Nice House in the Nature. Compared to price it was a really good Stay. Everything needed in the room as described when we booked. We were glad, that there was also a moskito net at the window. Breakfast was good...
After a 15 minute drive from the nearest town, Haapsalu, you arrive at a 18th century manor building the owner and his wife have made into their home and a place to stay for you. We enjoyed adjoining rooms with a...
Some words about the restaurant. The food is tasty, even very tasty. The service is funny. We ordered a bottle of wine. The bottle was brought, placed on the table, and the waitress left. We waited for a minute, we...
Warm, comfortable cabin with kitchenette, small TV (with English-language news channels), and marginal wifi (i think my cabin was just a long way from the router). I can imagine that in the high season/school...
We called for this hostel to make the reservation and they accepted saying that they had room for us. Their English was really bad but everything was settled. When we arrived at the hostel, no one was there for the check in. The only paper that was on the main entrance was saying that the reception schedule was between 14h-18h (really?!?!) and there was a phone number. We phoned and someone with really poor English just said "no room for today" and hang up. They didn't care if I had a reservation or not. I had to change my plans and looking for other place to stay at 8pm!!
We have booked several time Endla Hostel but first time we've got a chance to be there. We were surprised about the room as there were all facilities: kitchen and toilet+shower what we didn't expect. Room was clean and quiet in the night. Location is very good - very close to the center and old town. Only minus for us was that payment was only in cash.
Definitely a frill-free place but clean. I thought the room (no breakfast included) was rather expensive for such a plain establishment provincial Estonia, but the location was OK, five minutes from the castle. The receptionist's manner was rather brusque, refusing to speak anything but Estonian once she saw my Finnish passport (the languages are less than 50% mutually intelligible). There is a kitchen and a TV room, neither much use if more than a very small number of people want to use them. Beds hard.
The stuff was polite. We arrived to the hostel about couple of hours before check-in time and the reception wasn't open yet. Then we called the owner and although our too early arriving she let us in our room. We stayed there two nights and costed 390 EEK per night. In our own room were two differ beds, chairs and clothes closet. I felt little cold in room, but there were an electric radiator. The hostel offers for visitors a shared kitchen, where you can boil water, use owen and fridge. Toilets and showers are outside of the own room and are shared with other rooms. There were also shared common room, where is a couch and TV.
