Having experienced 4 star hotels before, we with friends were expecting something better for the price, that the hotel is asking for their stays.
Reception: When we arrived, we were greeted by a nice welcoming lady (who seemed to be an apprentice). But the main administrator, who was helping her and was administrating on the next day during check out was very cold and with a rude attitude. She even does not speak russian and does not even try to understand what russian speaking guests try to ask her. (An old man was asking in Russian, if this is Wasa sanatorium, which is quite understandable in every language, but she just made a face and turned to servicing other people). We also asked to buy from her water after check out, on which she replied in a very rude way "at the minute we are out of water as you can see (the "minibar next to the reception indeed had no water"), HOW can one hotel run out of bottled water?
Cleanliness of the hotel: Overall hotel is clean and tidy, but the lamps hanging from the sealing are visibly too dusty and not cleaned daily. Also after washing the floors there is a specific smell that stays in the halls (like when it starts getting after the washcloth is used either too much or is too unclean)
Rooms: Rooms very nicely clean. A bit cold on arrival, but this guests can adjust to their own needs. In the bathrooms, when you want to take a good shower, all the bathroom floor will be full of water. Beds are very comfy. No free water or tea/coffee making possibilities in the rooms. No warm radiator in the bathroom to dry your spa clothes. Luckily there is one in the room itself.
Food and service: Food was nice, especially dinner was very good. We really enjoyed it. The service overall was poor - either unexperienced and untrained or there is a lack of interest in the work and towards customers.
Spa area: It was cold in the spa (air and water). The main pool, which sais that should be 31 C, felt much colder. Not very cosy and relaxing. Area where they have spa procedures is nice though. Procedures that we chose were very good and the service afterwards was nice. Tea/water was offered after procedures in the spa procedures relaxing area.

Overall the hotel gives you kind of a "cold, reserved feeling", it is missing a "warm touch", neither the interior nor the personnel.

We visited the Spa on 31.05.22 and we were told by the receptionist at the treatment room that you are welcome to enjoy the water or order a cocktails at the bar inside the Spa; however when we arrived at the swimming pools and sauna areas, the water jars were completely empty and during our 1.5 hours visit, nobody filled the jars nor anyone came to check into the Spa if everything is OK or the water needs to be replenished. After we dressed up, I went to the receptionist in the treatment room to mention that there wasn’t any drinking water availability what so ever, and that we are thirsty; but we received the most awkward, confused and incredibly unprofessional behaviour and response from the receptionist. The receptionist, full of nonsense excuses, couldn’t provide us with water till I had to have a word with her for some 10 minutes to explain that we don’t want to dine at their restaurant that she offered as alternative for being thirsty; nor can we return back to the Spa as we were dressed up already. Completely nonsense behaviour, lack of professionalism. Based on our experience today, I can’t recommend this Spa at all.

I have stayed in many spa hotels in Estonia throughout the years but decided to stay in Wasa resort this time because it’s fairly new spa hotel in Pärnu and so far I’ve only heard good things about it. We booked 2 rooms for one night, several treatments and also had a dinner with guests in their restaurant.
Firstly, the hotel was fully booked and so the spa area, saunas and pools were packed. It was hard to actually relax or swim because there simply wasn’t much room in the pool. On the other hand, the view from the pools is magical and if you visit during cold season, you can go straight from sauna outside and jump into snow to cool yourself down.
Secondly, even though it’s a 4* SPA hotel, there was no vanity kit nor shampoos or body lotions in the room. For spa hotels, body lotions are essential because of the dry skin you get from spending time in the pools. The room itself was nice.
Thirdly, upon our arrival we were asked to pick a time slot for breakfast so that guests would be dispersed due to covid-19. However, when we arrived at our dedicated time slot, the restaurant was full of people. Queues for the food and coffee were long and some guests found it hard to find a table to sit at. The 50% capacity rule was not followed which is the current regulation in Estonia. The food choice was good but there were no labels giving information about food and the allergens. Not sure whether there was even lactose-free milk.
Overall, I would recommend this place but don’t expect this to be a 4* stay, I’d rather say it’s a strong 3* spa hotel.

If you want to provide value for the money for customers, you need to be more than ok, otherwise 250 eur/night it's just too much. This was the case here. Not just value for the money :-( next time our family (and friends) will put our money elsewhere. Just simply not on the level we expected: cleaning not done properly, dust and dirt on surfaces, towels and bathrobes missing (and not delivered even after asked for them!), no coffee, poor cleaning. Additionally, there were no announcement on their website about very noisy construction work just next door. would have been expected just to mention that, but no :-(

It was our first time to visit this relatively new spa hotel in Pärnu and it probably will be the last time. We stayed in a superior room which in size is quite similar to most hotels. Double bed is a twin attached together, room amenities basic (though the small balcony is a nice touch for summer).

Bathroom in the room has glass door/walls which are see-through, so be warned of not having much privacy while showering or pooping. Walls of the room itself are thin and you will be annoyed of the noises coming from outside (maybe it was just our luck that we had an after-party happening next door with 12 ladies stuck in one double room until 4AM and that our room was directly above the restaurant where they had a party with loud music).

Food selection for breakfast is ok, but go early to enjoy it all. Evening dinners are with nice food as well, though it was weird to see the kitchen washing room from the table, probably should've sat in another place. They should fix the bar counter which makes a loud sound every time a waiter goes to the bar area.

Pool and sauna area is basic (steam room, hot sauna, pool, jacuzzi), but luckily didn't get too crowded. There's only one person from the hotel working/sitting in the area and she was just sitting in her computer while trash cans piled up.

Overall the customer service lacks nice approach towards the customer, most people working in the hotel either seem unexperienced or just bored with their work (or just "too estonian").

In terms of choice, quality and price, you can find better spa hotel options in Pärnu (maybe try Hedon or Estonia).

The CheckIn was very Smooth, and the hotel seems very clean. The room was very spacious and the bed was really super confortable, and blankets really warm. The Only minus Thing from the room was the bathroom, not saying it was bad cause it was very big and all heated floors but the shower is the minus un there, there is no glass or curtains to isolate it from the rest of the bathroom ( meaning you can be having shower and just wet all toilet and toilet papers :) ) i think this issue can be improved. The breakfeast was really good and with a lot of variety and opened in weekends till 11. About the Spa, it is not a very big one but the swimming pool is decent and big enough, we just thought it should be warmer cause at some point we felt cold, same to say about the whole spa building. The saunas were good and very clean.

In apartments, there should be little packages of salt, pepperoil and other stuff that is nessesary in kichen. everything else was okay. I don't know what are you thinking, that we are going to grossery shop and we think that we need to buy salt and everything by ourselves. It would be nice if its already there waiting for using:))

Could be a lot better. The good news is most of it can be fixed to a large extent; however, it would never amount to a 5 star experience because of the design problems of the pool area. It’s just too small and awkwardly designed, especially given the size of the hotel and especially when it’s anywhere near its full capacity. Sauna is good, though, but too little room beyond the pool, too. Very slippery - lack of a bigger gap between the pool and cramped resting area greatly contributes to the problem on top of the tiles choice. Kids below 10y don’t have any safe area or their own pool, too. Spa service seemed good and professional on the plus side.

The highlight of the hotel is the restaurant - not cheap, but it offers value for money.

Now, onto what really drags the rating down. The hotel leaves a very good first impression as it’s very new, clean and looks the deal from outside. However, lack of some basic amenities and service is not compatible with its 4 star rating: no safes in the room, no info about anything but the mini bar and spa services, no kettle or any tea/coffee making facilities. Got to pay extra. Far nicer to account for the cost and add a euro or two per night? Bedding also rather cheap synthetic. Room was cleaned just before 5pm on our last night, so spent an extra hour in the pool. Breakfast layout also not ideal if busier times as gets crowded easily, a slow moving queue basically.

All in all not a bad experience, but could have been much better. Don’t regret coming here, our 6y old enjoyed it, but I would have happily paid a few euros more per night for a smoother experience.

My recent stay at Wasa Resort was a mixed bag of emotions, colored by the backdrop of a challenging period in my life. While the resort offered some positive aspects, there were moments where I felt overlooked and out of place.

Let's start with the positives. The location of the resort, nestled near the sea with picturesque walking paths, provided a much-needed escape from the chaos of everyday life. The breakfast spread was a comforting start to the day, and the cool, tranquil room provided a sanctuary for much-needed rest.

However, my stay was punctuated by moments of disappointment and frustration. From the very beginning, there seemed to be a disconnect in communication regarding the length of my stay, leading to an unexpected call requesting an early check-out due to overbooking. While the staff attempted to rectify the situation by offering an upgraded room at a higher price, the lack of prior notice left me feeling unsettled.

My first evening at the resort only added to my sense of isolation. The restaurant, bustling with couples enjoying a special dinner offer, left me feeling like the odd one out. When I inquired about ordering a small a la carte meal for myself, I was met with a firm refusal, further emphasizing my solo status.

The spa experience, intended as a reprieve from my troubles, fell short of expectations. The facilities were overcrowded with loud, rowdy guests, making it difficult to find a moment of peace and relaxation. After a stressful divorce proceeding, I had hoped for a serene escape, but instead found myself surrounded by reminders of my solitude.

To add to my disappointment, I discovered that room service came with an additional charge, a detail that felt like a final blow to my already fragile mood. It seemed that at every turn, the resort catered to couples, leaving little room for solo guests like myself to feel welcomed and valued.

In conclusion, my stay at Wasa Resort was a rollercoaster of emotions. While there were certainly moments of enjoyment, the overall experience left much to be desired. With a bit more consideration for solo guests and attention to detail, I believe the resort could create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all guests, regardless of their relationship status.
