Lovely hotel, clean in all common areas and spacious well-appointed rooms, with excellent food for lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant, served by attentive staff.
The wellness centre is fantastic however, I can’t comment about the massage as we visited during a public holiday weekend, so treatments weren’t available. You can book use of the wellness centre in 2-hr blocks, so plenty of time to relax and enjoy all the different facilities.
It’s a 5 minute taxi ride to the city centre, where we also did a guided tour of Nitra castle, which was very interesting and well worth the visit.
Also, there are no single rooms, which makes it a lot more expensive for a person traveling alone, as you also pay for 2 breakfasts.
A group of 6 of us were visiting Nitra Slovakia on a business trip to a nearby factory.
Upon arrival feeling hot and weary having flown from Bulgaria to Austria and then driven to Nitra Slovakia we were given a happy charming welcome and a glass of sparkling wine - how nice we thought!
Having checked in we were shown our rooms which were cozy and smart by western standards as was our bathrooms. the hotel appointment and decoration might in the UK be called "twee" as it had a homely country feel.
Our evening and breakfast meals were great. they have a really good resteraunt staff who know how to cook. The deserts were Fab!
In the evening we sat outside where comfortable chairs and tables were provided and watched the sun go down with a drink. This was the highlight of our stay as the hotel sits on a hill overlooking a vista that might fit in Tuscany bathed in the golden light of a setting sun. Magic!!!
Upon checking out we were given a piece of chocolate and coconut cake as a goodbye gift - mmmmmmmmmm lovely
So departed 6 very revived and happy UK/German visitors

I arrived too late to take advantage of the laundering service, but the staff were happy to lend me an iron and ironing board.
The restaurant offers spectacular views. Not a place to dine alone as the combination of view, lighting and soft music makes it a romantic setting. I can recommend the lamb, the fish soup and a steak with chilli sauce. Typical prices seem to be around €20 per dish. The steaks vary depending on size. Room service is available should the restaurant not be your thing.
The staff are friendly and helpful - creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
My only gripe is that the “soft” music in the hall never seems to stop - so my sleep was disturbed as a result. Otherwise this would have been a 5 Star experience.
The owner Robert was brilliant from start to finish!
The hotel was perfect for relax, for experience and food in the restaurant was really amazing.
Thank you so much and would recommend to anyone and would love to visit again.

Our room was large and well designed. Great TV and air con. The balcony with the views was stunning. The spa area is lovely and very quiet, (no surprise given the high prices for non hotel guests!) but some of the temperature settings need altering. I nearly boiled my feet off in the foot spa and the tepidarium beds were scorching. Also got soaked leaving spa to return to my room as the sepertae buildings are spread across different levels, not ideal for pushchairs or wheelchair at all.
The service was excellent. The hotel and wedding were both great. My only complaint would be the food in the restaurant. It was expensive and poorly cooked. My fish and chips was awful and my husband's chips were also undercooked and soggy. The fish was full of bones with undercooked flaccid chips. I complained but received only a "sorry" as the waiter took away my plate. Breakfast was also mediocre. The DIY kitchen concept is interesting but poorly restocked and there were bottle necks when a big group wanted tea or coffee.
I would stay again as the rest of the hotel is fantastic, so don't be put off.
