Rooms are very small, walls are super thin, but the location is perfect and it’s clean. Breakfast- very simple but ok. Staff is very kind. Many restaurants are nearby and old town streets are just right next to hotel.

This small hotel in an old wooden house with a great location was simple but very welcoming. Clean smallish rooms that had been recently renovated, good breakfast selection, helpful staff, nice surroundings with a small park.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Koidulapark for a weekend in August 2008. As this is the high season in Pärnu, I was pleasantly surprised with the price of the room and the fact that they even had vacancies (I booked only 2 weeks in advance). I have visited Pärnu several times, but as this was the first time for my boyfriend I chose a hotel near the centre of town.

We drove to Pärnu from Tallinn on Friday afternoon, found a free parking place rather quickly and headed for the hotel. Koidulapark's website says that it doesn't have a parking place, but I did see some cars at the backyard. Pärnu is not a large town, so it's pretty easy to find a parking spot close enough.

The check-in was quick, the girl at the desk very pleasant. Note for other Finnish people: Please DO NOT expect everyone to speak Finnish! I find it very rude to start loudly speaking Finnish to Estonians, without first asking would they rather use some other language.

Our room was on the 3rd floor, facing the backyard. It was smallish, but totally what we expected. Only complaint of the room was that it was pretty hot, so we had to sleep with windows open. The hotel is practically in the centre of town, next to a beautiful park, so there is bound to be noise from outside. Oddly enough, most of the noise consisted of seagulls (and some odd partypeople).

After dining and a few drinks (Steffani's for pizza is good) we slept like babies. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast was served from 9-11 (good that it didn't end at 10 like usually!). The amount and quality of the food surprised us totally, for the price we would have expected way less! 4 kinds of bread, youghurts, eggs, cheeses, meats, cereal, fresh fruit...

Spent the day shopping and walking around. Pärnu beach is great, but we are not beach-people. Just had beers at Rannakohvik (under the shade of course). Had dinner at the mexican restaurant Mõnus Margarita. Food ok, awesome strawberry margaritas. Beware, the small one doesn't cost much, but is at least 2dl...

Stayed in the hotel for the evening (too full to go out), which turned out to be nice. Whenever we felt like it, just went to the lobby to get some drinks back to the room. 2 beers (0,5) only 65 EEK.

Sunday morning we had the great breakfast again, checked out and headed home. Overall, a very good weekend. Would recommend Pärnu and Koidulapark.

More than an hotel, this is like an hostel to be honest. I wonder how they got three stars. Anyway the rooms are small and extremely simple, but clean and everything works. The people working there are very friendly. The location is good, five minutes from the bus station, right in the center and 10 minutes walk from the beach. The breakfast was quite poor, nothing special and the food served looked quite "old". A good thing is the bar they have with very cheap prices to get water or something else to drink at each hour. The wi-fi works only in the entrance. I do not know if I would stay here again, the place looks kind of old, but it works for a night. I think that, anyway, the price they charge is a bit too high for the quality.

Koidulapark Hotel is a great place for accommodation when the high season is over. Then they have fair prices. We stayed at this hotel in the middle of the summer and paid 83 euros for a night (for comparision, Hotel Helga in central Helsinki, a four star hotel, charges 80 euros during the same season). The room was like a punker. Could not take a shower, because the water stopped running properly at some stage. And that little water that did run flew in the room because the bathroom was located half a floor higher than the bedroom! No air conditioner, instead there was a fan on top of the cupboard which could not be left on for the night as it was loud and blew straight at us. The bedsheets had holes in them and the curtains were about to fall down. The breakfast was OK.

Also: during the summer season you better be careful about your bills - we was charged for five coffees instead of two. We did get the money back after confronting the staff though.

Hotel is cosy and small and suits for people who seek authentical atmosphere and are looking for peaceful walks in the city and enjoying the beach or cheap dinners in the central city area. The hotel itself does not have anything special to offer, very simple rooms, no ventilation, wi-fi does not work in the rooms. The problem with many Estonian old buildings is that in summertime the sewers tend to sink. Prices in high season in Pärnu are relatively high, so 85 euros for a small room is a standard price: there are cheaper hostels and more expensive hotels. In my opinion hotel is more ** stars, absolutely not ***. But a friendly place and fulfilled my excpectations since been in the city relatively many times. If you're looking for international standards for rooms etc. don't come, if authenticity, it's a good choise. Free parking place is a big +

We enjoyed very much our stay this simple, humble and authentic hotel in a wooden house.
We felt very good in it, beds are good and price was reasonable compared to some other places we have seen in this wealthy city.
With a bigger budget, you can go in one of the villas for something typical as well, but Koidula Park was a very good compromise for us, and we as well found the people very nice.

Vanha, mutta siisti. Yllättävän hyvät sängyt. Vedenpaine heikko ja veden lämpötila vaihteli. Wi-Fi toimi välillä heikosti. Aamupala oli riittävä.
Respassa ystävällinen palvelu.

Sopii parin yön nukkumapaikaksi.

Old but clean. Beds were suprisingly comfortable. Wi-Fi didn't work at all times. Waterpressure and water temperature chanced. Breakfast was good enough. Reception workers friendly.

Suits for couple nights visit.

Very basic and over priced. The room was basic, quite small. The room wax equipped with tv and fan. We had problems with water pressure and no hot water at morning. Lot of noise from street. No elevator, ask ground floor room if you have difficulties at stairs. WiFi didn't work at the room. Parking was free (and small, places for max 10 cars), we have to park to street side (watch for free). Buffet style breakfast, ok quality. A few steps from city center and 10 to 15min to the beach. Medicore service. Next time visitng Pärnu we will choose another place to stay.

If you don't expect too much, this hotel is ok. Normal room prices are very very overpriced. I paid about 40,-/night and even it felt overpriced.

It's a very old building and some fixings where made by chewing gum in our bathroom....not cool...So more an hostel with unique? atmosphere. It's a shame because with some (and more some) renovation this villa would be perfect!

Cleaning was ok,but could be better
Shower and bathroom is almost an joke, but we managed.

Beds where good. Location is perfect and staff friendly.
