Pärnu Rannahotell has remained one of the most beautiful hotels in Estonia since it opened its doors in 1937. In 2016, the hotel underwent complete refurbishment to attain a fresh and elegant northern look. Rannahotell enjoys a great location on a sandy beach, only a 15-minute walk from the centre of Parnu. Rannahotell is open all year round, providing accomodation and relaxing, family and golf packages. The hotel has 55 rooms, 11 of them spacious suites boasting a sea-view. The historical hotel offers accommodation even to the most demanding taste. All Estonian presidents have stayed at the hotel.

Most of rooms dont have airconditioner. And opening window in night means lot of noise untill morning. Servise is polite but not helpful or hospitable - do not care of your comfort or needs. Eaven delux room dont have drinking water in rooms.

Historical building from 1937 (sure, renovated several times 😊). Good location in Estonia’s summer capital. At the sea-side of the building there is a outdoor relax-area. And after that the main walking beach-promenade and the beach. Pärnu beach is the most famous in Estonia. We had a sea-view room on the 2nd floor (may-be 3rd floor would be a bit better) with a balcony incl 2 chairs and a table. Room was may-be a bit small for a longer stay but big enough for a 3-nights visit. Clean and nice room, night-curtains. Bed was comfortable to sleep. In most of hotels I have a pillow-problem because these are too big. This was solved very fast by the hotel personnel and so it was a good sleep there! Also very comfortable detail in a extra hot summer day – A/C does not turn off automatically when you leave the room. So there was no need to start cooling immediately every time when arriving the room. Bathroom was very clean and well equipped. But it had 2 shortages for us: not too much place to put our stuff. Some more hooks to hang clothes or towels would be easy to organize. Additional shelves would probably be more complicated idea. Also – a big window between the room and bathroom can be interesting design in a paper but in real all the bathroom lights make the room light as well during the night. Matte glass with transparent ornaments does not cover the lights (but still you can not watch TV in the room while sitting on the WC 😊). Also great in the bathroom – shower was „soft“ and water temperature regulation worked fast. Also sure you can drink water there. And there was a 3-ply toilet paper, not some cheap 1-ply one like at some 5* hotels even. Small details but devil is hidden in details like you probably know. Breakfast till 11.00 was tasty. Selection was not tremendously big but there was everything needed fo a good breakfast. Also included - Cava and Kama (Estonian national drink-food /something like yoghurt with cereals' flour/), I like it very much). Coffee – the best hotel coffee ever till now according to my wife (I do not drink coffee myself but it is worth to believe her 😊). Dinner in a hotel restaurant was super delicious! Chef’s welcome – smoked eel – super! Starter – we had liver patee and tuna tartare – also very tasty. Main course – we took fish – very good incl the best seller I have eaten in my life. Dessert – Pavlova and Panna Cotta – ready to eat again always! Servide also warm, friendly and professional. My special joy was a beer – they had Weihenstephan Weizen – one of my favourite wheat-beers! Massage was also very good. Also in a library there were many good books but had no time for that this time. Conclusion: I would not give maximum points in a 20-stage scale but in a 5-stage scale sure it is worth of 5. Worth to come back. I am not sure if the hotel is kids’ favourite but for adults - I recommend.

We stayed one night at this beach hotel in Pärnu- on our way from Finland back to France. The double room with the balcony and the sea view was very clean and the beds we’re comfortable. The restaurant at site was excellent! We had a wonderful dinner on the terrace- with beach view and good service and really tasty and good dinner ! The breakfast buffet was well organized - considering the COVID-19 situation . The only negative thing was the loud ‘techno’music - coming from somewhere close at the beach and lasting to 3 a.m. .. We were not able to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view.. But still : highly recommended!
