Family rooms are really nice, kids love the climbing wall. Room was big enough with nice view. Kids playroom was poor. Breakfast was really congested, only one place where to get juices and many fruits and breads were out.
I haven´t stayed in so small double room ever. Maybe originally single room? Breakfast arrangements were lousy, long queues, you had to wait for croissants, bread...you had to look for things, for example butter. You may thing it is something you need on your bread but this time it was impossible to find that is why it was placed on the WARM dish counter. The breakfast room maid tried to help but it took long time she understood what I was looking for, trying to do it in English and in Finnish.
Fantastic bed at superior room. Room clean, cosy and quiet. Lobby premises in floors lovely furnished and inviting. Absolutely relaxing experience and great breakfast with all possible alternatives! We will come again for sure!
Family rooms are large and with amazing view on port or downtown. For smokers there is a open space (at fire staircase) on the same floors - no need to go to ground level but no smell in the corridors.
Booked two nights in comfort class (used to be hotel Estoria, which we liked very much). The rooms are the same quality but no extras are available any more (i.e. bottle water, coffee and sweets). Air conditioning good, good beds and quiet room. The breakfast is very basic and the surroundings very dated. Some renovation work would be nice.
Close to the harbor and short walking distance to the old city. Probably we were lucky but got a great modern room with nice view over the city. Thank you! Breakfast was good but way too crowded. Same with check-in.
Room smelled badly of tobacco and the toilet was even worse. One night was enough in this smell for me and my friend. The comfort of the beds improved my rating of the hotel and our stay. Also ok good breakfast :)
My room had a window open when i came. There was no key or handle in the window to close it. I informed the reception when I left for the city. I was promised to fix it right away and close the window. When I came back after four hours, the window was still open. I looked for a floor cleaner in the hallway and got a handle on the window from him - I got it closed with it. I also gave immediate feedback to the reception. Otherwise the hotel was clean and quiet. The floors and surfaces of the room are already quite worn out. Breakfast is varied enough and there is enough space for diners. The hotel's birthday offer was free admission to the evening restaurant Cafe Amigo for hotel residents.
When we arrived at the hotel around 12.00 I was told that if I wanted my room right away, it would cost an extra € 15. If I don't want to pay extra, I'll get my room at 3pm This I think was a weird suggestion, usually if the room is available, get it right away, or at 3pm as mentioned in the contract. Now my room was 934, if I had paid € 15 extra, would it have been the same room, or what? Hopefully, this "surcharge" request won't happen again in the future. The rest of the visit was successful, we celebrated our birthdays (my wife 70 and Viru 50)
The room was fine, we were at seventh floor in business sweet. Air condition was a bit noisy. Personnel was very helpful and polite. It would have been nice to visit KGB museum, but it was closed on Wednesday.
