Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Everything was good, but the breakfast could be better. The location was excellent, right on the beach in Pärnu. Parking was free in the off-season. The family room was big enough for a family of five.

I love the hotel, if you wanna imagine yourself to the time of glorious thirties than this is just place for you! Fantastic location, beautiful view and restaurants is super good. I have been in this hotel in summer as well, but somehow I love it even more out of season, this endless view to the sea, so calm.

Very beautiful historical hotel building in a good location. Located next to coast line and beach. There was short distance to spa. City center is reachable by walking and taxis are cheap as well. Service was great and rooms very clean and cozy.

Excellent breakfast, everything is clean, the location is amazing, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, the soundproofing is very good. There is always a place to park your car on the hotel grounds, no need to book in advance.

The best location in Pärnu during Summer time. Beautiful view to the sea and brach. You can literally go to swim wearing only bathrobe and slippers. The hotel is renovated and has unique 30's spirit and design. Quality for money. Around the hotel attractions for kids, walking distance to Aquaspa hotel in case the weather is bad. Many options for dining. Very good service and welcoming staff.

Had a nice stay at Rannahotell at the end of the summer season. Most things were positive, but there were a few quirks. Positive: - Location: right on the beach, couldn't get any better (also within walking distance to parks, playgrounds, restaurants, and shops) - Room: quiet (not beach-facing), clean, and comfortable - Children's playroom: adequately sized, with plenty of toys, books, etc. Neutral: - Buffet breakfast: quite good (though we've had better hotel breakfasts, both in Estonia and in the region) Negative: (this are nitpicky things, admittedly, but still) - Hotel layout: the entrance ramp was grated, so wheeling up rolly suitcases and our stroller was difficult and awkward; there are a couple steps on the floors, once you get off the elevator, that, again, make rolling suitcases and strollers difficult. - Breakfast didn't start until 8am. This is later than most other hotels we've stayed at, and about an hour later (or at least 30 minutes later) than we would've liked. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay, and the location and quietness were excellent. We would also stay there again, but if the breakfast started at 7am and the entrance ramp fixed, things would be better. (I get that it's an old hotel, so fixing the interior steps issue wouldn't be so easy).

I loved the interior design and art pieces on the wall. Staff was also really really top-notch! Breakfast was also nice, loved the view to the sea from the breakfast restaurant. Free mini-bar was also a good surprise!

This is the Hotel for everyone who wants to experience a elegant (opening was in 1937) historical Hotel, where every President of Estonia has also spent their vacation! (I think guests for example from UK would absolutely love this Hotel) The location right next to the beach boulevard is awesome and the sandy beach is wonderful. (the best swimming season in the sea is from mid-June to the end of August) In the summer,Pärnu also has a lively nightlife. (many bars) A bus ticket from Tallinn costs only about 7 euros and the journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. (departures almost every hour for both directions) However, one of the best things in the Hotel is it´s Staff. The service in the restaurant was very friendly/polite. Likewise at the reception, especially Julia was so lovely ! Only if you are disabled,Please note that even though the hotel has an elevator, there are still some stairs in this historic precious hotel. (but there are also ramps for wheelchairs)

Rannahotell is a lovely property, right on the beach. It cannot be overstated how perfect the location is. The hotel itself is very lovely, and the rooms are very nicely laid out. The beds are comfortable, the room was bright and clean, and the bathroom was very modern and nice (though I will never get used to having see-through glass in a bathroom). There was also a mini-fridge where we were provided with a selection of complementary beverages. This was a very nice touch, compared to how ridiculously overpriced minibar items can be in other hotels. We had originally booked a room with a sea view. While the room did have a sea view, that view was mostly obscured by trees, so we asked if it was possible to upgrade to a room with a sea view and balcony. As it was a monday and the hotel was quiet, the hotel arranged this for us for a small cost, and without fuss. The upgrade was definitely worth our while as we made good use of the balcony. Breakfast was great. There was a wide selection of food items, and I thought it a nice touch to offer both filter coffee as well as coffee from a coffee machine. The one downside was paid parking. I understand why this is the case when it is a busy time. But the carpark was empty when we were there. Given the high cost of the hotel room, on principle, it would have been nice to provide free parking.
