Cheap but not okay. We've chosen this hotel because of the price. Paid 95 euros for 2 nights without breakfast. Room is okay for the price we paid and the location is good near the old Town. Room is decorated very spare. No coffee or tea making facility's. Check in is at the next hotel the business hotel. One day we could not enter our room anymore. Keycard was not working. Quite a distance to other hotel to solve it. Room was not cleaned, no fresh towels. We complained, they said cleaning us on request, which isn't clear at all. They promised to bring fresh towels which never arrived unfortunately. Shower head was broken too. They just have to fix things quicker, and clean the rooms daily. I would not choose this place again.
For cleanliness, safety and location (the big 3 for me), I would rate this five stars. It really was super clean, it felt super safe, and it was only a few minutes walk from Terminal A for Eckero boats. These are big factors! The room was also very well equipped with a hairdryer, plenty of towels, two nice big pillows, and soaps etc. Nice also to have a writing desk, and a blind that blocks out sun! These are all huge positives, so great job! If the following was solved, it would be a five star place! I had difficulties with check-in. I did self check-in, and I was given a room with number. There were no signs to show which way to go. However, I did find my way eventually. When I got there, I couldn't open the door, as it turns out my key card had to be authorised by reception first. So I had to go all the way back down, and through to the main hotel reception (as the express one was closed). But I had two big suitcases, so this was problematic! If there was a note saying "those with a coronavirus pass to show, come to reception, it would be much easier. Finally, I was woken up by noisy doors - mainly from the housekeeper/s. This wasn't so much their fault, but the fault of the doors. However, I did sleep well all night until that time! If the doors could be "soft close", it would be much better :) Otherwise, really, it's a great place - and I would have rated it 4.5/5 or 9/10 (based on my overall experience) if TripAdvisor allowed it!…
My best choice👍. Clean and tidy. Hope next time towels will be changed every day 😉 Very good breakfast! Good location, clean bathroom. Self check in and check out. Super safety in COVID-19 times. Recommend.
Really bad hotel. My shower was broken when I arrived, called reception who said it would be fixed next morning. Nothing happend so I asked reception again and they promised it will be fixed. Of course that did not happend either. Third time I talked to the reception I was offered free entrance to the spa for the duration of my stay. This was a nice gesture even though the spa used to be included in the normal room rate. My room was not either cleaned in anyway during my three nights stay. No new towels provided even tough reception again promised so. To me it seems like the owners of this hotel doesn't care anymore. They only seem to provide service at the adjacent Tallink spa and conference hotel? Even though I don't expect four stars service from a three star hotel. The minimum I expect is that the rooms are cleaned! Considering the covid19 situation it worries me a lot that hygiene don't seem to matter at all in this hotel. Needless to say I will not stay here ever again and I advise you all to be very cautious when deciding to stay here.…
For purposes of spending at most a night, the Tallink Express Hotel is okay. Because my travel style calls for a bit more pizazz and upscale amenities, I wouldn’t stay here often—but for those on a budget and passing through, this property will suit your needs. Read on: - This place is actually a sister property to a more upscale hotel next door. I initially thought I was staying at the nicer one, but it turned out I booked the Express. Don’t get confused—ask the staff at the shared front desk if you want to switch properties, because they let you easily do that (for a higher rate, of course). Both hotels share common amenities like breakfast, Wifi, and parking. - The location is near the harbor, allowing great access to cruises, ferries, or other activities on the water. It’s also not far from Old Town. Not the greatest location perhaps, but not bad either. - Service is very kind, attentive, and accommodating. My check-in experience marked the beginning of my credit card troubles, and the night auditor was very patient and waited for my troubles to resolve as long as it took. He even offered to discreetly give me a discounted rate—bravo! Once I got enough money, I declined the discount for the sake of integrity, but the gesture was appreciated. Moreover, a luggage assistant helped me with my bags up to my room, and was very enthusiastic about his job. Thank you! - The room was basic. Small, cheap, and basic. Which, again, is perfectly fine for travelers seeking that type of thing. It’s not my go-to, but it is for some. For the night I was there, my needs were met. Everything was clean, which is what truly matters, and the room was surprisingly quiet from outside and adjoining rooms. I didn’t hear anything. Let me put it this way: it could’ve been much, much worse. And it was fine. - Renovations to the Express Hotel seem to be in progress in the lobby. To access all the rooms, one has to walk through a dark, dusty construction zone to reach the set of elevators. I can only hope that in due time, the work being done will enhance the Tallink Express’s lobby and beautifully complement the shared check-in area. Just want to notify readers of this in advance. To summarize, choose for yourself if the Tallink Express Hotel is right for you. If it’s not, then why not try the more mid-range hotel next door? Thanks for giving me a clean bed and a warm welcome to the city.…
They DO NOT CLEAN the rooms. never! Even during COVID PANDEMIC ! Never in the five days, I have been there, the moquette is really dirty with several organic stains all over the floor! So you have to always wear your socks or you will have the same issue (fungus after the third day). The hotel has no view of the city (I have paid and reserved for this): if you are lucky your room can be opposite the office building few meters away from the hotel with employees able to scout you anytime. There is no iron or ironing board in the room As described in the hotel features point (as a business traveler for me this is one of the reasons I have booked there..). There is no wardrobe or safe As described in the hotel features. To confirm my reservation, few days before the departure, I have received a free upgrade offered by the hotel, by email. When I arrived at the hotel they say that this offer was not real... Are you kidding me ??! '' We have to ask the IT manager... this is for sure an error..''. The walls are really thin so you can hear any noise made in the adjacent rooms.. Any!! Even guests farting overnight... Unfortunately, all those things have been visible only after making the check-in so I could not change the hotel...…
Ok for the price. Buffet breakfast, average ( included hots eg meatballs, sausages, omelet).A bit boring but again u get what u pay for. Also every morning the same...missed at least bacon. Room was very hot even though it was not hot outside. Not good to sleep in such a hot room Beds heaps too hard, caused back pain before morning. But again value for money.
Unfortunately In this case one gets what one pays for. The rooms are basic, location some what ok, but... You can hear absolutely everything from the room next door. The walls must be paper. The noice I could live with, but NOT with the very poor service In the reception. Unpleasant, slow and it looked like they really didn't know what they are supposed to do. To top all this, the girl In the reception kept sneezing and the wiping hernose with her fingers! Even if we weren't living with the threat of corona virus, this would still be unexeptable. Never again to this hotel.
Hotel is walking distance from Old Tallinn, Shoping mall and port. Breakfast could be better, beds are very very uncomfortable, recepcion could be better( when I asked about parking and posibility to park on the street, they did not gave a full information). If you have to spend a one night next to port, thats ok, but maybe look for hotels next dor 😉
The rooms are small and started clean. Because I stayed a week, I noticed that the carpet in the room was collecting small bits of things tracked in. It was not vacuumed at any point during my stay. A broken hairdryer took two days to fix during the winter cold weather which left me with wet hair before going outside for a business gathering. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet had plenty of selections. The front desk staff was helpful when I had questions.
