We were travelling through Slovakia and stayed for 2 nights in Poprad. This hotel was a very good option as it’s very close to the rail and bus stations - to get you everywhere including around the mountain towns/villages. It’s also close to the town centre. The hotel is relatively quiet despite its location and is very clean and appealing looking inside - the rooms have plenty of space in-between each other with big corridors and we heard no noise from other rooms. Our room was very large in fact. The breakfast was adequate - bread, meats, cheese etc - and all in all we were happy with this choice.

The location of the hotel just opposite a strip club was not pleasant. Fortunately, we had access to the hotel's private parking and hardly needed to use the main entrance. Also, the heating in the hotel worked only for short periods and hard enough for our taste. Apart from that the rooms were very spacious and clean. The decor was very nice, the beds were comfortable. It was nice to be in the room. Breakfast was very good and the owners were polite and nice. We felt that we were receiving excellent value for our money.

The rooms look great with a tasteful mix of IKEA furniture plus other stuff. Rooms are big enough and beds comfortable. Rooms are squeaky clean! Staff is helpful and very nice. Breakfast is fresh and good. Parking is good, private and safe. Things to consider and improve: 1. We were in two rooms and both showers leak and create a pool outside. 2. The curtains are nice but rooms need blinds or shutters outside because the rooms is just too bright to sleep as soon as the sun goes up. 3. The hotel is close to the trains which create some noise. Not much to fix there but maybe better windows? 4. More important: get some good doors to the corridors. The hotel was quite empty but I could see that if there was lots of folk in the hotel sound insulation would become a problem. 5. The area is not pretty and strip joint in front of the house (but no noise coming from there). Nothing than can be done here. (Just info) I would return here for a stay. Hopefully these issues will be improved by then! 😉…
