This uses to be really nice hotel in 30-ies. Architecture -great functionalism. Unfortunately, the spirit is gone, except of it, it is still influenced by communism. I mean equipment, smell of chloride in the bathrooms, weird furniture, strange decorations, ... We were lucky the first day we checked in. There was a young lady in practice. She was really trying to help us as hotel lost our reservation (actually forgot to add it to reservation system). We booked "the best room" - called "standard". Unfortunately it seemed we can not get it but then she found one. Another types of rooms are called "Economy" and "Retro". Well, as we entered our standard room, I would consider it as retro mixed with economy. It was definitely not worth of 55 Eur/night. The best was the view! The rest I can not recommend. Next day, there was another receptionist - a bit older. She noticed us but continued working on PC, then picked private phone call - while queue was getting longer and longer. All we wanted was to leave our luggage there. We had to wait around 10 minutes, listen to many complaints from others about lax personnel. Really return back to communism when a receptionist was king of world. I do not recommend to be accomodated in this hotel. It is not cheap, you will not get proper service, nearby thermal pool is cold (28C), just it is located in a calm enviroment. But there is an exception: if you want to return 30 years in time, go there!

This is a huge, slightly forbidding, complex of variously starred hotels on a hilltop and in extensive, park-like grounds. Cars had to be parked at the bottom of the hill, with many steps to ascend. The car park had a 24-hour security guard. The room was functional, clean and adequately furnished and had an unusual, metallic look door- but there were no bars on the windows ! There was a good shower- as should be expected in a spa. Small TV, with BBC & Eurosport. The restaurant was quite a long walk (outside, mainly under cover) from Reception. Dinner was plain, but tasty, with several choices and good-sized portions. One couldn’t escape the impression of hospital fare: but there was nothing wrong with this. Breakfast was an extensive buffet, with hot options.
