Hektor Container Hotel is the only hotel in the heart of Telliskivi- the magnet of Tallinn. A classical hotel room in a glass skyscraper? Nope, we're nothing like that. Hektor vibes with the local community- the hotel is created into a tsarist era railway depot and our hotel rooms are re-purposed sea containers. No ship!

Hektor is a hotel built of sea containers inside a beautiful old building between Balti Jaam and Telliskivi creative center, next to 160degrees. The location could not be better, steps away from the best shops and restaurants, trains, busses and trams closeby. The hotel uses latest tech solutions and ecological materials. You can check in and out online, and once you’re in the building, you’ll get an email with a link to chat to front desk at the hotel. Very handy, much better than telephones no one uses anyway.
There are four exits from the hotel, so you can come from Telliskivi shops, drop off your bags, walk thru the building, and pop in Balti Jaam on the other side. Love love love the location!
The room concept is very minimalistic. You can watch television comfortably from the bed. The bathrooms is stylish and functional. There are two storage lockers under the bed, and hooks on the wall. Enough towels and four pillows. Comfy bed. Pleasant linnen. The large and handy guest kitchen has a fridge, freezer, ice maker, stowe, microwave, pots and pans, and all kinds of glasses and tableware.
The space in the container is limited. Because of this, I would recommend this hotel to solo travellers, or couples, or perhaps companies organising training sessions. The hotel has a large and functional, very private meeting space, and as the rooms are not very expensive, there is no need to share a room.
The staff ia very sweet, kind and welcoming.
What can I say? Hektor❤️❤️❤️

Sleepin in a sea container is an experience itself. The room is small but enough for two. Good space for luggage and gear below the bed. The room was quiet, temperature was easy to adjust and the quality of air was very pleasant. The bed was excellent. Only there was only one wide blanket for two, so it suits better for couples. I did not ask if another blanket would have been avalable. The staff was really friendly and we were able to check-in three hours ahead. Very tasty breakfast in a cosy lounge. Not suitable for people with difficulties in moving and not with a very big and heavy luggage as there are stairs and no elevator. We didin.t use the kitchen or washing machines

Loved everything in Hektor - cozy "container-hotel room", environmental details, smart design ideas, 5* hotel conveniences with comfortable bed & sheets etc
I was amazed that small room was actually so spacious and there was space for everything.
This is a company who think green and act green as well. Small notes on the wall to remind us to keep water and sort garbage.
The only thing what made me unhappy was the fact that I had opportunity to stay only one night there. I'll be back one day for longer period and will be part of this lovely community with open-minded people.

The hotel is located in a cool part of Tallinn - a creative and urban area with tons of restaurants, shops and galleries! It is also opposite a big supermarket.

The building is stunning, the rooms are spacious and clean. There are recycling bins inside the building so you can also recycle while staying there.

There is a lovely harmony room (perfect for fitness and yoga) and the reception/bar downstairs is welcoming and they serve delicious coffee.

I highly recommend you to stay. The staff is also really kind and helpful.

Hands down the most well designed hotel I've ever stayed at! Hektor containers have nicely balanced out design, sustainability, and practicality to create a homely stay for their guests.

Not only is it environmentally conscious, but it also nails the basics. The cleanliness of the place was impeccable, making my stay comfortable and worry-free. The location added a cherry on top, allowing easy access to nearby attractions and activities.

This was a great and refreshing idea, place and all package! Booking up etc. happened nicely online, when we arrived the service was excellent, all the systems worked perfectly and the container room was very comfortable and we had a joyful time. The breakfast was very tasty and cheap too, served with a tray on the lobby tables. Service was top notch too. Our highest recommendations! Connections to everywhere in Telliskivi are very close, easy to reach.

A fantastic stay!! (A special shout out to Vivian/Vivienne for being wonderful, honestly a hero for the hotel!!)

Such a warm welcome by sharing a recognition of being from the same place as comedian James Acaster. (Still shocked because no one else has ever heard of where I'm from across the world 😂)

With availability, early check in was thankfully allowed, giving me extra time to be settled and explore the city. The location is great, right next to the station, Tram 2/6 and Balti Jaama Turg. Also a great starting point for my run along the sea front on the following morning.

The containers themselves are housed in a larger secure warehouse/depot which offers comfortable common areas. The containers are comfortable, air conditioned and not stuffy. I liken it to a stay in CitizenM. If you love that brand, you'll love it here too.

Cool & contemporary space in Tallinn. Just near the train station and popular Telliskivi area. Bars, restaurants and local designer shops are within very short walking distance away.
Bed was comfy. Shower room and bathroom great. Drinking water from the tap! No kettle or fridge in the room but there really was no need for either as most shops are open until 22:00. Air con was a major plus! Will be my go to place next time I need a place to stay in Tallinn. If you’re the person who likes to enjoy the view from your hotel room- this is not the place for you. But views you’ll find fro. Fotografiska in less than 5 min walk away for example.
But for anyone looking for a unique experience and clean comfy room in the heart of Tallinn- this is the place for you!

Such a nice and different hotel experience. Sleep quality was exellent. We also liked common areas to spend time with our friends travelling with us.

They even have free yoga classes for the guests. I wish we would know that!

Telliskivi, Kalamaja, Põhjala are all so interesting neighborhoods and reachable by tram from the centre of the city.
