best, city breaks we have enjoyed.

The location is exellent if you want visit the old town in Tallinn. It is close to everything and also close to Viru shopping center. The hotel itself is small and cosy. The breakfast is very limited compared to the some other hotels in Tallinn, but the price is for a night is very competitive. We were upgraded to a larger room which was wide and cosy. Everything was very clean and we got a very peaceful sleep.

The hotel can be recommeded for a short trip in Tallinn and you can find a lot of good restaurants there around (O, Kaljas, Ribe etc.)

This is one of the friendliest hotels that my wife and I have ever stayed at. The staff was always helpful, accommodating, and cheerful. It was a fun place to stay.

Location was excellent just outside the walls of the old city, but only a 5 minute walk to the main square. Surprisingly this hotel was extremely quiet considering its proximity to the central area.

Rooms were clean & comfortable... Internet worked well... Breakfast was basic, but had everything we wanted... A hotel with "character".... Only positives regarding this hotel.

Beautiful hotel near the centre of Tallinn. Staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotless, cosy and comfortable and decorated in a traditional style. Breakfast was a good continental buffet with a reasonable choice. Would recommend to anyone visiting Tallinn.

This was our 5th visit to Tallinn and we have stayed in other hotels within a similar rating and price range including l'ermitage, Go Shnelli, Old Town Maestro, Meriton Old town Garden and Baltic imperial.
This hotel was most definitely our favourite. We loved the warm feel and decor of the hotel which is perfectly situated in a quiet part of the old town.
The staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They simply couldn't do enough to help. They gave us ideas on new places to visit and were all very friendly and welcoming (this is rare in Tallinn). The hotel clearly believes in good customer service and they have fallen on their feet with these lovely receptionists who gave us a smile and a greeting every time we passed reception. If you think these things make no difference to your trip try staying at the Baltic Imperial, a beautiful hotel with the rudest staff i've ever come across in Tallinn.
When staff have suggestions and can answer you're questions it makes a big difference to you;re stay.
We stayed in a superior room which is highly recommended, beautiful and spacious.
Breakfast as some have mentioned is basic by the standards of similar hotels. There was toast, cereals, yoghurt, fruits, ham, cheese tomatoes and hard boiled eggs which was fine for us but maybe not for people that like more variety.
The breakfast room was pretty and peaceful, there didn't seem to be the hustle and bustle you get in other hotels
We like to try different places and rarely go back to the same place twice. However I this is the only hotel in Tallinn I would return to as I think we've found the best value for money and the most lovely staff here. Big thumbs up from us :-)
