Stayed here 3 nights with my friend.
The location couldn't be better.
You will see this beautiful art deco styled historical building just after you exit the train station. The bus station is just about 100 m away, city center only 10 min by walk.
Many thanks to all the helpful and kind staff.
The room was spacious and very clean, so was all the hotel.
The restaurant was great, all the food very tasty, I really recommend their cuisine, coffee etc.
There is also a smoking room there.
I would definitely come again.
Many thanks

I would improve the breakfast buffet. The variety could be better for a 4* hotel.
Even though this region of Slovakia is not particularly hot, the climate is changing even here, so someone would miss air con in the room during summer.

I had a lovely week's stay at the Hotel Europe. It is very convenient for anyhow traveling by train, since it is literally steps away from the Poprad-Tatry rail terminal. It is a comfortable hotel with lovely rooms, very quiet. The cafe is very nice and has a good selection of dishes, mostly Slovak, and wonderful deserts. The breakfast is very good. But the best think about the Hotel Poprad is the very attentive and kind staff, from the management to the cafe staff to the housekeeping staff. They were always very helpful and friendly. They also did a very good and quick job with my laundry.

Poprad is a very neat and tidy town. The center of town is maybe 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel.

What a lovely hotel! Staff were so friendly and welcoming and the hotel was extremely comfortable and well-appointed. The place provides exceptional value for money. Breakfast offered a nice variety of options. We also had dinner on our 1st night and coffee and cakes the next day in the separate restaurant and we really enjoyed the food. Top service.
The hotel is right next to the railway station and there are a couple of supermarkets a few steps away. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk into Poprad. The walk is easy. And the town is worth a visit. The Christmas lights were beautiful.
Thanks to all who made our short stay absolutely delightful.

I called in to have a coffee in the coffee shop here.
I was curious about staying in the hotel in the future - I did not stay in the hotel this time.
The waitress (Stanislava) was very helpful and spoke excellent English.
The coffee shop area was well presented.
Unfortunately, it was spoiled by people smoking in the eating area - not just in the 'Cigar Lounge'.
Apart from that - seemed like a nice place...

Terrible staff , lots of issues . The lady at the reception rude , unhelpful . Didn’t say anything about our breakfast included and where what time served ! I had to remind her . Not talking about no words of any touristic attractions etc

Manager also very rude ! Sending us away .. in a rude way .. that if we don’t like the “type of bed .. “ as it was twin instead double as it was booked .. we have to leave ! He kicked us out from the room .. and not one sorry for the incovinience .. nothing .. I would STRONGLY not recommend this hotel to noone .. and even further .. I would cut all connections with the hotel like this ! We do travel a lot .. but this behaviour we have never ever experienced before !
Oh .. and I can’t fiorget .. when contacted reception ... receptionist hanged up twice !

Would love to discuss these issues with the general manager ! Unaccepted , rude behaviour ! Not a single sign of professionalism neither good willing to resolve issue ! Incompetent manager and very rude , didnt care much .. was rushing after girlfriend or wife ..
We have left after about 20-30 minutes of arrival time .
Took an another place ... which is 300% better !
And mostly everything is as it was advertised
Very happy in the new place !!!!

This hotel is overpriced for what it provides. The proximity to the bus and train station is why we stayed here as we had a tight train connection. We got up early in order to see Spis castle before our departure, but breakfast does not start until 7:30. We attempted to leave our bags but were told that the left luggage was actually in a pizzeria on the floor below the hotel, which didn't open until 10 am. The staff person told us she would take the bags down to the pizzeria when it opened (which was quite nice), but we then had to leave our bags just sitting unsupervised in the lobby. When we returned from the castle (which is a 40 minute taxi ride away, by the way--you are better off staying in Levoca or Kosice if your goal is to see Spis castle), in a rush as it is impossible to find a taxi at Spis castle, the pizzeria was locked, and we were unable to get our luggage. As very little English is spoken by the staff, it was very difficult to convey the issue, and we almost missed our train. Also, even trying to figure out our options to see Spis castle was very difficult because the staff does not really speak English and did not seem interested in helping us (so don't expect concierge services or any kind of advice). The wifi was also really slow, so it was tough to do research on our own. Our first room had a bad smell, but they moved us to a second room, which was clean, but the bathroom light triggered a fan that would not go off and was very noisy. Overall, this hotel does not justify the price and is not convenient to anything in Poprad other than the bus and train station. If you have a really early morning departure (and are ok missing breakfast) or a late arrival, then it might be worth it, but otherwise, stay elsewhere.

The best location in Poprad ..for travellers and business trip. Close to transport to the Tatra mountains. Big room, very nice furniture, large comfortable bed. Room was quiet despite the hotel is next to the train station. Nice cafe/bar with live piano music.
Good wi-fi conection. Compare to other hotels in the city this hotel is most valuable and the newest as well.

The hotel was probably renovated not long ago and makes a clean impression.
A small free parking lot is located directly in front of the house.
The Europa is located right next to Poprad station. The centre of Poprad is a little further away; however it can be reached by walking across a small park.
Reception by the staff was very friendly.
Our spacious room could be reached through a dark hallway with steps. It proved to be quiet and nicely decorated.
But there were a number of disappointments, too: The view from the room of another part of the hotel was not exactly interesting, there was no air conditioning, the windows were difficult to open due to the heavy curtains, the mini-bar offered only a small selection of drinks at high prices and there was no water kettle.
The cramped bathroom was well equipped, but access to the shower rather awkward.
The TV-set seemed somewhat small considering the room size.
Internet access was free, but via LAN only, i.e. the demand for Wi-Fi in the room which is the widespread standard in 4-star-hotels was not met.
The hotel can be recommended but we encountered numerous hotels with a far better price-performance ratio in the Slovak Republic. The situation in Poprad cannot be judged.

This hotel is after reconstruction, furniture is new, rooms are beautiful, lot of space, staff is very friendly and helpful, and location - 10meter to the train station and 5 minutes on foot to the city center. I highly recommend this hotel.
