pros: Stayed here with my friend for a long weekend. We liked the overall cleanliness. Our suite room was spacious and nice designed. The suite also comes wit a huge bathroom incl. hot tub and hairdryer. There is a big flat TV in the room. The double bed was very comfortable even for a person like me (6,5 ft). We enjoyed the breakfast. It was nothing groundbreaking but good enough for a 3* hotel. And all fresh. All staff was extremely kind and helpful. Which is a big pros. cons: In our room 208 the hot tub was out of order. We have been told the guests don´t know how to use it and damaged it all time. So the hotel shut it off. I was a bit disappointed about it. There is a TV guide for the channels in the room. But you will find only Russian TV channels there. Some others were not available.…
Stayed here for just one night in suite 108. Suite was nice, although not functional and room decor was outdated. Bed comfort was also lacking, as I had pain in my back the next day. What was really disturbing was the noise from 5 am coming from across the yard, where post office is located. Just incredible - could not sleep after that. Breakfast quite modest for its price tag (8 EUR), so we decided to go to the nearby Coop shop and buy us something. Wi-fi free and fast.
I recently visited the restaurant/bar of this establishment with my partner for lunch. I should have read the warning signs when I saw it was empty while all food places nearby were full. We opted to sit inside and picked a seat. A waitress approached promptly and took our order of Caesar salad and a tandoori salad. We received it appropriately 20 minutes later and upon starting discovered a long black curly hair. I called the waiter who apologised and took it away and returned approximately 10 minutes later. After ,nobody approached us to enquire how was it or would we require anything however We could hear the staff members behind the bar laughing and joking. When we finished nobody came to ask about tea/ etc so we went to the bar and paid. I decided to lodge my unhappiness with the service and spoke with a polite receptionist who apologised and called to the restaurant. When she finished the call she said they say they replaced the salad and I said it was the bad service I was complaining about. Her reply was sorry but what can I do about that ? …
Good stay in the city. Tasty breakfast. Small but nice wellness. NIce and cleann rooms. Comfy bed. NIce staff. Hotel is directly in teh city centre. Parking is small and sometimes you are not able to park here with reservation.
Comfortable and quiet hotel located in the central zone. Good breakfast and gentle staff. Absolutely ok for business trip. Clean room and unusual bathroom along a rounded shape of the bathtub. No minibar. Hairdryer in the room.
we stayed in this hotel for a friend's wedding and were really impressed by how vast and spacious the room was, how comfortable and clean everything was. There was also a giantic bath. You could stay in this hotel room for ages! Staff were really helpful. There's a nice breakfast in the morning. The only thing the hotel lacks is a communal area such as a bar. it's in a great location in the heart of Trencin and it was nice to see the bars nearby full of very civilised drinkers... a really fun night out.
My husband and I decided to take a detour to Slovakia while we were in Europe visiting other places. I actually lived and worked in Trenčin from 1999-2001, so I had fun reminiscing and showing my husband old places. I have many happy memories of the time I lived in Trenčin. I was glad to see some improvements that had been made in the town. We spent two nights at the Grand Hotel, and our room was spacious and comfortable (had our own little living room and hall). The breakfast choices were delicious and the staff were helpful. They were especially patient with me as I attempted to speak Slovak again. (Dakujem Vam za všetko!) The only issue we had was regarding the spa/relax centrum services...the card/flyer in the room described the services made it sound like the entrance to the sauna was free for guests. However, this was not the case as we had to pay for that service when we checked out. So I would recommend that you make this clearer to your guests.…
We stayed here for a wedding. Central location a few steps from all the restaurants and bars...oh and coffee shops. The staff are friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. We stayed in room on second floor. Breakfast isn’t that great and you can always go elsewhere to eat. The room we were in did not have a stand up shower but a shower spray in the bath. Ok if you are able to sit down and shower and apply shower gel etc but you have to put shower back to do this. Cold drinks offered at front desk but much cheaper to go to supermarket which is 30 seconds from the hotel. Shop is open till 6 Monday-Friday. 12 on Saturday and closed Sunday so stock up early
We were ín the hotel for 2nights. Everything was ok. Breakfast was good, the staff was very nice. We enjoyed our stay. There were only a few displesent things in our room: there Washington a really Strong smoke odor & the ventillator ín the bath was not working.
The hotel is in the city center and a short walk to all restaurants, pubs and historical buildings. The receptionists are very efficient. The rooms are nice and big. Coffee and tea is available in the room. The breakfast is also nice. I will definitely recommend the Hotel, not that it is needed, because is mainly fully booked.
