Really bad smell in the room. Poor breakfast. But in the booking was written rich healthy breakfast. It was very slippery stairs coming out from turkish sauna, nothing to hold on to and I fell badly and needed to call ambulance.
The new management at the hotel are not available in weekends. Reception was unable to call for taxi to airport. Room was noisy due to sound in water pipe. Shower in room deteriorated. Breakfast buffet was made to save money.
The rooms were clean and the hotel was beautiful. Unfortunately the customer services was probably one the worst I've ever had! The staff was pretty rude. The hotel is very far from the old town, so if you don't have a car this isn't the best option. And I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone anyway.
This hotel is ideał only for travellers who must find a transit acomodation. Breakfasts are - very poor buffet, hotel without the lift. Close to the hotel is small supermarket. Surraunding area is full of trees and small privet house.
This hotel is NOT worth spending money on. Very filthy, no air condition and NO ceiling fans as promised on hotels.com and that is VERY bad when it is 32 degrees outside, impossible to sleep. The breakfast was also very poor. Thin coffee, scrambled eggs like I have never seen before ( and I do travel a lot ). Dark mouldy carpets throughout most common areas of the hotel which gives a gloomy and old feeling. Our room was just cleaned when we arrived still it was hairs on the bed, dirty floor in bathroom, and extremely stained mattresses ( see pictures ) which made my wife sick with disgust. Never go here unless ALL other hotelrooms in Tallinn are booked, but even then sleeping in your car is a better choice. Stay away!!
When checking in, no information about Spa services, pool, breakfast, preooked dinner, was given. You had to ask about all those things yourself and even then the receptionist rolled her eyes as if we were a bother. Very soft and uncomfortable bed. We looked up the pool and steam sauna and OMG, terribly dirty - would never go in or use these facilities. Had a water leakage issue in the bathroom (the bathroom was full with water), called reception to report it and was said, yes, we´ll come soon. Had to call the second time as the water was already coming to the room area. Finally someone came and we were moved to another room. We had a booking for 2 nights, but this was enough and we cancelled the second night (prebooked treatments). When going to reception to inform about cancellation of treatment, the answer from receptionist was and I quote: 3 o´clock. Repeted myself and said I want to canel he said: To your right and straight - no knowledge or understanding of language, the estonian language. When we cancelled the entire booking online, not more than 7 min later, there was an employee at our door and stated, that we have to pack immediately and leave. Do not recommend to anyone! Very disappointed!…
Hotel miles away from Town centre. 15 Euro taxi ride one way. Emergency exit locked! Room stank of smoke, dirty plates in the drawers. Room safe fixed inside flimsy wooden wardrobe top self. Room not serviced every day. Staff not very helpful.
The hotel was very dated, grimy and smelly. The beds were extremely soft and "well used". The "spa facilities" highlighted and being included in the price turned out to be a tiny (10 m x 3 m) swimming pool with broken/unsafe steps and flakey tiles - the picture on the hotel's website is very deceiving, as well as a tiny steam room. All other spa facilities were chargeable. Breakfast was very basic with staff in the restaurant not very helpful.
I liked the design of the rooms and the hotel, it is very old fashioned! We ended up in a suite while we booked a normal room. We were surprised and happy with it. The breakfast was excellent and included. The only disadvantage was the bed, it was uncomfortable.
Although I am sure this is not the worse hotel I stayed in, this is definitely the worst in the last 10 years. CONS: The front desk staff-Irina-is incredibly unwilling to help, got in a spat with another hotel worker who was trying to help me and said he should not do it. Botton line, front desk staff Irina was horrible at customer service and "free wifi" as website boasts is untrue. I also had an issues with wifi -password given was not recognized by any of the networks they offered. I came downstairs for the 3rd time to tell Irina I am having issues. She said to go back to my room and try 2 other networks. I told her they do not show up, but when and checked to confirm that indeed, the networks she gave me either do not exist or do not reach my room. I came downstairs for 4th time. I told her those networks don't exits and for the others, the password provided is indicated as incorrect. She insisted it was correct. I asked her to come with me and check-she refused, saying she can't leave front desk (makes you wonder what she does when she has to pee).I asked her to try entering it herself to confirm and handed over my phone with screen for password open. She said she is absolutely not allowed to touch my phone. I asked her to watch my screen while I entered the password given. She did. The screen said incorrect password. She said a lot of people where using wifi that's why I can't logon. I said "incorrect" password is a different issue from limited connectivity due to too many people using it. She said it is my problem because they rebooted the router in the morning and didn't have any complaints. Overwhelming majority of guest in this motel are one-night guests and I guess I did not count as person having an issue. Oh Irina, you should not be in hospitality business or any business that requires you to have human contact or speak. Website also states that hotel is 10 minutes from center-this is also untrue. At absolute best, it is 20 minutes, but more like 25-30. Website also says: "The Ecoland is surrounded by greenery and situated in an ecologically friendly, residential area". In reality, it is located right next to a big grocery store and is surrounded by pretty big asphalted parking space on both sides. To be "surrounded"-you have to have all sides! Also, the hotel is at a pretty busy intersection that will keep you up if you keep the window open since there is no other ventilation in the room & it gets pretty stuffy even when outside temp is not hot. There are no male/female changing rooms at the pool. The hallway is cluttered with temporary beds and black full trash bags. The spa room looks like untidy, quite dirty utility closet. I would not let that mud touch me after seeing that room. The way the "spa" looks, the mud comes from the back of hotel grounds that people walk through to smoke. PROS The breakfast was not spectacular, but not terrible. Close to a bus stop to/from the actual City of Tallinn. Right next to grocery store. Cheap…
