Don’t expect a luxury hotel, it isn’t, but with the price you pay for it it’s okay. The rooms are simple but adequate. The bed was firm, but comfortable. The bathroom was big and luxurious, nothing to complain about there. Outside my room was an indoor garden, nice and cozy, but pitch black at night, perhaps a small lamp with a motion detector would be good… The breakfast didn’t have everything in abundance, but it had what I wanted, and the quality was good. The service was good. The only thing not good was the WiFi, that was completely dead. Perhaps it had something to do with the disconnected router I found outside my room the day I left. To sum it up, not a luxury hotel, but totally adequate and at a good price.

The breakfast was amazing. It had a bit for every taste totally worth it, the only downside of the breakfast is that it is only served from 7 to 8. I would like it to be at least until 9 that would make it the best breakfast in the area definitely. The room was really nice but there were so many stairs until our room (3rd floor) and even in our room we had stairs to go to the bed area. Beside that It was an amazing stay and the price per night was really great as well. Staff was nice to us and they super cleaned the room before we arrived. Would definitely stay again as it is really close to the city center (like 5 mins walking). Loved it.

I was on a business trip in Trencin and stayed for two nights in this place. The room was really nice, comfortable bed and I had a huge bathroom. Everything was very clean and taken care of... Additionally, this pension is directly next to the old town with several nice restaurants and bars to spend the evening. Overall a real nice place offering good value on the price!

I received the keys from the lady in the reception (located in the coffee shop). The room was 2 floor room and the bed was pretty good. There was a nice bath in the bathroom and a massive mirror. I stayed there for just 1 day and I left early so I did not try the breakfast that was included in the price. There was some sampoo and TV and DVD player as well as fridge, team maker and coffee and tea but I did not use any of those. Extremely recommended to youngsters that do not mind walking 5 minutes to reach the city centre. (Penzion is next to the bank and close to the taxi station)

Of all the hotels from our 2 week trip that spanned 4 countries, this was my favorite hotel! It had quaint, small-town Slovakia feel, but the room (2 room suite) was spacious, the bathroom updated and clean, and the view of the castle was breathtaking. In addition, the woman who was working while we stayed was incredibly nice and helpful. As soon as we arrived, she walked us around the hotel to show us where everything was and answered all the questions I had about the area, etc. Keep in mind there is no elevator or air conditioning and the stairs to the 3rd floor are narrow and steep. Breakfast was great and parking convenient. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

We wanted somewhere near the hospital that could accommodate a family (2+2) in one room. There weren't many options so we chose this one - which turned out to be perfect.

It's a ten minutes walk to the hospital and about 7 mins to the centre (the opposite direction). There is a car park one street away (30 second walk) which is free and has cameras. The breakfast is a buffet style and has some hot food too - sausage, bacon and eggs. The breakfast is included in the price and is there is as much choice as you could want - not loads and loads, but enough. There is someone who tops up the food as it runs out.

The staff, especially the breakfast and cleaning staff, are friendly and helpful. The penzion is clean and room sizes quite generous. We had a great corner bath that the kids loved. The furniture is functional but we got a decent night's sleep (4 nights, actually). There is a bar with smoking and non-smoking areas, and a play area for the kids - not near the smoking area - which really kept the children occupied (it's for younger children, say under 7). No criticisms, although (in common with most Slovak hotels) do not expect the reception staff to welcome you when they see you for the first time - it's a cultural thing.

I would very much recommend this place if walking a few minutes to centre is not a problem for you. An excellent budget option

Quaint with mod cons, I've stayed in far worse at three times the cost. The staff are pleasant and friendly but I think that's a Slovak thing. Trencin is a strange place at the back end of September - as if they all upped and went somewhere else leaving it all geared up but empty of people.
The Exclusive is for the able bodied younger fitter person; the 3rd floor is quite a gasp especially carrying luggage. The energy saving lights switch on as you approach but turn off in the middle of negotiating the upper stairs - bring a torch if you're nervous. No lifts or wheelchairs. Car park is 50 metres away.
The 2 storey bedrooms are interesting - again for the able bodied. The decor is fine but the floorboards are noisy - the neighbouring rooms you can hear and I'd pay a bit more for some carpeted corridors. The ensuite was fine; no curtains or shower curtain but it didn't seem to matter. Go again? Yes but if the company are paying I'd go for a more conventional hotel. WiFi worked in the bar area but didn't make it upstairs - my room wasn't one for sitting in and working. I could only get terrestrial Slovak TV so take adapters and extension - the lights and TV ensemble hog all the sockets.

We booked Maisonette suit with air conditioning from August 19th to September 2nd. We even confirmed it over the phone with a one nice lady at the reception twice, last time two-three days before arriving. When we arrived very tired after long trip at about 6 pm we were given a mini suit upstairs, without an elevator, where we could barely fit our suitcases. The temperature in the bedroom was about 35 C (95 F), there was no air conditioning! When we complained, we learned that the owner gave our room to his family members from abroad. So we called the owner and he told us: "the mistake has been made" without apology, without trying to help. So we took our belongings and left. This is really not a way how to deal with customers!!

Hotel is in a very good location. Breakfast was excellent. Room was very large with small fridge and loft. It looks like a ski chalet from the 70’s. Room was clean but a few cob webs ( part of an old building). Many stairs to get to our room
