Was there for 1 night. Good location (old town is in few minutes walk). Nice clean rooms. Very beautiful view from windows. Restaurant was more then good. Helpfull frontdesk. Its place for peoples, who whant rest well (quiet place).
we stayed here 3 nights while on a bike trip with Baltic cycle tours. The staff was helpful and the rooms were clean. I would hightly reccomend asking for a room facing the canal since the rooms facing the enterance to the hotel was very noisy since there was a lot of pedestian traffic crossing under our window. We requested to be moved upon our seccond stay and we were giving a nice corner room. Breakfast was ok, but not fantastic.
Great location, views over the harbour. Large windows to see the views,. We stayed 2 nights on the third floor, we loved the views of the boats. Easy walk into town and fun watching the bridge open every hour to allow access to the harbour. Car parking free and breakfast was tasty for both hot & cold food. We had coffees & cake in the evening. Would recommend the hotel. It could be noisy in the evenings from the local bikers who met up on the harbour car park and race their bikes in the evening. To be fair they were usually gone by 10.30 _ 11.00pm.
The dirty towels, the curtains, the shower cabin were mold, did not work soap spray, a dirty shower cabin, bathroom walls, a very loud air conditioner, unpleasant staff and a very small TV. Breakfast poor.
We loved the Old Mill Hotel. The location was incredible. The service was good. Our room was spacious and comfortable and a great value. The breakfast was great. If you love harbour towns like me, it couldn't be more scenic. In Klaipeda, the Dane River is lined with bars, restaurants and hotels. The prices in Klaipeda are a dream compared to Scandinavia and lower than Riga and Tallinn. The Old Mill Hotel is on the Dane River and has water on 3 sides with the fourth side leading to a point. Small boats are everywhere. The pier for visiting cruise ships is a block away. Direct pedestrian access to town is across a quaint hand turned rotary bridge. See the pictures. The ferry to the Curonian Spit is just across the river.
