Nicely located in the waterfront, but only a short walk from town. Staff polite but not as overtly friendly and helpful as some. Nice room with balcony overlooking the sea. Ask for Arimehe, it’s the only room here that has one. Decent sized room, clean and comfortable but few in-room facilities. Sauna bookable free, but staff reluctant to book one starting after 6pm as reception closes at that time. Free wi-fi in room, no password.
I was in a room for two, it was on the third floor above the restaurant. The room was really nice and cozy, clean and I really liked the design. Bed was comfortable. Food was good, simple and tasty, I had dinner and breakfast. Only thing I disliked was the shower, a bit uncomfortable to use and the floor was really cold.
Typical East European small hotel - comfort is fine, decor is (very) dated. En suites are dark and dull. Staff are friendly, engaging and cheerful. This hotel depends totally upon the room you get: if facing the inner courtyard/parking area then not great, however if facing the front and the lagoon it is a sensational view. Breakfast is cold meats / cheese / fish with typical black breads and porridge.
We stayed only one night in the Lux class and it was worth every penny. A balcony overlooking the shore, two rooms on two floors, each with a TV set. A 24h mini bar at the reception with very reasonable prices. I am sure we will be back for a longer period soon.
We were recommended the hotel by friends who had been here earlier and we booked our stay at this place. Don't regret it. Our room was nice and clean. Big windows with a nice view to a garden and the sea. Hotel is placed at the seaside and there is walking distance to almost everything in town. The breakfast was in the main building and gave you a good start. It was not a luxury breakfast, but I found it to be more than enough for what I need for breakfast. Friendly staff.
The one good thing about this hotel is the location and the view from it. The room we got was very simple and obvious it needs a renovation. A bedsheets were torn in some places, beds were not comfortable. The shower's condition could be equated to poor. There was a strange smell from the shower! There were no extra carpet or towel in the shower thus after taking the shower all bathroom was full of water. Very poor breakfast. The taste of coffee was lurid. The soundproof was a disaster - we could hear our neighbours when they peed in the bathroom. So the stay was not worth those 75 € we had paid for one night.
Good place to sit a very clean and in a good location near the sea. Rome could use better ventilation because it gets warm in the Evening Sun. Kristina, the receptionist was exceptionally helpful friendly, and spoke near-perfect English with a wonderful Estonian accent. She made the difference.
This is a vary good choice for a one or two night stand. Small comfort rooms in country style. A lot of window with the great view. Breakfast is simple but enough for us: oatmeal, boiled eggs, cheese and sausage, herring, some vegetables, coffee, tea...
Visited Estonia for a week and decided to make a detour from my prepared itenerary. Ended up in Haapsalu and the Paeva Villa. Not so easy to find, but well worth the search. Very friendly reception and a very nice single room with a marvelous view of the bay. More that worth the price.
We have stayed at the Paeva Villa several times and it has always been a nice hotel, nothing fancy, but clean and close to the centre. This time we stayed in Uncle Elmar's suite with two bedrooms, one twin and one double, and a small lounge squeezed in between the bedrooms with a sofa and TV. There is also one bathroom with shower and a small balcony with two chairs and table with a view of the lake. This hotel is very quiet and situated in a residential area. Parking spaces just outside the hotel and a nice garden. As we were rained in one evening we also had dinner at the hotel which was very good. If you want a nice clean quiet hotel, I would recommend the Paeva Villa.
