The rooms are very good, clean and tidy. Martina the young cleaning lady was very helpful and spoke very good English. She made sure that we had everything we needed. We stayed for a week with no complaints. It is in a central location with view up to the castle, very close to the railway station. In addition to the list of amenities we had a hair dryer in the room. The parking is very easy just outside the door. Be aware there are no catering facilities on the premises, however there are numerous good restaurants and cafes within a few minutes walk. The only negative point we had was that the shower holder was broken so you had to hold the shower by hand. As some others have put, reception is in the "casino" underneath which can be interesting as not all the staff speak English, but we managed and the paperwork was completed. You can feel traffic vibration/noise at times.…
It is right next to the train/bus station. We were in two and we got huge room - actually two rooms with two single beds and one double size bed. Check-in is in casino downstairs. The staff was all through the check-in on phone, he did not speak english and he didn't show us where our room is
Really nice room and great bathroom! The thing that ruined the stay though was the staff in the bar where we checked in. He needs a hospitality course or perhaps take a job as a security guard. Grumpy at check in and when we asked at check out if we could leave the luggage while we visited the castle he said no and was most unhelpfull. First impression last, will not return.
We stayed in Trencin one night. Pension is located near centre. Small , clean room in the first floot. 2 bottles of water and a gift were waiting for us in the room. The room is equiped with refrigerator. Perfect
Great value for this 5-star penzión - very unique, beautiful and tastefully newly decorated. Great convenient location, y short walk to Trencin Castle which can be seen from the pension. The en-suite room is big, clean and quiet, bed was comfortable, flat screen TV and strong hot shower, free Wifi is fast and free parking. Shower cap, mini bottle shower gel, shampoo, comb and nail file was provided like 5-star hotel! It comes with a small fridge, kettle, in-room complimentary tea, coffee, 2 bottles of sparkling mineral water and a fridge magnet gift. Highly recommended to stay in this charming and wonderful guesthouse if you are in this area.
We only spend one night in mid-September. It is about 15 minute walk to the city center. There is free parking available right in front of the building. The place is located in the attic of a building that also houses a clinic and a 24/7 bar with slot machines. There is no reception desk and no breakfast provided. To check in, you have to go to the bar in the basement (warning--it does feel creepy even during the day) and talk to the bartender, but the rooms are a good value for what you pay. We paid 30 euros for one night including the local tax. They only take cash. Our room had a good size fridge and an electric kettle. There was water, some wafers, instant coffee, tea, and a "gift souvenir magnet" for us. The décor was a bit 1990's but who cares for one night. A nice surprise was the toiletries provided. They included combs, manicure sets, shower caps, and even slippers. The downside was that the hot water did not work, but since we only spent one night before we headed back to my parent's house, it did not bother us much. I do not recommend visiting the bar. We did have a drink there when we came back from the city center on a colder night and it was quite creepy.…
Nice little place Cheap and cheerful. You have to enter the casino below . As with most Slovakian hotels you must give them a copy of your passport. And they only take cash . Comfortable and quiet when we were there in October
The place is cheap, clean and in a good location for the town centre. There is also free parking and the station is near bye. No frills but all in all acceptable. Great for before and after pohoda music festival. If you want luxury, head for the Elizabeth. It's 100 euro but worth it
Penzion Pri Parku was a small pension in Trencin that did not include breakfast and was located over a casino. The price was cheap and the bathroom was in the room. The halls were very cheery and it was clean. When we rented the room we knew it was cheap; didn't include breakfast; had free parking; and was in a good location. What we didn't know was that we wouldn't be able to sit up in bed; sit back on the sofa; or only stand in a small fraction of the space that was our room. We ARE tall people but no one would have been able to sit back on the sofa or stand in much of the room. Also, the sheets on the bed were very rough flannel and felt like sandpaper. So, since I think comfort includes not hitting your head every time you turn around, this should have been included in the room description. They received an average rating because it was cheap, clean, and in a good location.…
There is just 6 rooms and it is clean, everything you need in the bathroom, a lot of pillows on the bed, hear-dryer, flowers, map of the city, view to the park, calm part of the city, I can not believe.. and it is so cheap.I was there three times.
