Had a great day in Haapsalu, it has a spa a pool and saunas. The breakfast was average Estonian, dinner was also good. The rooms were clean but tired already. The staff in spa was a bit impolite when yelling at people who didnt know how long they could use the pool facilities in the morning. Saunas are closed in the morning only the pool is open.

Very nice Estoniain place, SPA near Baltic sea, Haapsalu city. Different and interesting SPA procedures can be found there. You can swim in Baltic sea at the beach near hotel. Cabins for cloth change and different attractions are there. The best numbers are at the 1st floor, near spa procedure place, with the view to the beach and Baltic sea. No dislikes, liked everything.

I visited Fra Mare with my wife and 3Y old daughter in February, just before the stricter COVID rules were applied. It was our first longer stay in a hotel since the COVID outbreak started and it was surprisingly smooth. Yes, the masks were mandatory but by then we were all used to it so it did not bother at all. The only thing that was influenced a bit was the spa visit as you had call first to inquire if there is still room (a certain number of persons was let in the pool area) and sometimes nobody picked up the phone for a long time but there was always room in the spa so no waiting list or anything. The Deluxe room was insanely huge - it had 1,5 floors with a large seating area! And the best thing was (in our daughter's opinion) that the children's play area was just outside our door. The room was impeccably clean but a bit outdated and tired-looking - nothing was broken or anything but you could see wear and tear here and there. I definitely compliment the staff as they were always very cheerful and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were really abundant and tasty. The spa area is above average - a lot of saunas, a decent size pool, large jacuzzi and the outdoor pool was especially fun during these very cold winter days. We used also several treatmants and they were all top notch. So all in all a great and relaxing 3-night vacation in a nice hotel in Haapsalu. I definitely recommend it.…

I have visited Fra Mare repeatedly before. But so far only a place to spend the night and leave in the morning, this time I decided to choose a vacation. The only good thing I can say about these 2 nights is a masseuse. Reception. Instead of arguing and reasoning, one could explain why some fields are necessary for completion. Previous visits have not had to be completed and simply put, "the law is commanding" without explanation is a pity pretext. "Restaurant". 1 disinfectant dispenser for the whole hall. There was plenty of room to eat, but there was not enough food to take. Rooms. The cleaners may not have heard much about hygiene or there are no cleaners. (Added picture from TV remote control). Also, while lying in bed, it was discovered that there is a lamp switch and wall sockets behind the pillow. So every time you move your head at night, the lights come on. Also, if you want to get hot water then it is wise to go to the SPA area to wash. SPA. Due to the COVID-19 rules, 75 people were allowed in the SPA at the same time on the day of our visit. If you think that this is the largest indoor swimming pool in Estonia, then unfortunately not. All in all, it was not pleasant for Fra Mare to spend her vacation and will not go there anymore. The hotel itself is outdated and did not create a cozy feeling during the holidays, but it was rather cold and thin. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Olen eelnevalt külastanud Fra Mare-t korduvalt. SPA massage procedures - performed in gloves that do not provide a relaxing feeling. As long as the mask on your head you wait is to hear how the staff loudly talk to each other. The price-quality ratio is very along. did not like. Breakfast - below average. Coffee water instead of coffee. The daily steak (Kiev cutlet) ordered from the bar counter was frozen. vinegar vegetable salad that tasted filthy. The grilled sausage was like the sole of a boot.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Our room was never cleaned. The last day when we talked to our maid she said we needed to ask to have our room cleaned and she yelled at us. She told us to read the info on the desk which states this. The paper clearly states you only talk to the maid if you do not want your room cleaned. When we went to the front desk to ask to speak to a manager, we were told that no manager was available. No one at this hotel was “in charge”. Our room was quite dirty even before we recieved it. There was piles of dust and dirt on our floors. The spa and pool staff were also not very friendly and not helpful. The staff at the lobby bar were nice but they were overworked and understaffed We have visited hotels in Estonia for 14 years. This has been the poorest service we have had in Estonia. It has a very Soviet feel and service. I would not recommend. There are so many choices of hotels in Haapsalu. Stay somewhere else.…

The room was correct, no more. During our stay (4 days), the sheets have never been changed. Regarding the thalasso staff, if my wife was lucky with the same gentle women for all her "treatments", it was not the same for me! 2 women with brutal gestures, not cool at all! All the treamtments were made of cosmetic products and not from sea products (excepted the mud treatment) so is it really a Thalosso center? Not for me... The restaurant for dinner is simple and cheap. Actually, I think that this center is good for families, not that much for couples.

I am unsatisfied with the room offered - No.500. A year ago I went to the Deluxe Room - selected from the pictures on the Fra Mare website. Room no.500 pictures are not on the internet-page, so the offer of this room became an unpleasant surprise (the toilet door with a vent is in the bedroom and just opposite the bed). When I asked to change this room, I received a reply that there were no Deluxe rooms available. And to explain why room 500 is a Deluxe type - there were two balconies in the room. Extra value in winter!

It's loud. While dining and trying to relax, there's most likely a wedding, party or something similar going on in the next room. And when I say the next room, I mean the space is divided with a curtain. Rooms don't have air conditioning - it's either hot or cold (open the balcony door). The walls are thin. Breakfast buffet may include hungover, beer gulping, noisy individuals.
