My partner and I visited, every hotel seemed busy but there was a room here. Staff very friendly. Check in quick. Parking just down behind hotel. Room spacious and clean. Bathroom facilities great and spotless clean. Bar area nice, busy late evening. Breakfast was good, €10 each, reasonable price. Thank you, you made our trip to Zilina very nice.
Spent there just one night but everything was ok, receptionist was kind and helpful, staff was nice. The room was big enough, chocolate "coins"as a welcome on pillow :), dinner was delicious. Breakfast was good, front cooking was offered. Good coffee. Even a person with lowcarb diet can be satisfied.
We booked this hotel as a stopover on a trip because it said it has a spa and is four star, both of which are untrue. The hotel is pretty at first sight but then you can see how old and worn out a lot of things are. The room was very clean and comfortable and we slept very well. However, the spa only has a whirlpool and a sauna (not a pool as advertised online) and the whirpool was broken and you have to order the sauna to be warmed up?!?! After an hour and a half the sauna had only gotten to 60 celcius so we gave up on it. You also only get an hour of the "spa" included in the room price and you have to book the time. The worst part of the hotel is the services. We booked two expensive rooms but they still asked for a 3 euro parking fee for the car. At breakfast there is a coffee machine but you have to pay extra for anything but terrible filter coffee. There is an omolette station with no one working there. The staff watched us wait for ten minutes then when I asked if someone was there they went to get the chef who came out a few minutes later. We also couldn't stop laughing because there was one capsule of nutella on a huge plate for everyone to share. It is close to the centre and the beds were comfortable.…
A very good hotel, clean room, good breakfast. Close to a shopping center and Zilina historical monuments. Personell very kind and friendly. Unfortunatly they do not speak a foreign language too well. At breakfast you have front cooking.
We visited hotel Dubna Skala for a couple of days for a business meeting. The hotel is nice, well taken care of. Positives + good parking + nice facilities + clean rooms + shopping mall just across the street if you need something and stay there for a couple of days What could be improved? - service - the staff seemed very inexperienced - food - if you have the opportunity, eat outside of the hotel - the lift did not work during our stay
