The location couldn't be better: Trencin is fantastic and the hotel sits on the perfect spot below the magnificent castle and along the most fun street in a wonderful, small city. There were a few issues that are worth noting though. This hotel is HOT in the summer: there is decent (but not great) air conditioning in the rooms, but none in the hallways or elsewhere. Waiting for an elevator on an upper floor was unbelievably hot. The most surprising thing to me was that my card swipe access to the hallway for the fourth floor elevator mysteriously stopped working well before check-out on my last day. I ended up carrying my large bag down four flights of stairs in the heat and when I mentioned it to the staff member at the desk, she told me I was mistaken, that the elevators required no swipe access. (This part was true, but she was wrong about being able to get to the elevator on the floor with a room card. There was a door that required swipe-access.) I wasn't asking for much--I just wanted to tell them that they had a flaw in their system--but her lack of apology and the fact that she didn't believe me really annoyed me. While we're at it, the parking is very hard to find. I ended up in a garage across the street, but I really didn't know the relationship between the parking garage and the hotel until I checked in. (There is one and it's quite good--it was actually cheaper than what the hotel was offering in its own lot.) It just often seemed like the reception staffed was bothered by these "guest incidentals," which of course are crucial to the actual guest. I'd stay at this hotel again, but they could use a little staff training!…
i´ve been coming to Trencin for the last 9 years and always stayed at the Elisabeth. great building, great location, great rooms, great breakfast, great restaurant, friendly staff! see you next time!!
Pros: Friendly staff Great massages Clean rooms Breakfast while small was very tasty, even had gluten free items!! Pet friendly Interconnected rooms for families Easy parking Excellent location Cons Small rooms and bathrooms Pool very small
Hotel Elisabeth staff and facilities are excellent. Restaurant in the hotel was very good. Close walking distance to the to all shops and restaurants in town. Convenient on premises parking. Good value and will stay again when back in Trencin.
I stayed for the night of 24/11, the junior suite has very bad traffic noise, one widow curtain is too small and can only cover 2/3 widow, so woken up by the light very early in the morning! as bit walk with the luggages from the car park as there isn't back door to get in the hotel
It is lovely, spectacular, historic but well-maintained hotel near to the city center of Trencin. Along with the historic atmposphere we enjoyed all the modern services such as spa, air condition, restaurant. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of food. I truly appreciated that the choice changed a bit every day. Yes, the parking is not right under the hotel, but not far either, 12 euros/day with hotel discount. For me the only downside was air co. It worked well, but somehow the cool air was directed towards the beds and I immediately felt like catching cold-and I still cannot get cured... But it is only me, other members of family had no problem with it...I truly recommend this hotel and also Trencin for those who like local atmosphere with not much tourism.
This hotel is gorgeous with its Roman plate and archeology exhibits in the reception, but still up to date with services, a beautiful wellness centre with massages and an excellent restaurant (a bit pricey, but that is to be expected). The downside is parking. There is parking for the hotel guests for 15€/ night and it is a bit of a walk eith your luggage from the parking lot to the hotel. We stayed with our one year-old and she enjoyed her stay very much as well.
very nice and helpful staff, lovely rooms, we tried room service for the first time here and were so excited - very tasty meal, our first but not least visit, we want to try wellness - it was closed because of covid
Very nice and centrally located hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Upon arrival there was a minor issue with the billing, but the person behind the reception managed to sort it out for us.. Nice big rooms, very clean, comfortable beds, and a decent gym. The price was quite high for what you get, especially as our room did not include breakfast. Unfortunately due to time constraints we did not get the chance to explore more of what the hotel had to offer, so cannot comment on the Spa, breakfast or other aspect of the hotel. The location however, was great. Very central in Trencin, with restaurants, bars and sights within easy walking distance. Would stay again if I was in the area, and the prices improved.. :-D
We have enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The hotel has been renovated and it is done very nice. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Breakfast is also very good with local products. Amazing! Highly recommended!
