This is a really great hotel. I usually stay in chain hotels but this was a fantastic experience. The hotel is modern but sympathetically decorated with nice high end touches. Breakfast is superb and the staff are lovey. My room was a standard room and was in the annexe. For me this was great as I overlooked the side street not the main drag and so was nice and quiet. The bathroom shower door seal at the bottom was ill fitted and the drain was slow. This meant that water went under the door and onto the bathroom floor. Also, seeing as the shower door opened outward, when you get out of the shower it pushed the water that’s leaked out even further around the bathroom floor. This was nothing more than a slight inconvenience and didn’t detract from the room itself. The bed was so comfy - I had 3 great nights’ sleep. The walk into the old town was perfect and so beautiful. Takes about 10-15 mins. All the Christmas lights and trees along the route and in the old town are lovely. Especially covered in snow! Perfect location for this hotel. I’ll be staying here again for sure.…
Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff very friendly and the place was spotless. Enjoyed the whirl pool bath in the room. Never got to try the restaurant but it looked good. If I was staying in the city again I would try to stay here. The courtyard area was beautifully decorated for Christmas.
The premises are quite wonderful, full of history. The room was very nice and a whirlpool bath there was a "bonus". In Zen Spa we could relax. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was many-sided.
Wonderful building. Service. Restaurant. Miljöö. Environment. Area. Silence. Good breakfast. No dinner. Good beds. Good cleaning. Location. Excellent parking. Stuff. Check in. Check out. Late check out.
At the reception the clerk told us that we have not reserved rooms!!!! However, She found the reservation She did not say anything about your hotel, for example, when id breakfast or that she would have welcomed us.The breakfast was very good:) The rooms needed to be repaired. We got help with the repairs but not for everything!!
I was given a "zen" room overlooking the courtyard but the hotel neglected to tell me that right below my window an extremely noisy wedding was scheduled to take place. The wedding started around 4.30 pm and did not end until 1.30 am. I could not rest the entire afternoon because of the noise and figured it would end early evening. It only got worse. I was assured the noise would stop by 10 pm but continued unabated until 1.30 am. It was impossible to sleep or even read. It was torture, really. The staff was embarrassed but could not do anything since they were told by the owner that wedding revenue is critical and the comfort of the guest be damned. After much complaining I was assured that I would get a refund for my stay. I was told they could not credit my credit card right then but that their accounting department would take of the refund. So far, almost 2 months later, no refund. I tried to contact them but got no response. I found the entire experience awful and would not recommend anyone staying there.…
Very good service and nice atmosphere at the hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Special thanks to the receptionist who exceeded our expectations. Location is perfect, close both to old town and Telliskivi area.
We stayed at Von Stackelberg for a conference. We had a great stay. Rooms are a bit smaller that usual but everything was fine. Bathroom small but very clean. BREAKFAST WAS REALLY GOOD. Very nice overall!
thoroughly enjoyed visit.,lovely place, lovely room, great location. Would definitely go again. Close to station and to old town so just where we wanted. Only thing which let it down was the towels were a bit small.
No complaints for the price very helpful front desk who helped in checkin and for booking a taxi and providing a separate kids bed Slight issue with entering hotel due to key not working but resolved quickly Great location close to old city
