What a little gem in the heart of Tallinn old town. This hotel is full of character and attentive staff. Breakfast was out of the world but can be slow during peak times. The only criticism I have is that the beds in the superior rooms are too small.
Clean. Luxurious. Friendly. Welcoming. A home away from home in the heart of a fairytale city. I've never felt so at home somewhere so 'posh!' We celebrated my mum's 'special' birthday in style at the Schlössle hotel and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful frontage, lovely courtyard view from our window reading seat (where I felt like Rapunzel!), exceptional restaurant and service to match. A perfect place to wind down, relax and recharge after a busy day ambling the streets of a city I could visit time and time again. This was my 4th time in Tallinn and by far the best. It was the first time my mum has said she wasn't ready to go home! Special thanks to Elan & Omar who went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember.
We spent 3 nights at this beautiful hotel. The location was perfect, right in Old Town, on a quiet street, yet only a short walk from most of the sites. There are cafes and small restaurants less than 5 minutes away, and the Town Square and other restaurants very close too. The staff is absolutely excellent, making us feel like valued guests. The reception staff were extremely welcoming, professional, friendly, and helpful. Our superior deluxe room, though sort of small, was tastefully decorated. The window seat was a perfect place to relax. The breakfast staff were great too and welcomed us every morning and took care of our requests. The buffet breakfast was very good and even included a menu with hot items to choose from. The only small thing missing was good black tea, as the tea leaves they had were a little too mild for our tastes. And a kettle (tea service) in the room would be much appreciated, though the reception staff got one for me right away when I asked for it. I highly recommend this hotel!…
My husband, mother and I stayed at this wonderful hotel for 5 nights . We were looked after so well by the staff. The hotel is very beautiful and comfortable. The location is perfect for walking to all the sights and bars and restaurants but very peaceful. We will definitely return .
We just love this hotel. Everything was perfect again. This was our third time here and we will come again! Staff in reception was exellent. Highly recommend this hotel! Location, rooms, breakfest, staff everything just five stars! Best hotel in Tallinn.
Beautiful boutique hotel in the old town of Tallinn. Very clean. Beautifully presented in old style but with all mod cons. Staff were very friendly & attentive. Breakfast was excellent too. Our room for this visit was entered via a beautiful picturesque court yard.
Fine hotel but lacking in some regards. I appreciate there is no lift, it's a beautiful old building, but I shouldn't have to carry a heavy suit case up stairs at a leading hotel. Breakfast is reasonably good, with a wonderful selection, however I do not expect the staff to start to clear away and set evening tables, when I'm enjoying my breakfast. There was a lot of noise, I would expect better. I got an omelette on two occasions, on the first morning, it was over cooked and dry, on the second morning, perfect. Got a cooked English and the eggs were burnt on the bottom and raw on the top. There are a few items on the cooked breakfast, that come with an additional charge. I was puzzled by this. The bar wasn't open/manned (??) in the evening, was a chore to get a drink, I'm on my holidays!! Very small bathroom, in bedroom, with everything but packed in, in a poor fashion. Would not suit anyone with mobility issues. On departure, I was left to carry my case to the taxi. I would have expected better. I choose this hotel, as one of the leading hotels in the world. I expected everything to be perfect and it wasn't. …
Check-in: An employee met my taxi at the front of the hotel, ushered me to the front desk, and carried my luggage inside. The process of admission was seamless; I was offered a welcoming drink while I waited. After a brief description of the hotel and its amenities, my luggage was brought upstairs and I was given a tour of my room. Overall very well done. (5/5) Rooms: I had a Superior Double room for the length of my stay. A little on the small side but more than adequate for a solo-traveller. It was aesthetically very pleasing with all of the amenities one would expect: luxury bath products, a minibar, excellent temperature control, in room safe, etc. More importantly for this reviewer, everything was functional and easy to use especially the lighting. Daily room service was impeccable, turn-down service was missed twice during my stay. (4/5) Service: The cornerstone of any hotel experience for this reviewer. Politeness was the word here from check-in to departure. Of note, there seemed to be a number of trainees present during my stay resulting in some minor language issues and slight aberrations in responsiveness but nothing overly deficient. My COVID test was organized quickly and efficiently (thanks Milly!) and a car transfer to-and-from the golf course was equally smooth. I actually got to know the people at the desk over my week there but never did they cross the boundaries of professionalism. I even had a nice breakfast put together the morning I left and enjoyed some historical conversation with the front desk while we waited for my driver. Overall thumbs up here. (4/5) Sauna: Oh yeah… In my mind the hotel’s signature amenity, and one that plays to the local clientele I’m sure. It’s essentially private for guests, although you do have to reserve in advance. I used this almost daily and the staff we’re very accommodating, making sure the area was spotless on arrival. Sublime. (6/5) Cost: My basic room was reasonable for a five-star establishment in any city at a little over 200 Euros a night. (4/5) Location: Superb. Cloistered on a side street but the Old Town is so small it’s within a few minutes walk to anywhere, and literally two minutes from Pikk Street and the Town Square. (5/5) Summary: A very solid overall experience with some minor but understandable flaws. With only 23 rooms, staying here is closer to visiting a private residence than a hotel and that atmosphere was priceless. To say the hospitality industry has been challenged during the past two years is a bit of an understatement; Hotel Schlossle clearly has risen to the occasion. I would unequivocally stay again if given the chance. (~4.5/5 —> rounding up to 5/5)…
I stayed at the Hotel Schlosse with my daughter after a long week of business travelling across different countries- and what a treat! The staff were incredibly lovely, and helped us get a last minute reservation at a very popular restaurant. The food in the hotel restauraunt, especially the breakfast, was great, and the location was ideal for exploring Old Town. We had a beautiful room (very comfortable beds!!) and even tried our hand at the sauna, which was an oasis after a long day of exploring the city. Definitely would recommend!
We found the hotel while walking in Tallinn, went in and where Charmed by the kindness of "Elar" the manger on duty. He showed us around , told us the history of this incredible hotel. The hotel is simply beautiful, Super Clean and entire staff kind that we met. Elar outdid himself with guests as they arrived back to the hotel We booked dinner May 13, 2022 & it was over the Top !!! Omar waited on us & could not have been better. The food was incredible!!!!! We have traveled the world & this dining experience makes our Top 10 List.
